Understanding Healthcare

Why is it so hard to repeal and replace ObamaCare?

big-pharma-profitsWhen we talk of making a law, this is the ideal: One transparent source, one subject, one bill, enough time for politicians to read the bill, enough time for the electorate to weigh in on the bill, a simple up/down vote ON THAT ONE SUBJECT and a two thirds majority where applicable. Could it be simpler? Simple is good.

Sadly this is not how it works in Washington.

LOL. Not so long ago the Senate voted in favor of a continuing resolution, a funding bill that funded the government through the end of 2016. The only problem is that there was NO BILL. They were voting on a nothing.  Of course they approved it. Go figure?

Come the next funding omnibus and they folded again. Many Trump supporters saw this as betrayal after trust.

Why is this happening over and over?

Willing to bet my bottom dollar that the spending omnibus was not crafted by legislators.  They were once again given far too little time to study and debate a bill THAT HAD MORE WORDS IN IT THAN A BIBLE. Takes time behind the scenes to put something like that together.  This is a problem in organization. Re-organization of how our lawmakers do business is long overdue.

Legislative shenanigans are acutely relevant to healthcare bills.

Maybe time for the Senate to revisit the history of Obama’s deeply flawed HealthCare bill: ObamaCare was quite simply BAD LEGISLATION and as so, it was unsustainable.

As a law, ObamaCare was never crafted with legislative integrity. It was passed by Democrats with not a single Republican voting for it. It could not have become the law of the land had there not been many legislative shenanigans used by Harry Reid to force it through.

We call ObamaCare a coercive law. There were people being forced to buy HealthCare Insurance they neither needed nor wanted.  Coercive laws and coercive (big brother) government is the biggest threat to our Republic (and to the world) at this time.

In 2009 Harry Reid  was confident he “just” had the 60 votes to get ObamaCare passed; however according to congressional rules such a bill could not originate in the Senate; it was a revenue bill. So Reid went ahead and found an old (passed) Senate bill HR3590 (a military housing bill) and stripped the bill of its original language, thereby creating ObamaCare. Huh? Duh? You get it? That’s right. ObamaCare began with a confused identity.

The whole ObamaCare process violated the fundamental principles of good legislating.

There were other problems to making this law: Way back then the house wanted to make some changes to the bill and the house-amended version was scheduled to go back to the Senate for final approval.  Unfortunately in the interim democratic Senator Teddy Kennedy died, and was replaced by a Republican. Hello! Reid no longer had the 60 votes to get ObamaCare passed so once again he had to resort to underhand dealings.

This is what happened: The House would pass the Senate’s original bill (with no changes). Then they would table all the changes they wanted AND THIS THEY CALLED RECONCILIATION. Then they would pass the reconciliation bill. Hello! This was legislating? Excuse me? Of course it was all illegal but you see it was all so complicated that they got away with it.

Do you wonder ObamaCare is difficult to undo? It was a bill crafted from the FAR LEFT with no support from the RIGHT. So do you wonder the Freedom Caucus recently reacted by trying to craft a bill from the FAR RIGHT. That is how it goes: Action and Reaction. There has to be BALANCE TO CREATE SUSTAINABLE LEGISLATION. Trump understands this.

We all knew that ObamaCare was in no way created by politicians; but instead by Big Pharma for Big Pharma. Did not Big Pharma even bribe a judge when this patently illegal bill was challenged in court?  Sadly the bill included Saul Allinsky benefits and so with some (unethical Americans) it became popular. Always some eager to ride the gravy train.

The old Harry Reid/Obama WAY OF DOING BUSINESS (which is not good for America) has to change.

One bill, one subject

Enough time for legislators to read the bill

Time for we the people to study and discuss the bill.

An up & down vote (60 majority as necessary)

Could anything be more simple?

NOTE WELL: there is a long, long history of the wily Obama (with the help of Boehner) socking it to Congress. There is also a long history of the effete GOP establishment going along to get along, pocketing bribes from corporate America. Can we put that all in the past? Let’s all move forward in integrity. There is a new sheriff in town.  The enemy NOW is Obama/SOROS – for those Senators who have opposed Trump there is room on the Trump Train BUT THEY HAVE TO FIX THEIR MORAL COMPASS.

McConnell and the Senate should pass healthcare AND AT THE SAME TIME address the major CORRECTION OF PROCEDURE creating new habits of good legislating. The first Ryan/Trump Healthcare bill ran aground because the Freedom Caucus who had become tired of legislative shenanigans. When Price (McConnell?) and Ryan had the bill written IN SECRET and kept behind doors under lock & key, the bill was already doomed.

With Obama’s legacy on the line now and the House having passed TrumpCare, the global forces arraigned against McConnell and the Republican Senators will be escalating.  Add into the mix that good conservative men, Cruz, Rand Paul and Mike Lee want a full repeal and Trump’s debating & dealing skills will be put to the test as he gets TrumpCare through the Senate.

For those uncommitted to supporting Trump on HealthCare, consider this: It is possible to put a man (unrestrained) in a pot with a comfortable temperature. He is sitting there comfortable so of course he doesn’t jump out. Then they increase the temperature 5 degrees every half hour and, guess what? Eventually they are able to boil the man alive.  I don’t know how true this story is but I do know by observation that this universe works in GRADIENTS.

Trump seems to understand that his first job as president is to keep America safe, his second job is to bring back order. The Senate (composed mainly of men of good will)  would be wise to have Trump’s back for these are good goals, much needed by America right now. Trump is struggling to bring back order to America in the face of insurrection and insurgency from the SOROS/OBAMA camp as assisted by useful idiots from the Left.

After TrumpCare squeaked through the house, what was the worst that happened?  We had movie star Cher (worth millions) lamenting that she canno longer get free asthma care. The new Trump bill is brilliant. It is also kind and compassionate, not taking away care from those who desperately need healthcare. Trump & Price & Pence have crafted a healthcare bill that will dumb down the protests, yet over time still get to the the promised land. What is the promised land? Getting Healthcare out of Government.

The new Trump HealthCare bill rolls back ObamaCare on a gradient. That it still keeps some parts of the HealthCare organization (not the bill itself) is a plus, not a negative.  I talk here of the parts of the organization running smoothly.  Over the last eight years it is not just the the bill made changes, Medicine itself was changing, with new systems, new protocols, new HMOs and many, many new staff who have been trained.  We want to keep America employed. There has (by observation) been much re-organization over the last eight years.  These are concrete things not to be sacrificed to an ideology.

This is the main thing has to be addressed: The way Congress has been operating HAS TO CHANGE.

Senators should also GIVE TRUMP HIS DUE.  He is the right man for his time. He fully understands his first job is to keep America safe. He also knows he has to bring back ORDER. He is very deserving of GOP support. Trump is tasked to save the world from global corruption, from a global BIG BROTHER who wants to destroy America. For Trump to succeed he desperately needs the support of a principled GOP Senate, GOP Congressmen, Tea Party volunteers, Trump Train social media supporters and we the people.

He doesn’t have all that many clean hands around him to help him DRAIN THE SWAMP.

Understanding Bad Legislation

Dirty Tricks have been used to pass Bad Laws

We have a sound system given us by the founders. And it works but if we don’t find & INVESTIGATE AND PROSECUTE the enemies within, we could be losing America to global oppression.

When we talk of making a law, this is the ideal: One transparent source, one subject, one bill, enough time for politicians to read the bill, enough time for the electorate to weigh in on the bill, a simple up/down vote ON THAT ONE SUBJECT and a two thirds majority where applicable. Could it be simpler? Simple is good.

Sadly this is not how it works in Washington. Do you wonder why Congress has such a low approval rating?

LOL. The Senate has just voted in favor of a continuing resolution, a funding bill for the Federal Government’s spending until Dec. 9.

The only problem is that there was no bill. They were voting on a nothing.

There was no text for this bill, yet the Senate voted 89-7 to proceed to this nonexistent bill. This is a 2016 government spending bill that should have been written and discussed and negotiated and published long before Congress went on vacation.

Congress has the job to make laws but it also has the power to set budgets and thereby control spending. This gives them the means to curb excesses or corruption in the Executive or the Judiciary. The three functions of government should be balanced one against the other. No more.

In Sept 2016 there are two federal excesses Republicans should have been controlling, the Internet handover and secondly the the high cost & ethics of the “Refugee Invasion” Neither was addressed in this the latest McConnell sellout.

If voting on a bill that doesn’t even exist were not so potentially tragic, it would be laughable.

01one bill

The Mitch McConnell-Harry Reid era has witnessed a Senate that is less transparent, where individual members are less aware of their rights, and where there is a growing centralization of power in the leader’s office.

Not okay

McConnell finally produced the bill giving Senators only four days to study it before voting (two of these were weekend days)  Was it planned to slide this through while everybody’s attention was on the first Debate?

Sadly, this is not the first time this irresponsibility has happened.

The Story of Glass-Steagall

Glass Steagall (1933 -1999) was legislation that curbed income inequality. The biggest challenge we face to day is income inequality.

Glass Steagall was repealed right at the end of Bill Clinton’s watch and it has been said that this and the irresponsible deregulation that occurred during the Clinton second term, sewed the seeds for the BIG CRASH of 2008. Robert E. Rubin and Mr. Summers, also culpable for our current economic woes, still maintain strong influence in the Hilary campaign. Neither has been investigated nor prosecuted.

TBTF

Glass- Steagall was designed to limit conflicts of interest and the creation of over bloated banks with questionable assets that in 2016 are again getting too-big-to-fail.

Banks would never have needed the bail-outs, while still being banned by Glass Steagall from underwriting securities. Glass Steagall is a simple law and it forces banks to choose between being a simple lender or an underwriter (brokerage). It is a good law and it worked for half a century.  It could work again today. Derivatives (which were banned by the Glass Steagall) are fast creating the next financial crisis. We have a dangerous situation with even more banks that are too big to fail.

Along with this forming bubble, is the unsustainable debt the quality needed most in the next president of 2016 is a clean slate with regards to finances. Even more than that we need a STRONG president to help us handle any fallout that may occur from what is still a condition laid in by Bill Clinton, his economic advisers and the big banks.

The story of the Federal Reserve

Fed stats

The Federal Reserve Act was enacted on December 23rd 1913 to create the Federal Reserve and the Central Banking System.  It was slipped through Congress while most of the delegates were away on holiday!

How effective has the Federal Reserve been in managing our money?  Statistics show they did turn the economy around in 2008, but that the recovery for main stream has been tepid at best. Small business is still struggling and too many people are living paycheck to paycheck. They can’t blow thier horn on having had much success. Of most concern is this is the USA debt that they have created for our children.

At this point in time, the Fed is an established part of the fabric of our system of money but there should be more oversight.  Significant efforts to get a complete audit of the FED have so far failed. There has been no complete audit of this establishment in the over 100 years of its existence.

They have allowed the market to turn into one giant casino and should be audited and held accountable.

ObamaCare

cost of obamacareIt is still too early to evaluate this expensive Act; so far there have been some good and some bad consequences. We do know though that it is costing the country money. So be it. What we can say with an absolute certainty is that ObamaCare is not a law crafted with legislative integrity.

ObamaCare was passed by democrats; not a single Republican voting for it and there were some legislative shenanigans used to force it through; making it a coercive law.  Is it any wonder that the GOP rage about healthcare is still escalating?

Harry Reid in 2009 was confident he “just” had the 60 votes to get OmbamaCare passed; however according to congressional rules, (like now) such a bill could not originate in the Senate as it is a revenue bill. So Reid went ahead and found an old Senate bill HR3590 (a military housing bill) and stripped the bill of its original language, thereby creating ObamaCare. Huh? You get it. That’s right. ObamaCare began with a confused identity.

There were other problems: The house wanted to make some changes to the bill and the house-amended version was scheduled to go back to the Senate for approval.  Unfortunately in the interim Senator Teddy Kennedy died getting himself replaced by a Republican. Hello! Reid no longer had the votes to get the amended Act approved.

He cut a deal; the House would pass the Senate’s original bill (no changes) and in addition the House would create a new bill that tabled all the desired changes calling it a reconciliation bill. After all who cared about the changes? The bill is so long and complex that nobody was going to read it anyway.

ObamaCare was not created by politicians; it was created by Big Pharma and their lawyers, nothing representative here.  Nothing simple here.

Of course with a Reconciliation Act tagged on, this only further complicated the complex bill.  Note: Such a use of a reconciliation bill is also contrary to congressional rules.

Twice now the Supreme Court has rubber-stamped ObamaCare raising the question, given its blatant illegality, are there any other dirty tricks here in play like blackmail?

None of these above laws could have been passed or been forced on us had there been a true integrity in the legislative process and an ethics body to investigate and make sure our politicians play by the rules.

What the corrupt Senate does not know is that it is a new day and the American citizen is coming to take his country back. This kind of legislating is totally unacceptable. We are expected to follow these bad laws.  So we are going to expect our elected officials to shape up. Minimally they should be carefully studying and understanding all bills before they vote on them. And they need a moral compass when voting.

Let them all be put on notice: We are recording their votes and holding them accountable.

2016 should also be the year when we have the courage to hold our banks accountable, demanding that those who manage our money and our healthcare, do so in the interest of the greater good.

Political Secrets

Corruption cannot survive if the light of day is shone on it

unconstitutionalAs corruption breaks up and it breaks away, it is a noisy process.

For almost a century and especially in the new digital age big bad corporations have gamed the system. How do we fix this, we force in transparency.

Coercive government, religion or healthcare is WRONG.

Stealing from the working class of America to pay for an unfair corporate, banking, government or global privilege is WRONG

America supports freedom of religion; good religions aim to enhance NOT to dominate. Justifying the use of force in religion (as in radical Islam & Sharia Law) is WRONG

It is only when our laws enable such coercive thinking that they, too become wrong.

The biggest force for freedom is the Internet. The Internet has remained FREE because it has operated in the USA under the Bill of Rights. Here in the USA freedom of speech is guaranteed. This is not the case in most of the other countries in the world. Thanks to what has been a free and open Internet we have been able to drain the swamp in this new age.  The people when they KNOW will not tolerate corruption.  So we can say that King Obama had no MORAL right to abdicate on the control of the Internet as this truly rests with we the American people.

Two things drive change: the ideas of man and new technological breakthroughs. Make America Great Again may not seem to be a new idea; given what has been politically correct to think and say over the last 25 years has been the New World Order. Whether he wins or not, Donald Trump will be changing “Business as Usual” and “Banking as Usual”, and shaking up the corruption in America.

In living memory there have been three civilizing waves: the Agricultural, the Industrial and now the Digital-Electronic Wave. The changes we now experience are fast and furious and are akin to a gigantic wave that is descending on us.  It is because of this that we need new leaders, men of vision who can help us to see where we are going. It is in times like this that we need a simple formula to sort it all out. There is such a formula and it is this:

EVIL SURVIVES IN SECRECY, CORRUPTION CANNOT THRIVE WHEN THE LIGHT OF DAY IS SHONE ON IT.

It takes men of courage and honesty to stand firm and hold a true course as we let go of the old corrupt order. It is such men of courage that we need to seek out and support in this next election.

Imagine a powerful sea, with large waves breaking. The force of each new wave is met by the force of the prior wave receding. At the place where the two waves meet, their force is broken into a thousand swirling eddies. Is this not what our society is experiencing right now?.

It is not the first time two powerful civilizing waves have met and wreaked havoc on society. It was the force of the Industrial Revolution that undid the old agricultural order of Kings and the Aristocrats. The difference was that in those days it was easy to see unfair advantage and inevitable that justice and fair play would eventually overcome. The world was smaller but even then the changes brought by the new industrial wave fighting an entrenched corrupt agricultural order wreaked havoc on the world. The French Revolution was ugly.

As the Industrial wave now meets the Digital Wave, the Digital Revolution has taken us global.

Now the the conflict is both bigger and more subtle. This is because in the industrial order it is easy for bad men to hide because of the split between the consumer and the producer. Those taking advantage have learned to steal from both producer and consumer and they have perfected the art of hiding in the middle.  When men do not act to serve the greatest good, their activities MUST be conducted in SECRECY.

Those who have bad secrets are running scared and we can know them by their efforts to hide their acts and to curb transparency.

As the corrupt industrial and financial model crumbles, it is actually possible to create a better culture, maybe even a golden age. This may be hard to see as the water swirls around us and the banking and corporate and military and political powers fight to maintain an income inequality that will upend our culture.

To come through we are going to have to have a willingness to refresh our lives, to let go of the old and to embrace the new.  This is the decision that each voter faces in 2016. First and foremost we MUST get the Internet back under American control, and subject to constitutional protections.

Sadly the Industrial Order could well be replaced by something far worse than what we now have, the signs of decline are already out there. We see the diabolic ideas of Saul Allinsky manifesting in America; having been secretly introduced to usurp our traditions of freedom.

What we are doing is riding the digital wave on the cusp, and it is almost ready to tip over.  We can ride and command this new electronic wave, keep it free and use it to create a far better system – or we can let it crash and engulf us.

We can fail to take action, fail to elect the right new leaders and we can let the electronics that drives this new wave be used by the entrenched establishment to undo our working system of government in the USA and replace it with a global governance driven by ugly secrets and dark money.

How do we fight back?

It all begins and ends with a STRONG AND COLLECTIVE demand for TRANSPARENCY.

01 transparancyThis is not something not a one of us should get reasonable about.

The truth is that we dare not fail to bring in positive reform in 2016, for if we do how will our world look?

  • The elites will continue to enjoy more and more opulence. There will be scarcity by design – all in our best interests, of course.
  • In a new super-regulated society we will find a high ratio of cops (AKA Security Officers) to every working man. They are there to protect us, of course.
  • We will begin to pay a Local Tax, a City Tax, a State Tax, a National Tax, a Federal Tax and a World Tax. This new tax is going to be introduced gradually but it will grow and grow. There will be no representation, of course.
  • The idle rich and the idle poor, both parasitic on society, will continue to collaborate to steal the fruits of the labor of the producers. There will be no fair exchange with producers of course.
  • There will be the appearance of democracy but the election process will be manipulated. There will be no freedom of course
  • The elites will be there by divine right and it will behoove us to support them, of course.
  • The one percent rich will grow richer and the ninety nine percent will grow poorer of course.
  • The free internet will become a distant memory of a better age.
