The Future of Justice in the Trump Administration

We still live (for now) in a country where “consent of the governed” holds water

All the President’s stats are up, yet we have an illegal special counsel from the Deep State determined to find dirt on him. This is an effort by swamp dwellers to pull off a pernicious coup by swamp dwellers. For some time they have wanted to turn America into a third world banana republic.

JUSTICE SCALIA: The opinion I’m most proud of was Morrison v. Olson, in which I said “special counsels” are UNCONSTITUTIONAL

This deep state witch-hunt violates constitutional fundamentals, serving the interests of the elite rather than the interests of the people.

draintheswamp

The danger is if Trump fires Mueller (well within his rights) he opens the gate to accusations of obstruction of justice. Mueller can be terminated but would that not lead to a civil war? The Left understands “Might is Right” but have no clue about “Consent of the Governed”

Luckily there are more than one way to get justice in.  With an organization fix , success derives from balance (keeping reserve force on the side of the good). The Mueller investigation is heavily weighted in favor of the Deep State (controlled by global elites). It takes the justice balance way off kilter.

So try this:

Trump tells America the swamp is bubbling (they will all agree) and he tells them justice needs to be beefed up to take care of this (Those with moral compass will agree)

Trump tells America that while we want rule of law, we do want to deal fairly with the GOOD illegal immigrants (and so we should)

The important thing is that Trump (and America) needs a strong AG, not somebody with one hand tied behind his back because of a bogus recusal.  What is needed and wanted is a man of high integrity, somebody strong who can hold his position under attack.

Trump creates a new post “DAG for Immigration and gives it to Jeff Sessions. It is a perfect fit.

DAG Rosenstein is still unproven, after all it was he who prompted the firing of Comey, and created the unconstitutional bogus special counsel.

Trump leaves Rosenstein as DAG with a warning.

This opens up  the post of AG and we have a chance again.

The reorganization leaves Trump free to appoint a loyal, new AG someone strong enough to take on the evil of the Deep State. Four names come to mind. Reince Priebus;, Trey Gowdy. Tom Fitton, & Newt Gingrich

The new AG gets the new FBI director busy on the three investigations severely backlogged, an honest Clinton investigation. the Obama wiretapping and thirdly and of the most importance there should be a full investigation of the Obama/SOROS shadow government.

When Justice gets tough only then will we get peace in America.

The Ogre in the Closet (2017)

Will 45 be swallowed up by corporate cronyism as was 44?

Or will he DRAIN THE SWAMP and out-create the FISCAL DANGER?

 fix-the-debt

The real problem with ObamaCare is fiscal. The books are just not balancing.

The real problem with the Resistance is the money: Too many corrupt parasites losing government hand-outs they have grown used to, from Obama

The real problem underlying Justice is that during the Obama years, the corrupt corporations (crony capitalism) and their crooked lobbyists were able to get their greedy hooks into the Deep State, the Pentagon, and our justice system. They have been mis-using the force of government to keep an unfair privilege. Huge problem with government contractors (& lobbyists)

Trump (45) has signaled an end to this corruption. He is standing in their way and they have decided he must go.

Let’s become historians and take an objective view of the last eight years (fiscally)

Here is the real problem. Each time the debt ceiling goes up, so does the spending; non-military or essential spending can be broken down into crony-contracts and pork

spending

I am going to take the year 2013 as the microcosm that illustrates the macrocosm of what we are facing in Washington today.

Every September our “trusted” lawmakers follow the same cycle that has played out in each of many prior fiscal showdowns, with many prior Presidents, Congresses and Senates. This budget is traditionally crafted in secret and typically given to lawmakers to vote at the very last minute. Just before the vote the pork is shoveled in.

As the nice Government Men approach the edge of the fiscal cliff, they posture and bluster, spin their agendas and propagandize. Finally they settle on a deal that they can all live with, the bribes are paid and all agree they have crafted something good for Republicans and for Democrats alike. What is never said, but what is true, is that once again corporate America is making out like a banshee.

The final bill is invariably a very bad deal for the taxpayer.

We heard a lot during the Obama years about the fight over automatic budget cuts — otherwise known as sequestration — these apparently went in but it didn’t solve the problem of the overspending. On the other hand it was very much part of the spin, of how they hide an issue away in the dark closet where taxpayers do not go looking.

Of all the Presidents, sadly Obama has the worst spin and spending record.

obamas-debt

The amount of debt the nation is now carrying is astronomical and each time the ceiling is raised spending rises commensurately. The debt ceiling has been raised 11 times since 2001 and each time the federal spending went up.

Here is a fun-fact: Most Democratic politicians in the house and in the Senate opposed raising the debt ceiling during the administration of George W. Bush.  In fact in 2006 a freshman Senator called Obama said:

“Mr. President I rise today to talk about America‘s debt problem. The fact that we are here today to debate raising America‘s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government cannot pay its own bills. Increasing America‘s debt weakens us domestically and internationally . . . America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

Just after winning his second term in 2013 Obama had made a one hundred and eighty degree turnabout on the subject of money. He had learned to use the idle poor to reward his buddies, the idle rich (Buffet, Citigroup)

Lots of favors ere being called in after Obama’s 2012 election and he desperately needed to lift the debt ceiling to meet his obligations.   In 2013  he solved the fiscal cliff by shelving the legislation. This has become a classic ploy used by Democrats and Republicans to deflect attention from their fiscal irresponsibility.  Why-ever not hide contentious legislation way back in the big bad, black closet where all good taxpayers fear AND FAIL to look.

What a clever ploy. McConnell has become real good at it also, this is not a Democratic monopoly.  You can track the bribes to lawmakers at www.opensecrets.org.

Is this going to change under Trump? All the signals point in that direction. It seems that 45 is wide awake on all money issues. He wants to drain the swamp. This is why we voted for him.

To make him right let’s take a look at what was actually in that secret Fiscal Cliff legislation that got rammed through in 2013 under Obama when we weren’t looking?

Here are a few choice tidbits:

Out of Control

Don’t Panic – it’s all under Control

248 million for film production expenses (Hollywood gets a subsidy)

222 million for rum production in Puerto Rico

119 million for companies to hire Native Americans.

7 million for plug-in motorcycles

1 billion for tax credits for wind production.

Corporations and special interests received billions of dollars in tax relief and subsidies. (Big-agri got 5 billion to subsidize farmers in 2013) Do we want our government to pay big farmers to poison us?. Monsanto is still blocking fair labeling laws.

The 2013 bill allowed taxes to increase for 77% of Americans, thanks to the expiring payroll tax holiday.  Because Congress failed to extend the payroll tax cut, an individual who earns $26,000 per year was forced to pay over $500 per year in new taxes – that’s $20 taken straight from each paycheck. The bill effectively raised taxes on every American because it failed to account for any significant cuts in spending.  After all, every dollar of deficit spending is a future dollar that someone will have to pay in taxes down the road.

Kid on Pot with newspaper

Deferred constipation

This so-called “American Taxpayer Relief Act” was full of corporate welfare – targeted tax credits and subsidies for companies and industries. The bill actually spent $330 billion more than it took in with the tax hikes. So we the taxpayers of America are ripe for a tax-cut, and Trump has promised it to us. The problem, the crony corporate beneficiaries are having a conniption and fighting it.

Leader of the Senate is back to his old corrupt habits, BUYING VOTES.  With a corrupt Bronco in charge, lawmakers specially our corrupt lawmaker from Alaska bucks the system, knowing full well she can squeeze it for everything she can.  Is this legislating? How does this fit with the constitution?  Freedom dies in the Senate UNLESS WE FORCE IN TERM LIMITS.

There is an ogre hiding in the depths of the big, black closet and he makes fools out of Democrats and Republicans alike; He gobbles up the freedom of Congressmen, Senators and Presidents;  and with the help of a corrupt MSM this global ogre keeps us at each other’s throats.

So I am asking all people of good will, be they voters or legislators, Democratic or Republican to shine the light of fiscal accountability into that big, black closet:

Social Security and Medicare are very much at risk, as their coffers have already been raided to facilitate the corporate-crony spending.

Bernie Sanders has come out advocating lowering the eligibility age of Medicare to 55 years.  He does not talk about how he is going to pay for it? Sensible to raise the elig-age to 70, after all medicine has advanced since 1965 when we first got Medicare which has worked very well. However, we are living much longer these days if we exercise and eat right, and responsible Americans (like me) (75) and my husband (80) are out there still working and taking a pride in contributing to the social contract.

We have one of the oldest presidents in recorded history (70) and he outlasts and out performs the best of thee rest of us.

But Bernie wants to to dump two decades of welfare recipients into the equation. In America we want partners not parasites. So Maxine Water, Lefties and socialists like Bernie Sanders, quit whining and get to work before it is too late for America.

Looming danger

Looming danger

The problem in 2013 was that the fiscal bill was 154 pages long (not too bad as we have had many more complicated bills designed to obfuscate)

NOTE: our lawmakers were given only 6 minutes to read the bill before voting. This happens far too often.

The solution:
The single subject rule is provided for by many state constitutions in the United States of America. Its purpose is to avoid complexity in laws, to avoid any hidden consequences that legislators or voters may miss when reading the proposed law. This in turn prevents politicians from sneaking unpopular legislation through, piggybacked on legislation which is more likely to pass.

For example, the constitution of Minnesota, Article IV, Section 17, requires that “No law shall embrace more than one subject, who shall be expressed in its title.”

Sadly neither the U.S. Congress nor the U.S. Constitution has such a rule so riders which are completely unrelated to the main bill are commonplace. These have been often put into bills at the last minute, so that all who read the legislation before actually voting will not have a chance to catch the pork..

Now do you understand why it is taking so long to craft and pass a good healthcare bill. You take Big Pharma out of the ObamaCare equation and the bill will go through promptly.

Now do you understand the Resistance?

Now do you understand all the noise from Main Stream Media.

Now do you understand Russo-phobia. The Russian Nothing-Burger has been thrown into that dark closet, and it is now rotten and beginning to smell.

Understanding Illegal Immigration

Illegal Immigration: Blessing or Burden?

fenceI am going to share with you a conversation:

Carmen is a Special Education teacher and she is a Democrat; a third generation American Latino.  Noah, her husband is a business man.  He is and he and his family has always been staunch Republican. Did I say she’s a Democrat and he is Republican? Yes. This happens. Ex-first lady Laura Bush was once a registered Democrat before marrying George W. Bush. But I digress because I want to make the point that we can work together to find a solution to the thorny problem of illegal immigration.

Why Mexicans come to America

“Why do Mexicans come to America illegally, Carmen?”  Noah was looking up from an article he was reading, an eyebrow raised.

“To live better,” she said simply

“There are over eleven million illegal immigrants in America, they say that here, but how did this happen? That’s an aweful lot.  They also say here that getting across the border is fraught with extreme danger. Why would anybody take that chance? The writer talks about the hot desert, the drug cartels, and now the terrorists.”

“What are you reading?” she asked.

“A story about a Mexican family who came here a long time ago. Five set out from Oaxaca, but only only three survived. Horrible. The mother was raped and killed. The father still has no idea what happened to his teenage girl?”

She shrugged.

He narrowed his eyes and seeing this. she carefully put aside her sewing. “Most illegal immigrants came here over ten years ago, Noah, when the poverty in Mexico was beyond awful.  It not that bad anymore.” She didn’t like this subject because her favorite cousin, Ana, was illegal and Noah had not been told. “And so this Mexican writer?”

“He hasn’t remarried, has two children, got himself legal like you, and he brought his parents out to care for his twin boys.’

“That’s good.”

” I still don’t know why they all come here illegally?”

She said slowly,  “It is hard for someone like you to see just how bad it was in Mexico twelve years ago. You said Oaxaca, just horrible, terrible poverty in the South. Most of the early immigrants, they came from Oaxaca. There was no work there at all.”

“Still it would have been better to wait for a visa, no?”

mexican-homicides“You are joking right? No time waiting for a visa, if they wait they probably dead. Noah, you have no idea the violence, the crime and corruption. It is the gangs. ” Her voice trailed off.

Like Trump says, “Bad Hombres?”

She snorted. She had no time for Trump.

“It got better, the crime and the poverty, didn’t it?”

“Factories came to Guanajuato, Yes. That was the Vincente Fox.”

“Is it getting bad there again?.”

“Those from down South have for a long time learned to live each day by day.” She was again thinking of Ana.

“We live on the same big continent, Carmen, Mexico has rich people, and natural resources. Why all the crime? Why the corruption? Why the poverty? Why does Enrique Peña Nieto not fix it?”

She snorted again. She didn’t like Nieto.

“It’s not a perfect world, Noah,” she said finally and he could feel the depth of her apathy. “Some things they just are.”

Crime, Drugs & Terrorists

Another discussion, a different day.

“Trump is not willing to accept things. He is trying to stop bad hombres coming into America.”

“Good luck to him,” she shrugged her pretty shoulders. How many presidents had she seen try to build that wall and fail. “He is not going to build that stupid wall, Noah.”

“When Trump decides something, he does it.”

“No, no, this thing, it is impossible! The school principal was just talking to the teachers in my school today making a very good point, we mustn’t make rules we can’t enforce.”

“You mean school rules?”

“He was talking about school, but I am talking about immigration. Do you think it is going to be possible to send eleven million people back across the border? An awful lot of people Noah. Mexico can’t take them in, that’s why they left.”

“At least we have to send the criminals back?”

“Ana is no criminal, they own their house. Her husband fixes cars. He works hard.”

“Ana is illegal?” She had let it slip.

“Yes.”

“I didn’t know she was illegal?” said Noah. If she had told him he would have tried to help. This was the problem with immigration there were secrets, deep, dark family secrets. He continued lamely because he was thrown off, now this was close to home.  “Crossing the border without papers it’s a crime. Why has she not gotten legal?”

“I don’t know.”

“They bought a house; she could have gotten her papers, I suppose she voted in the last election?”

“No, she was too scared.”

“But others did?”

“Of course. Obama promised to make them all legal.”

She could see she had touched a nerve so she said quickly, “It’s not just the Mexicans, we are not the biggest  problem. Refugees are coming in from Somalia, from Syria, from Guatemala, from all over the world. It’s already hard to teach Latinos in English when it is not their mother-tongue, but you try teaching Arabs. I know. This is almost impossible. It is the words. You have to first teach them the words.”

“There are now refugees in your classes?”

“I am teaching three Arabs.”

“But you don’t speak their language.”

“I know.”

“What are they like?”

“”Very hard to teach. They have been taught to hate USA; they have been taught this in the home and also in the Mosques. One boy told me he hated us from the age of four.”

Noah was astounded but it made sense. She was trying to teach over that resistance and he was sure not much learning could happen.

She sighed deeply, “So you see Noah, we Latinos we are not the worst of it. We are not terrorists, not drug smugglers, not even rapists. Trump is not talking about us when he talks about the bad hombres.” Her voice had gone up another octave.

“Latinos need protected from these bad elements also, can you now see why a wall? ”

She sighed, tears still in her eyes. “Maybe.”

The way Noah saw it, the way most Republicans saw it, a president’s first job was to keep his people safe, but this time he wisely said nothing.

“So let him build his damn wall, but tell the people already here they can stay. We not the bad guys.”

dangers-immigrationIllegal Immigrants and Welfare

Yet another discussion on yet a different day.

“Noah, illegal immigrants are not taking away American jobs, no American wants the farm work.”

“True, but you have to look at the bigger picture. Illegal immigrants are soaking up our tax dollars, making it harder for us to help our own poor people, and our homeless Vets in trouble. Your sister Ana, is she getting welfare?” He regretted asking this as soon as the words were out of his mouth.

She looked down, “Yes they are on food stamps and get a housing subsidy.” Carmen continued quickly “Before 2008 and the banking crash, they were doing well. They even applied for the papers. Ana qualifies for DAPA because some of her children are born in the USA,”

“How many children?”

“Five, well with the new baby six.”

There it was. This was not the time to bring a child into the family with both Mother and Father about to get deported. Noah was sure that one of the reasons Mexico was poor was because of the larger families. Mexican GDP was almost equal to that of smaller countries like Australia or South Korea, but there was no comparison when you calculated it per capita.  The average Mexican citizen earned less than ten thousand a year. Noah sighed. One thing Mexicans and Republicans agreed on was the no abortions. Didn’t help Mexicans.

“You should have told me, we could have helped Ana.”

She just shrugged again.

“As a nation we can’t afford this,  America after Obama is now almost bankrupt. Illegal Immigration has become a burden. It is about the cost.”

“Come on Noah, a big wall, now what do you think that will cost and who do you think is going to pay for that?”

“I have been doing some research and found that money sent back to Mexico from legal and illegal Latinos is the second largest Mexican revenue after oil exports. Then there is also the foreign aid we give to Mexico. Mexico may not want to fund the wall but I think it is only fair that they do. “

“Maybe they just can’t”. She was pouting.

“Then they should say so. At least they should control their crime. . . ”

“A lot now coming from South of Mexico.”

He nodded for that was true.

She went on “I heard Trump now wants to send back not just the criminals, but also those like Ana on welfare? ”

“Back to your homeland. ”

“My homeland? I am American like you.”

They were spoiling for a fight;  this was shaping up to be a civil war.

Illegal Immigration and Rule of Law

Another conversation on another day.

Once again Noah was reading the paper. “Trump is holding nations accountable. Be reasonable Carmen. It is just not Mexico, The middle class of America has been funding not only those on welfare in America but much of the rest of the world. Trump is saying the same thing to India, to China, to Europe, to Canada and to the Middle East. This is not racial. He is saying each person, each nation must pay their way. It was different when we were rich. Now our debt is close to overwhelming us. ”

“I don’t care!” But she did and he knew it.

“Given Mexico a lot of help over the years and the least they can do is pay half of the wall. Mexican lawlessness is spilling over into America. You know why we moved from East LA. Some Americans like Trump are saying “Enough now!” “

“You are making my people wrong.” She knew he was sensitive on this point and she was using it. He always said most arguments occurred when one tried to make oneself right by making others wrong.

“Latinos have come into America illegally and that violates rule of law,” he said flatly.

“So you break up families and send them back into danger and poverty?

“Don’t you see that is why it is safer here- we don’t tolerate “mob rule” or “might is right. Our constitution polices corruption. Mexico has one of the richest men in the world, Carlos Slim, they can do more,” he said lamely.

“I don’t know why Mexico is so dangerous and so poor. I don’t know why East LA is the same way. It’s not their fault.” She was angry. She was so beautiful when she was angry.
.
This was the crux of the problem.  This was where they were different. It was Mexico’s problem and they wouldn’t solve it until they could see this. Ana’s problem was Ana’s problem and she would’t solve it until she could see it. Carmen was legal but had family not legal in America. He was willing to help her help her family because he felt for her and she was a good woman, his woman.  Despite their big differences they were encapsulated in a cocoon of love, pretty much like America with Mexico, he thought.  The love is always there just underneath. Surely they could reach a better solution. She saw the love in his eyes.

“You want to send them back into that awful hell-hole, ” she began crying.

He went to her. “No, I want to hire an immigration lawyer and make our whole family including Ana, legal. First though, I want to see Ana taking some responsibility for her own situation. Being illegal for twelve years is not OK.”

“I’ll go back myself to help them before I send them away.” but she didn’t mean it.

“They have to go back Carmen,” he said gently, “Then the good ones, they can come back legally. You don’t want them to start a new life in a country with a crime like that.”

“They were just looking for a better life.”  She was crying again.

“Coming here illegally sets a precedent. The first thing they do in America is to break the law andwhat does that lead to? It leads to East LA.”

“Some of the kids I teach they have been here seventeen or more years, they think of themselves as American; they are American. The bad one’s that is easy, out they go.” Of course if half of her class went to Mexico this would put her job in jeopardy.

“Trump didn’t create this problem. He is just trying to do his job, to keep his people safe, and to enforce the law.”

“It is all about the money,” her black eyes flashed. She was so beautiful when she was angry.

Their marriage was more than just a contract, rule of law. They had a good sex life. It was going to come right.

debt on stilts over a rough sea

Border Industries – the Solution

One month later in the evening over dinner.

She was an exceptional cook, he had come to love Mexican food. They had two good jobs, she with the government in special education.

Carmen was a good woman, she always sent money back to the home country, every month she sent money to her family in Mexico and he admired her for this caring. Democratic Latinos were strong on heart. Republicans understood the law and the economics of the situation.

Somewhere in the middle of this mess there had to be a solution where everybody wins.

She had been quiet during supper, thinking, and he knew something was coming. Now they were enjoying coffee, brewed strong. Finally she said, “OK It has to be done. It doesn’t have to be done immediately. It starts with the criminals and then those on the dole.” That’s what he loved about her, she could think things through

“Can we help Ana financially?”

She was looking directly at him and didn’t answer.  “Noah, you know the physical Ed Teacher, I think he may have the solution?”

“Dirk?” The South African?”  He is a legal immigrant isn’t he?”

“Yes cost him a bunch in legal fees but he became a citizen last week. That was how we got to be talking about this.”

“He has a solution?” He looked at her.

“Well it seems that way back in South Africa they solved a similar issue by creating separate zones of industry, they called them border industries. What we have to do, Dirk says, is to organize to put the illegals somewhere while we help them learn a trade and teach them about our heritage. Dirk thinks it can be done in a half-way station, a place that is and yet is not yet America, a kind of buffer zone between Mexico and AmericaWe are talking about the good Mexican illegals, those got a job, paid taxes, supported their family and staid off the dole after coming in illegally. These are the people we want to bring back to America.”

“They would have a chance if they were sincere in asking for help.”  She could have this, it was fair.

“How long could they stay in that border area?”

“Probably some years, Dirk says.  Learning a trade would be the key factor. They could also learn the language, and study the Constitution. He says English is not a better language but it is the language of the country and it costs a lot to go bilingual like they did in South Africa. Illegals should stay in the buffer zone until they can prove they will be good American citizens; that they have accepted our culture, can speak the language and have let go of Mexico.”

“Or else they go home?”

“Yes or else they go home.”

“Republicans are concerned that Latinos don’t assimilate; the parent’s of the children you are teaching, how many speak English?”

“Most don’t speak English.”

“So this is a problem in education?”  It was something she understood. Her expertise was in teaching Latinos how to speak English. “I sometimes think I need to teach the parents also but they are struggling to survive and don’t have time or incentive for adult education.”

“Do they have interest?”

“Just a few.” No, they don’t have strong interest,” she admitted.

“That would change in the buffer state or they would have to go back to Mexico.”

“Any welfare there, in these buffer zones?

“No only food and shelter and what they are able to earn.  Some would be starting small businesses to learn how to do this right.”

“But they could get a chance; a chance at the American dream?”

“And that is all we really owe them. When helping people you have to help them to help themselves.”

latino kids

There are many wonderful things in the Latino culture, the positive things like food and music and dancing that they would bring into the buffer zones, maybe even start a tourist industry? He was getting excited. He would go with her, dang he would go to the end of the earth for her.

He was content. His family was back on track. Now just to get the country sorted out so that Americans and Mexicans could all live happily together ever after

Conclusion

The issue of paying for the Trump Wall has been handled badly. If we are able to solve that, there is a bigger chance of finding peace.

Mexican President Pena Nieto has issued what amounts to be a declaration of war. He wants Mexico to use its consulates in every US state to help illegal immigrants get taxpayer-funded welfare. In essence he is taking NO RESPONSIBILITY. He has ordered ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to reject assimilation into America in every way  And in this way Mexico joins the Obama resistance.

NOTE: Obama created the problem in the first place with his commitment to open borders and his SOROS color revolution, his overly generous benefits, and his voter fraud.

This is a war Mexico cannot win, just in just the same way the silent coup is going to fail. Obama is on the wrong side of history, and he has no moral compass. What Nieto has ordered actually amounts to an invasion by a foreign country. It is a declaration of war.

Nieto is cutting off his nose to spite his face.   In the last 10 years the GDP per capita (i.e. per person) literally doubled, so in a way things were getting better. That was until the drug war broke out and the 2008 economic crisis made things more complicated. Then along came Trump.

After Trump wipes out ISIS Mexico may well be where the new President focuses. Having so much poverty South of the Border is very dangerous to America.

With Mexico so dependent on Latinos sending money home, and the recipient of generous foreign aid from America, Trump holds all the Trump cards. If he chooses to put the squeeze on Mexico, the country fizzles and dies.

On the other hand if Nieto learns to work with Trump there is much above and beyond money, where America can help their neighbor down South.

It seems the choice is Mexico’s. They may wake up when Obama is out of the way.

Understanding too Big to Fail; Glass Steagall & the Volcker Rule

Always, it is the forgotten man who suffers when Big Banks are Dishonest

To Regulate or not to Regulate; that is the question . . .

robtheworld

Small Business (organized right)  employs more than all the high tech companies, more than Walmart, Ali Baba, and Amazon added up together. Wipe out the small businesses, each with two or three or twenty employees with BAD LEGISLATION and (like Obama) you destroy the smaller jobs that keep the economy afloat.

So how do we rate the new Trump, Treasury Secretary?

The only thing on which he is firm is that there will be no bank bailouts. Well good.

The Vocker rule? he kind of likes it. Does he favor Glass Steagall; maybe and maybe not?  Is he in bed with the big bankers? Looks like that but not necessarily so. This dissembling may not be a bad thing at all, at all.  We should give the man a chance. Now is not the time to rock the financial boat.

NOTE: GLASS STEAGALL WAS A CAMPAIGN PROMISE.  It was even written into the GOP platform.

To clarify, the Volcker rule puts limits on the ability of banks to bet with money entrusted to them by depositors.

Glass Steagall on the other hand. cleans up the confused identity in banking. It forces banks to be either an Investment Bank or a Commercial Bank.

An Investment Bank buys and sells bonds, stocks and other investments. They assist new companies to go public with their initial offering. (IPOs) When we think of Investment Banks we also think of market or economic liquidity. Investment Banks fulfill their purpose (contribution to the social contract) better with fewer regulations. They need  governed by common sense rules that are simple and clearly defined. Now after fifly years of confused identity, it is a hornet’s nest. For example, the rules governing derivatives badly need clarified, and overhauled. Derivatives have formed a banking bubble and we now have more “too big to fail banks” than we had in 2008.

Commercial Banks on the other hand act as managers for deposit accounts. They serve both individuals and small businesses.  In the ideal the money they take in is lent out to individuals and small businesses and the economy grows.  Because they deal with the little man, or small businesses that are somewhat frail, they demand more oversight.

In September 2016 we had the Wells Fargo scandal. The employees secretly created millions of unauthorized bank and credit card accounts — without their customers knowing it, they were charging them phony fees and making off like a banshee. Wells Fargo employees secretly opened unauthorized accounts to hit sales targets in order to receive bonuses. Commercial banks need oversight.

NOTE: Like 2008 when no banking executives were prosecuted, the Wells Fargo CEO resigned and walked away free of blame. Hello?

TBTFThe seeds for the 2008 crash were sown on Bill Clinton’s watch; an inept president and his greedy banking cronies who took advantage. The economy was turned around after the 2008 crash. It took taxpayer bailouts of both American and Foreign Banks. Obama and Bernanke saved the system, but failed to fix the problem. It is the “Mom & Pop” small business that trusts these banks.  It is also the “Mom & Pop” small business culture that fueled what economic Obama recovery there was. If these little businesses get wiped out in a banking crash, or by over-regulation, it would be a bad, sad day for America.

With this in mind the new government may look at being proactive and enacting Glass Steagall. It is also a way to break up the big banks that is fair. It simplifies things.

Note well: It was the crash of 2008 that brought on the income inequality that now puts our culture at risk.

A little background on Glass Steagall:

In the roaring twenties there was so much easy money in risky-investments that several big Wall Street banks began salivating. They then decided to pull the deposit money out of trusted accounts and use this money to speculate. It wasn’t their money and it wasn’t ethical, so it all went appetite over tin cup; bankers jumped out of high windows and America went a slipping and a sliding into a great Depression.

The Glass Steagall Act of 1933 is a set of good reforms that ushered in a crisis-free period in USA financial history. We should learn from our past mistakes.

1933 the evidence of banking corruption was irrefutable: After the then ethics investigation, it was found that BANKING & BROKERING WAS A POISONOUS MARRIAGE. This little story illustrates the point.

“Young Bobby has just turned thirteen and in honor of his teenage status Dad has decided to give him a weekly allowance.  Bobby is a born entrepreneur and he and his neighbor friend, Goldy owned a lemonade stand (this was in the days before bureaucrats made this kind of endeavor illegal)

Goldy like Bobby, was also a producer and although young, she had a knack with food and drinks. Their little corner business was popular for the word had gotten around that stopping there was well worth the wait. So it came to be that Bobby had not only his allowance but also his profits. What to do with all the extra money?Bobby went to talk to Dad.

Dad called the boys together to educate them about income and outgo and savings – it seemed the right time. (Bobby had a big brother called George and Dad included him) Dad gave the boys a collective savings bank (his first mistake) and entrusted the bank to George’s care; after all he was the oldest and he was tall enough to reach to put the box on top of the closet. (Dad’s second mistake)

There was one small problem that neither Bobby nor Dad figured into the equation; George was into Pokeman Cards and his obsession had quickly got him outspending his own allowance.  George unlike Bobby and Goldy was not a producer, he was a gambler. Are you surprised that he began to steal from the box?

As time went along it got hotter; summer is the best of all times to sell lemonade. The little entrepreneurs decided they needed a canopy. Bobby asked to get the savings-box down and was devastated to find that it was empty. What were they to do? They really needed that canopy! It was hot.

George whined that he had always intended to pay the money back; he suggested that Dad step in and make it right and buy the canopy for Bobby, after all Dad didn’t want to see his little brother suffer, right? George’s strongest argument (which Dad bought), was that Bobby wouldn’t have been able to do the Pokeman investing by himself, so he was really trying to help him. I mean what did Bobby know about Pokeman?  He was always out there making lemonade and Goldy was now also baking. George knew a man who knew a man who said they were going to close the stand down because the kids didn’t have a licence.

Should George sell all the cards, he wasn’t sure how much he could get for them now?

Bobby didn’t want silly cards, he wanted a canopy, a canopy to give him and Goldy and his customers good shade in the summer for his lemonade stall; a local enterprise that the whole, local neighborhood agreed was a gem, was a neighborhood thriving business.

Unfortunately Dad backed George, buying into the theory that might is right.

Dad was also intimidated by the bureaucrat, clipboard in hand who had come to call.

Dad did promise to buy Bobby a canopy for Christmas, but it was too little, too late. It would be cold for a lemonade stand in December, no canopy would be needed.  And maybe, after all long before then, the city would close down the best lemonade stand in the neighborhood.

This is how two enthusiastic and enterprising entrepreneurs bit the dust.

Of course they could still work their lemonade stand without a canopy, that is until the nearby bakery persuaded the authorities that they were stealing his business.

“What?” said Bobby.

“Regulations are designed to protect established businesses that pay taxes,” said Dad.

“Duh?”

The lemonade stand continued for a brief while for it was still popular but it wasn’t the same. Then the city closed them down.

Neither Bobby, nor Goldy would ever recover from the betrayal after trust. It would stay with them and limit them as entrepreneurs for the rest of their lives.

**********

mom&PopPurists argue that we should let the big banks be forced into bankruptcy for that is how a free market system works. The American voter thinks this banking danger has gone away, but all that has happened is that it has been swept under a dirty carpet that is still big banking today.

It all comes back to a good law deliberately wiped out for banking greed and one inept President who lacked any kind of personal integrity.

 ***********

Bobby said to his Dad, “I think I will put my money in a real bank next time.”

Oh yeah?

Until the banks get their act together not such a good idea Bobby?

Understanding America’s Debt

Insatiable Spendifosity – with apologies to Rudyard Kipling.

Once upon a time, dearly beloved, there was a little planet scooting around on the very edge of the universe. No I wouldn’t be telling you this story if there wasn’t a most picarious situation there on that little planet.

The problem is sentially the boss-men can’t agree about the planet wallowing in debt, not just a little debt but a big, bad debt; a VERY big debt which would be quite alright if you and I were not (again) expected to pay.

elephant and donkey fightingWallowing?

Like swimming in the pool.

They can’t swim well?

No. On one side they give out the food stamps, and the aid to refugees & immigrants (all paid for by the banking FED). The other side fancies big bombs and whrrrrrring fast planes. You like that eh? Truth is this side that likes to fight are mostly OLD men, been getting a payoff under the table since before time began.

Will you & me, one day, be expected to pay?

Unless they get their act together. Fraid so!

How much do we owe?  A quarter, a dollar, ten dollars, a hundred dollars? The debt is now way over 120 trillion dollars.  To pay your share you would have to work for a whole year with no ice-creams, no burgers, and you wouldn’t be able to pay the rent or even go to school. No you are right, they really don’t know what they are doing! There is only one thing on which both sides agree: they all love to spend and spend and spend and spend.  Right now one boss-man wants to cut the entitlements while the other wants to get the money from the rich.

What is titlements? Well it is like this, if you loan money to the government or to a banker, then when they finally get to pay you back, then they call it titlements.

Makes a face.

Let me tell you a secret, dearly beloved.  They pretend not to agree, but I suspect it’s all for show.  You remember the time you and I were caught with our hands in the cookie jar and we had to concoct a good story together?

Are bankers the same as boss-men?

Kind of, sort of. It is the bankers have their fingers in the cookie jar!

Still looking down at the deb-pictures. They call this the fiscal cliff?

That’s what it is called.

Explain?

It is when you put too much money in the cookie jar, dearly beloved, and then you try to pick up the jar,  but it has gotten way, way too heavy.

So you drop it?

Yes.

And it breaks?

Yes. Into a thousand little pieces.

Giggling. And the money it runs everywhere?

You think that’s mighty funny? You like that?

Sure Then we not owe anything.

You are way too smart by far.

Sadly dearly beloved they still get us.

No fair. Stamps his foot.

I do understand your anger, dearly beloved.  One hundred and twenty trillion dollars is one hefty, big tag they are going to be asking you & me to pay. Now this month  they are increasing it to thirty trillion and what gets me is they want to PAY FOR REFUGEES FOR FIVE LONG YEARS.

Refugees?

People who ran away from the bad guys.

They the ones coming to steal from the cookie jar?

Yes dearly beloved, you got it.

They ask us to pay.

If the bank doesn’t fail. Then they replace the cookie jar.  They call it a bank bailout.

So we owe double?

Wherever did you get that smart?

Bankers are the bad guys?

They all bad guys. Spenders and bankers, and everybody who tries to steal from those who work. Sigh.

kids 4 trumpWhat about the big man?

Which Big Man?

The big man, silly, he the one with the funny, faces, he know about such things?

Yes I think he does.

He made the debt?

No. Not him. He’s far too clever. He manages money wisely.

And you say it’s my money they are spending?

Fraid so.

I think the big man going to fix it up. I think one day he get mighty mad and I think he big and strong enough to throw all the bad men over the Fiscal Cliff? #DTS

Laughs. You may be right.

I call  him?

I’ll teach you how to tweet.

Understanding Election 2016 (the year America woke up)

And when it was all over, Trump had won fair and square.

Those who question the results have forgotten that America is a constitutional republic. This is what makes us different from the rest of the world.  It is also what has made us great and prosperous in times gone by,  but for a long time our founding principles have been under assault.  New ideas were being introduced by progressive socialism in our schools and colleges.  2016 is the year when the people stood up and said “no more”. We choose freely to keep America free.

In 2016 the losers either had no moral compass or were out of touch with the electorate. It is these Americans (and at times their foreign handlers) who are now finding it hard to adjust to the new reality. They had all taken it for granted that Hillary would win the election.

There were a few of us who knew that Trump was going to be the next President; and how did we know this? We observed that when Trump decides something, that is the way it is going to be. This strength of mind will be good for us in the troubled times that still lie ahead. How was it that we called it right even before election 2016? We read Trump’s books and studied his record and saw his ability to recruit and organize and especially to build. We judged him on results. So we didn’t listen to the slander.  Sadly, it is going to take some time for all the lies and the slander which was especially vicious in 2016, to fade away. Some voters were taken in but  then the swamp had not yet been drained.

Useful Idiot
So this is where we find ourselves today with a lot of people unable to accept the results of Election 2016. Many are freaking because they stand to lose a “weighted” and unfair privilege. Just to name a few:

  • Bureaucrats – we have far too many bureaucrats creating and enforcing rules “that bypass the consent of the governed”. These public officials serve vested interests, rather than operating for the greater good.
  • Sanctuary Cities – Illegal immigrants and Refugees many of whom are  living off the public dole at a time when some of our American children are starving and our veterans are struggling.
  • In a Trump administration the Global Donors and International corporations who have been exploiting  America are due for a a wake-up call. (Soros is the worst of these with his “color revolution” voter fraud – vote counting machines – MoveOn agitators. Soros meddling in Election 2016 should be investigated by the FBI.
  • International Banking – in 2008 America was sold out by Obama and the Fed and the immediate danger of a melt-down was avoided, but there has been no effective ethics investigation or reorganization to make sure this kind of catastrophe will not happen again.  The big banks are up to their old tricks.
  • We all love our pretty planet but over the last eight years there has been an EPA that has turned “man into the endangered species”
  • There have been those in high office like Clinton (but also the Establishment on the other side of the aisle) betraying the public trust, by taking bribes (Clinton bribes were laundered through the Clinton Foundation which the FBI is now investigating)
  • The owned Main Stream Media specializing in slander and failing to tell Americans the truth.
  • ObamaCare: Could it be that ObamaCare was designed to fail, the global LEFT planning to have it replaced by socialized medicine? Big Pharma is surely unhappy this didn’t go through.
  • Barack Obama is unhappy, for he stands to lose his legacy.
  • There are Abortion clinics at risk, for a long time they have been relying on taxpayer funding.
  • Monsanto (GMO) hiding how they poison us. Clinton approved their secrecy. Then there are farmers getting subsidies long out of date.  Finally:
  • People on welfare are going to have to learn a trade and begin to support self, family and the nation. Do you wonder that there are a lot of unhappy people that Trump won this election?

Those who love Donald Trump see that . . .

  • He has observed that America is in trouble, and he has decided that he is the one to make America Great Again.
  • He has the unique ability to attract honorable and able men to his side. None can challenge the production records of Pence or Ben Carson or their spiritual integrity. That they love him speaks very well for Donald Trump.
  • Trump evaluates the situation in front of him, he observes, and then he decides before he acts. He is able TO SEE. He can see that Russia is in better financial shape than the USA, fast approaching unsustainable debt. So he doesn’t necessarily favor Russia, but he also doesn’t knock Putin like John McCain. Trump goes by the numbers, and so should we for the numbers never lie. His campaign was run on numbers and that is maybe why he won.  By seeing the good and the bad in Russia and in Putin he may already have saved us from WW3. Obama’s CIA was baiting Putin.  Looking for points of agreement and resurrecting a the strong alliance before Russia went communist is a clever way to go. Nothing about modern Russia is communist today.
  • The “covert communists” otherwise known as International Socialism are very unhappy with Trump’s election. Now here we find the real (and covert) enemy. They like radical Islam are hard-bent on trying to change us. America should know that socialism (historically) has always been a disaster.
  • Radical Islam, with its diabolic intent to convert America to Sharia Law are very unhappy with the Trump election. With lots of money pouring in from Saudi Arabia to infiltrate our colleges and institutions, they had gained a strong foothold under Obama.
  • Trump promises jobs, knowing that putting us ALL back to work will raise our morale
  • He is sensible: “identify your goals, know precisely what you want to achieve, then find and surround yourself with the best people” Good advice.
  • Most of all Trump is transparent, and tells it like it is. This is very likable.01 transparancy

Not all who oppose Trump are corrupt, some are wary because . . .

As a friend put it, “Trump is saying all the right things, I just wish somebody else was saying it.”His style is somewhat new and he is not in any way politically correct.;says he does not have time for  “political correctness”  and that the country is in condition where no time for political correctness. He doesn’t mince his words when he sees a bad situation. So, will he introduce change on an acceptable gradient, giving us time to catch up? We ask this especially with regards to immigration, a situation he did not create, but one where he seeks to bring Immigration back under the law.

Conclusion.

The choice in 2016 was clear and simple:

After erosion of our identity and culture over a half a century or more, America chose a return to the principles of the Constitutional Republic (that which gives us liberty)

The alternate choice, “Might is Right” embraced by Progressives, and the global elite and the kings of old, was thrown out. America rejected these ideas and newly chose the former.  We were lucky. Not all countries are given this choice.

election-2016We should be grateful to Donald Trump. We could have lost America in 2016. We could have been forced by SOROS & the Clintons and the International Technocracy and Financial Oligarchies into a North American Union to become just another lawless, exploited Banana Republic. We could so easily have lost our culture and our sovereignty.

So where do we go from here? We ALL come together as Americans, grateful that once again America accepted the challenge.

In times of great change (as now) we need a President who is in no way a puppet as has been Hillary & Obama. America needs an outsider who can think on his feet. I do believe such a man is Donald Trump. We all need to give our new president- elect some time and space. We need to have faith in the American system.

In 2016 the people have spoken.

I have a dream, and this is that Trump will pattern himself after George Washington with the aggression and strength to fight for what is right; but the restraint to earn him a true legacy.

Understanding the Unrest in America

(Updated- 4th July)

draintheswampA few of us knew that Trump was going to be the next President; and how did we know this? We read his books and studied his record and realized that when Trump decides something, that is the way it is going to be. America rejected Global, Sharia Law and American Marxism when we elected Trump. America also rejected the progressive mantra that “might is right” in favor of “rule of law” and “balance of power”. We assumed the responsibility to learn our heritage. Not all have taken the time.

The opposition is now out of the closet. Some of the ugly opposition is innocuous, uninformed with mere ideological differences. This is fine, our system allows for differences.  Unfortunately, there are still many on the LEFT like Mika and Joe Scarborough (MSM) who cannot believe that the majority in America actually want to keep our Constitution, our Civilized Culture and our Religious Liberty; sorry folks the popular vote false narrative is propaganda: doesn’t hold water when you look at the real numbers of voter fraud Judicial Watch is bringing to light.  Furthermore when you add in the numbers from third party candidates, it is abundantly clear that in November 2016, America was leaning right. Trump won the electoral college with a landslide, but most likely he also won the (legal) popular vote.

Clear evidence that “the Resistance” is being orchestrated by Obama and funded by SOROS – sick. This is not just an attack on Trump but also clearly a direct attack on our American form of government, our culture and our heritage. This swamp WILL be drained.

shadow-gvt

Wanted or not by the shady & the corrupt, Donald Trump is our President and he is going to serve out eight years, as the 45th President of America.

So why all the noisy upset?

One: Swamp-dwellers
There were/are a lot of people who now stand to lose an unfair advantage and unfair privilege.

  • Sanctuary Cities
  • Federal Money given to EPA used for political advantage or protecting the silly “smelt in California” while central California tasked with feeding the nation, turns into a dust bowl. Gallons of water dumped into the sea during a drought.
  • Illegal immigrants and Refugees living off the public dole when some of our children are starving and our veterans are being neglected
  • Those gaming the legislative process
  • Teachers protected by seniority and not judged on their performance.
  • Government workers insisting on high wages and demanding high benefits, but failing the public they serve.
  • Those in high office like Clinton betraying her public trust, taking bribes (bribes laundered through the Clinton Foundation)
  • Those in high office like Clinton choosing to set up her records on a public server (SO THAT HER EMAILS COULD NEVER BE SOUGHT BY JUDICIAL WATCH ON A FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST)
  • Lots of little bureaucrats raking it in on the side.
  • Main Stream Media owned by Global Interests and engaged in bias and slander, actively STIRRING THE POT.  Advertisers support MSM because they have been persuaded they control our thinking. Trump, the GOP and the The election in Georgia showed Hollywood and MSM just how irrelevant they have become.
  • There is a sick culture of moral decay and decline in Hollywood. They are also fighting the digital revolution.  We can write a song, write a book and self-publish. Hollywood relies on a rigged system government to enforce “intellectual rights”
  • Big Pharma making a killing from Government patents and regulations that protect their unfair monopoly – why can’t we buy our drugs in Canada or Mexico? Why can’t HMOs compete across state lines? Why all this government protection?
  • Farmers getting subsidies long out of date. Monsanto (GMO) permitted to hide what they are doing to poison our food.
  • Investors like George SOROS using arcane investing rules to  profit from an economic decline. (Then they use their new found wealth and power to attack our leader and our constitution)
  • People on welfare now having to learn a trade and begin to support self and family and the nation.
  • Abortion clinics relying on public funding. I am in favor of women’s choice but there is something wrong with a taxpayer being forced to fund abortions.
  • “Bad Hombres” pushing drugs into America.  The states where most drugs go are where we find the loudest protests (sad) .
    mexican-drug-infilitration
  • We begin to understand the opposition to Trump better when we realize just how much money the elites in the media and in Hollywood  stand to lose when Trump exposes their corruption, and their part in it.
  • We begin to understand the opposition to Trump much, much better when we realize just how much money the crooked elites (Obama bribes) in Government are losing under Trump. (see opensecrets.org)
  • And finally there are the neocons trying to stir up a war with Russia.  Clear evidence that Trump is being demonized, but Putin even more so.  McCain and Lindsay Graham (both generously funded by Soros) were recently in the Ukraine and what were they doing there? Good Americans don’t pursue imperial goals, and we don’t meddle in the affairs of other countries for such is unconstitutional.
  • Then there is the United Nations. with envious third world nations with their greedy hands outstretched and we can help them, but not by giving them a hand-out. There is no reason that America is rich and Africa is poor, except for our form of government, and our creative innovation. Obama had perfected the art of using the idle poor to give to the idle rich.  Luckily Trump sees through this, and has ended this stealing from the taxpayers of America.

So many crooked, unhappy people in the world. No wonder they are terrified of Trump, Trump who is able to expose their nasty secrets with a single tweet!

Two: American Marxism
The unrest (by observation) is not spontaneous. We will never win in America if we allow other interests to subvert & divide us.

Definition of black propaganda – with lies and innuendo seeking to falsify perception, or to create a false reality to justify a criminal act.

We know that this uprising is orchestrated because the demonstrators follow the same style book in every city, not just in America, proving a global strategy.

pullharderThe organized protesters shout obscenities, start fires, destroy property., these are tactics employed in times past by Stalin and Lenin.  Sadly, Marxists have been subverting our educational institutions and our youth during the terms of the last four presidents, all who favored the NWO.  It takes but a generation to steal a nation. This cries out for a full Congressional Investigation.

This Marxist influence has been blamed on Russia but that is contrary to the fact that Putin is now anti- communism and seems to genuinely believe that Communism doesn’t work. Putin/Russia has nothing to gain by subverting America. On the other hand the oligarchies of the NWO who want to rule the world, have seen an opportunity in socialism.  (Saul Allinsky)

It is an axiom of political warfare that it is not wise to assassinate popular opponents except as a last resort. Better to invalidate them in the public mind. A part of this war tactic is to pick a popular target and demonize him, blaming him for the violence.  Is this not what we are seeing with Trump? They picked the wrong man, I don’t think Trump is going to crumble.

“If you want to understand what is going on in America today, just think of the Branch Davidians. If the elites can sufficiently demonize Donald Trump and his supporters as racists or something equally repugnant, then violence against him personally or against his supporters – perhaps even violence against the system itself – will be viewed as justified.”  Need to Know News

Three: The Muslim Brotherhood
Our democratic process was designed to resolve BIG ideological differences. It has kept us away from civil war. It would have done so again were we not subverted and divided by evil within.  There is growing circumstantial evidence of infiltration of the SOROS/Obama/Hillary and the Progressive movement by the Muslim Brotherhood – an orchestrated world movement to change our culture and bring the western world to its knees, under Sharia Law.  This also cries out for Congressional investigation.

In part it is payback time for the wars in the middle East brought on by the neocons WHO ARE NOT AMERICA. We are complicit only in that we allowed it to happen.

Note: America is now at #4 on this chart while England at #7.

Note: America is now at #4 on this chart while England is at #7.

That they love him speaks well for Donald Trump.
  • He wants to see us safe. He wants to bring back order to America.
  • He is transparent, and tells it like it is. This is likable.
  • He understands finance; and this is something we badly need, it has become beyond vital to fix the failing economy before the next economic bubble pops (derivatives)
  • His plan to lower taxes on the rich is coming under attack, yet what he proposes is fair and a gradient approach to handle income inequality
  • What his enemies don’t realize is that he only hits back when attacked, yet when he retaliates the counter-attack is brilliant and brutal. This president fights fire with fire.,

We all know that electing  an outsider to be President is a big step. One thing to consider though, “Constitutional  Republicanism” is so far superior to “Progressive Democracy” with its support of  “coercive government” that there is really no choice. The Left fears that Trump would be a HItler, this is the pot calling the shiny kettle black. Hitler will never come to America while we keep our constitution.

Let me clarify; In a Republic, government rules only with consent of the governed. In a global or progressive administration “Might is Right” and autocratic rule, big brother, and bullying are all fully acceptable.

This “Might is Right” is the corrupt thinking the founders left behind when America first became a nation. And that folks is what was at stake in 2016.

We could have lost America.

Understanding Justice (updated June)

The time has come to fix America’s Justice

draintheswampTrump trusted Comey and that trust was betrayed. When the Treason became clear to all but  swamp dwellers, Comey.got fired.  The shame is on Comey not on Trump.

The rumor is that Eric Holder now wants to run for President in 2020. LOL. Maybe he would reappoint Comey?  Before we go that route, let’s take a good, hard look at the Justice Legacy left to us by the previous administration; James Comey, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Hillary & Bill Clinton and Barack Obama

To  Make America Great Again, it seems that all Trump has to do, is to fix American justice.

The Left’s Justice Legacy

What they gave us was an AG threatening to prosecute American citizens for doubting climate-change an extreme abuse of judicial power.  It is irrelevant whether climate change is real or not, the disagreement is protected under the first amendment of the constitution.

Then there is the office of the AG prosecuting a baker because on religious grounds the baker chooses not to do business with LGBT.  This violates religious freedom and is also unconstitutional.  (Good progress in the last eight years in letting gays marry – but this is an entirely different issue)

What we had is an AG threatening to prosecute ‘right wing extremists’; LOL defined as someone owning a gun, who target practices. This is unconstitutional.

For the last year we have had the weirdest FBI investigation into collusion between Trump & Russia. So far nothing has surfaced; an enormous amount of smoke but no fire. Should Justice be dominated by fabrication and phobia at enormous cost to the American taxpayer? In Comey’s senate hearing the fabrication and phobia became clear for everybody to see.  With the appointment of Mueller to now “investigate”  obstruction of justice, the demonization of Trump and Putin continues.

2008-2016 we had a President autocratically imposing his view of life, his idea of what is right and wrong on the American Citizen supported by a mandate from a past election that was questionable at best. (With these new autocratic dictatorial powers that he assumed, had HIllary won, how long before we are “forced” to agree that any President has the right to tell us how we have to think, and feel and act; that is not too far from bringing the inquisition and thought police to the U.S.A. An Executive has no right to establish our moral code, or what is considered RIGHT and WRONG, UNDER LAW. This is why we have elected representatives so that our values filter up through a democratic process to become the law of the land.

Under Obama what we have had is an Intelligence Department created by a President, reporting directly to the President. This is a collapse of Justice and the Executive.

Under Obama in the Deep State we have had created special courts, in no way open to congressional oversight. This is unconstitutional.

We have had Trade deals proposed that set up International justice tribunals that can override the Supreme Court. This takes away our sovereignty.

obama shredsus

What we have also had is loyalist Power Czars hired and fired by the President; none of whom were ratified by the Senate. This is a collapse of Executive and Legislature.

What we have under Obama is a president bombing a sovereign nation without congressional authorization.  This is a collapse of the Executive and the Legislature.

Another good question: Does Obama’s “deep state” serve or benefit from International Socialism and Radical Islam, this we suspect but we do not know.  What we do know is that we have witnessed these movements growing exponentially over the last eight years. We do not know the facts because the FBI has not been doing its job.

In the Obama administration we had a Secretary of State getting paid by foreign governments. This payola is specifically banned by the Constitution of the U.S.A. Then as the democratic candidate she also lied to the FBI and was allowed to get away with it – no justice there

Then there is the subject of voter integrity; a function of justice. Several court rulings have abolished Voter ID as a qualification to voting. So we have had more than 3 million illegal immigrants voting in this last election.  Of even deeper concern is the integrity of the voting machines. Evidence has been surfacing that many of these vote-counting machines are untrustworthy, many owned by democratic donor George SOROS. Is it not the task of JUSTICE to verify these machines, for they were not set up right. Can Trump Justice get this all fixed so that the voter can once again trust his system? The good news is Judicial Watch is investigating and suing states that do not clean up their act.

Executive Clout Sadly for the last eight years we have had a very charming, charismatic president, but one who seemed to think he was an elected king, was there not a big confusion there? He was fine with the power to wage secret war, and to spy on anyone and everyone, without any congressional oversight or public explanation.Backed by his corrupt mentor, George Soros Obama did harm to America, and continues so to do. Obama has staid in Washington to mastermind the resistance.

So I put this to you, does this descend into “might is right” not make our elections a mere (mighty expensive) circus? America was founded to get away from a corrupt king, are we going backwards

How much taxpayer money is Mueller spending on a newly fabricated investigation.  The witch hunt (Trump & Putin) continues. We see this as a witch hunt in the lack of specifics in the  million accusations that are all top-filled with generalities all coming from swamp dwellers. The MSM narratives also attributed to unnamed sources furthers justice that has decended into fabrication. MSMs effort to repeat the lie often enough to create a truth FOR LOW INFORMATION VOTERS who only get data from television. It is coming from the Left, from MSM and also from the Deep State and is a very sophisticated misuse of propaganda.

America is rejecting the false narratives.

And talking of going backwards, in an age where transparency is entirely possible, it broaches this scary question: what if  economic policy and foreign policy is determined rather by “the Deep State” than by a Democratic or our Republican Congress, President or Judiciary? Has the Deep State usurped the power, taken over the executive clout and have they been bypassing the consent of the governed, making elections irrelevant?

Such is the Justice Legacy left to us by the past administration.

Now (June 17) Obama is again hiding key information on his justice appointees in his presidential library, a library that doesn’t even exist yet.  Judicial Watch is being blocked from getting the data on the Rice unmasking of Trump.

Americans pay lip service to the idea of a separation of powers between the Executive, Justice and the Legislature, but I don’t think many understand it.

We do now know that Obama & the Deep State were waging illegal wars in our name. What we don’t know but suspect is that they were also trying to take down America.

An unjust society is in no way a safe society. An unjust society is in no way an orderly society and an unjust society is never a prosperous society. To make America Great Again we have to restore constitutional justice.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The gradient step in this direction would be to once again EDUCATE the children and to EDUCATE the people on these principles so we all come to understand how it was that America once upon a time, long ago, became truly good and truly great!

We are not just any nation, we are not just any people, we are Americans.

To eliminate strife clean up justice.

Understanding the History of Banking

by Griping Grandpa

Banking is a very old profession; almost as old as prostitution.

Mr. X

Mr. X

In this story, we will refer to a Mr. X, who represents not a single person, but a type of person who seeks to amass vast fortunes and power regardless of who gets hurt in the process. We will trace the history from 1790 to the death of Kennedy in 1963 and see what we can glean.

Watch this short video.

You may have wondered how Mr. X got that rich? You may also have guessed though, that it may just have had something to do with banking. So let’s look there first.

We will not at this time concern ourselves with the bankers of ancient Babylon, nor with the money changers of the New Testament, nor with the Medicis in Italy; instead we will begin our journey in relatively modern times, when a certain Mr. X famously stated, “Let me issue and control a nation’s money and I care not who writes the laws.” Mr. X, a banker, had befriended the local Prince by first selling him rare coins at bargain prices and later lending him money at interest.

Mr. X had five sons who followed their father into the banking business and settled in different European countries. Thus began the nefarious practice of getting rich by bankrolling wars. Their mother once proclaimed, “If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.”

This was when the British Empire ruled the world and conquered the seas. One son became the most influential banker in the developed world, located in England.

Banks and Wars

Meanwhile, across the seas the American colonies were flourishing – they had created their own currencies and did not have to pay interest to bankers. Britain had just come out of the costly French and Indian War, also called the Seven-Year War, and was already struggling to pay its debts to Mr X at the Bank of England. Mr X felt endangered by how the American settlers were doing so well with their own money, their high work ethic, and their productivity and he was not making a dime off of it.

What to do about it? To please Mr X the King outlawed American money, forcing the colonists to use British money, borrowed at interest. Not many history books record this as the true cause of America’s War of Independence.

“The refusal of King George 3rd to allow the colonies to operate an honest money system, which freed the ordinary man from the clutches of the money manipulators, was probably the prime cause of the revolution.” — Benjamin Franklin

After gaining their independence, the Americans were happy with their no-interest money and did not want a central bank that would charge them interest. Sadly the covert pressure from Mr. X was still strong and in 1791, the First Bank of the United States was founded with a 20-year charter. Mr. X got richer while the people suffered.

The 19th Century

When the 20 years were up, Congress refused to renew the bank’s charter. Britain’s Mr. X was furious and threatened a war. The British Prime Minister did not want a war with America. He had his hands full fighting Napoleon. The prime minister was assassinated and his successor authorized the War of 1812.

Napoleon, also defied the French Mr. X by printing his own money and thus avoided having to pay Mr. X interest. That did not sit well with France’s Mr. X. Wellington’s forces eventually defeated the French at Waterloo in 1815 and Britain’s Mr. X scored big – his courier informed him of Britain’s victory a day before the news reached the public and by pretending that the British forces had lost the war, the stock market crashed and Mr. X quietly bought up vast numbers of shares at rock bottom prices, to resell them after the market recovered when the victory became public knowledge. Mr. X became very rich and influential in Britain.

After winning the War of 1812, America made the mistake of founding the Second Bank of the United States, this time making the American Mr. X richer and the nation poorer.

In 1832 Andrew Jackson campaigned for president with the slogan, “Jackson And No Bank!” He became President and, as promised, the bank’s charter was not renewed. An assassination attempt followed, but luckily both of the assassin’s pistols failed to fire.

A later President, Zachary Taylor declared, “The idea of a national bank is dead, and will not be revived in my time.” In 1850, he died of arsenic poisoning after eating a bowl of cherries and milk.

In 1857, President James Buchanan took measures to prevent banks from issuing more loans than they had in reserves. He too was poisoned, but survived, though 38 other people who attended the dinner died.

Money

Money

In 1861, the Civil War started .and President Lincoln issued government money, called the Greenback. Mr. X did not like this. He wanted to send military aid from Europe to aid the Confederates and thus defeat Lincoln’s Union army. However, the Russian Tsar derailed this plan. Russia, like America at that time, did not have a bank owned by Mr. X. After the war, Lincoln was re-elected and wanted to continue using the interest-free Greenbacks. In Russia, 1881, the Tsar and his family were also murdered

In 1881, President James Garfield was shot and subsequently died some weeks after stating, “Whoever controls the volume of money in our country is absolute master of all industry and commerce, and when you realize that the entire system is very easily controlled, one way or another, by a few powerful men at the top, you will not have to be told how periods of inflation and depression originate.”

In 1901, President William McKinley, who wanted all paper money to be backed by gold and a balanced government budget, was shot and died a few days later.

The 20th Century

Which brings us up to 1913 when everything changed.

The year 1913 was when the way we have and handle money was changed forever. In our history this was the third privately owned central bank of the United States, renamed as the Federal Reserve System to make it sound more acceptable, even though it was neither federal, nor did it have any reserves. Federal Income tax arrived in that same year.

President Woodrow Wilson signed off on these changes, but he later recanted, saying, “I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is .now controlled by its system of credit. We are no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”

Prior to 1913 was one of the most prosperous economic times in the history of the USA – the time when there was no Federal Reserve and no Income tax.

One year later, World War I began and lasted until 1918. This was a war between all the major European players each one funded by their own bank under its control of a Mr. X. All the Mr. Xes profited handsomely from this war. The United States joined the fray in 1917, despite President Wilson’s promise to keep America out of the war. America’s Mr. X profited at the expense of millions of lives. This war consolidated the banking power, creating economies driven by debt, rather than by productivity and solvency.

The American Federal Reserve was here to stay, it had emerged as as a major player on the world stage becoming a full-fledged central bank.

After the allied victory, Germany was ordered to pay the war costs of all the participating nations, even though Germany had not even started the war. Those costs were astronomical. Germany’s privately owned central bank broke free of government control, resulting in runaway inflation where people burned the worthless bank notes as fuel to heat their homes. Germany’s Mr. X profited handsomely while the German people starved.

The year 1929 marks the start of Great Depression in the United States, believed to have been triggered by Mr. X contracting the money supply. Part of the fault also lies with public over-confidence and foolish speculation in the Stock Market. Mr. X scored.

Fat Cat

Fat Cat

In Germany, when the Weimar Republic came to an end, Hitler’s rise to power was spectacular. He issued new state money (no interest) and the country recovered. In Germany, when the Weimar Republic came to an end, Hitler’s rise to power was spectacular. He issued new state money (no interest) and the country soon prospered. Unfortunately, he also wanted to conquer other countries and World War II (1939 – 1945) resulted. The various Mr. Xes prospered while millions of people perished.

The war started when German troops invaded Poland, but in fact Britain, worried about Germany’s economic success welcomed the war; at least Winston Churchill did. In a 1936 radio broadcast he said, “We will force this war upon Hitler, if he wants it or not.” And after the war, he told President Truman, “The war wasn’t only about abolishing fascism, but to conquer sales markets. We could have, if we had intended so, prevented this war from breaking out without doing one shot, but we didn’t want to.”

In 1963, President John Kennedy restored the issuance of money to the government and 6.5 billion dollars worth of interest-free silver-backed United States Notes were issued. He was assassinated that same year. The executive order was canceled and United States Notes were destroyed.

Conclusion

If you were ever wondering why governments do not issue their own money instead of borrowing it at interest from a privately owned central bank, the answer is simple. Coercion. If a country happens to be prosperous, measures are taken to make it less so and for it to incur large debts it will not be able to repay. If that country refuses to go into debt, that country is soon involved in a costly war, or its leader is assassinated.

It is no accident that the world is so chaotic, with constant wars and rumors of wars. It is the old principle of “divide and conquer” at work. Mr. X profits from chaos and disunity.

All of this seems pretty hopeless, doesn’t it? But, no matter how bad a situation is, something can always be done about it. One thing we can do is to be skeptical about what the media tells us and to do our own diligent research to find out what is happening behind the scenes. We can strive to reduce our debts and urge our leaders in government to do the same. We can lessen our dependence on financial institutions. We can practice tolerance toward others, rather than hatred, and to oppose any new wars, because wars do not serve the people. We can spread the word to friends and family and whoever else will listen. The more people know and recognize Mr. X’s nefarious schemes, the more likely it is that the situation will resolve.

How To Prevent Voter Fraud

HOW TO PREVENT VOTER FRAUD

(From a Programmer’s Perspective)

by “Griping Grandpa”

There is little doubt that computers can tally votes faster and more efficiently than doing so the old-fashioned way. However, computers also have a dangerous liability. They can be doctored more easily to falsify the results and only the programmers who have access to the software will be able to tell.

vote

Here are some suggestions on how to guard against such fraud.

When a voter casts a vote, two receipts should be printed – one is deposited into a sealed bin for manual audit purposes and the other one is for the voter. Both receipts carry the same serial number and show which candidate was voted for.

While each serial number is unique, the numbers are issued in a scrambled order, rather than sequentially. This is to preserve voter privacy – for example, if Bill is right behind Joe in the voting line, Bill won’t be able to figure out Joe’s serial number and who he voted for.

After the voting station closes, a list is published online, which bears the name of the voting station and shows all the serial numbers issued in numerical order with the candidate voted for. That way anyone who voted can look up their serial number and verify that their vote was correctly recorded. The list should be issued as a spreadsheet and presented in a way that makes it easy to tally the total number of votes cast for each candidate. The list should also contain a hotline phone number and email address to report any perceived irregularities.

Each voting station issues such a list, each with its own unique identification code. A list representing all voting stations and showing each station’s results when available is also published online for anyone with Internet access to inspect. All of these lists are downloadable, but stored on secure sites to prevent interference from hackers.

For security reasons, the computer at the voting station is isolated from the Internet until after the station closes, at which time it connects briefly to upload the list to a secure server and, after verifying that the server has the correct data, automatically shuts down. The computer equipment and the sealed bin with the voting tickets are then immediately taken to a pre-arranged official secure receiving location.

The voting computers are manufactured by reputable companies, to exact hardware and software specifications (published online for anyone to inspect) and certified by reputable auditing companies to meet the specs and work perfectly. They are then sealed, with the seal to be broken only when the station opens. In the voting station, the only way to access the computer is via the buttons for selecting the candidates. The person in charge at the voting station unseals the unit and follows a check list to ensure everything works properly and then signs off on it.

The above should help ensure that all votes are accounted for and correct, thus taking care of that technical issue. However, there is another issue, which is to ensure that each voter is qualified to vote (US citizen, of voting age, registered, not a felon, etc.) and votes only once. That is a human issue and subject to political vagaries. It is difficult to make the system tamper-proof without possibly preventing some minorities from casting a vote to which they are entitled.

The following scenario is workable. Each person qualified to vote receives a personal printed invitation to vote. The person takes this invitation and a photo ID to a voting station and presents this to a voting official who stamps the invitation after verifying the person, the photo ID and the name on the ticket all match. The stamp voids the ticket, so it can’t be re-used to vote a second time.

The invitation ticket can be obtained at a Post Office, a Police Station, a Court House, or the like. When applying for the invitation, the person needs to present a photo ID and provide their social security number. This information is uploaded to a central database, which establishes that the person qualifies and has not already received an invitation. The invitation is printed and the person signs for it. This will require a box, similar to a credit card processor, with a keypad and a printer and an Internet connection. For extra security a scanner can be included to scan the photo ID. If the person does not qualify to vote, a message to that effect is printed, with the reason why.

everyvotecounts

As you can see, this is quite an elaborate system. It will be pretty costly. But think of this: If we are to take voting seriously, then it is only right to take voting fraud prevention seriously as well.

Much Ado about Donald Trump (updated after the election)

A few of us knew that Trump was going to be the next President; and how did we know this? We read his books and studied his record and realized that when Trump decides something, that is the way it is going to be. This strength of mind and self-confidence (and his knowledge of how finance works) should stand us in good stead in the troubled times that still lie ahead.

Donald TrumpGiven that he won the election fair and square why is there still opposition?

It is going to take time for the lies and slander to fade away.  The swamp has not yet been drained. It will take at least four years  maybe eight and maybe even thirty which is what I predict the GOP has ahead. I predict this because of the greater efficiency of their political organization.

So given the Democrats in disarray, what is this wild noise we are still hearing?
There are a lot of people were supporting corrupt HIllary, freaking, because they stand to lose an unfair privilege.

Just to name a few:

  • Sanctuary Cities
  • Illegal immigrants and Refugees living off the public dole when some of our children are starving and our veterans are struggling.
  • Those planning and rigging the vote counting machines to falsify election results. (So sick) I have suspicions about Harry Reid.
  • Those gaming the legislative process (Harry Reid, Mich McConnell, Bill Clinton)
  • Teachers protected by seniority and not judged on their performance.
  • Government workers insisting on high wages and demanding high benefits but failing the public they serve.
  • Those in high office like Clinton betraying her public trust, taking bribes (bribes laundered through the Clinton Foundation)
  • Those in high office like Clinton choosing to set up her records on a public server (SO THAT HER EMAILS COULD NEVER BE SOUGHT BY JUDICIAL WATCH ON A FREEDOM OF iNFORMATION REQUEST) Thanks to Wikileaks we found out what she and those in high office in the Democrats wanted to hide.
  • Lots of little bureacrats who were also raking it in on the side. We have far too many bureaucrats.
  • Main Stream Media owned by Global Interests engaging in bias and slander and failing to tell the truth.
  • Big pharma making a killing from Government patents and regulations that protect their unfair monopoly – why can’t we buy our drugs in Canada or Mexico? Why can’t HMOs compete across state lines. Where is all this cushy protection.
  • Farmers getting subsidies long out of date
  • Investors like George Soros using arcane investing rules to allow them to profit from an economic decline (Then they use thier wealth and power to create such decline)
  • People on welfare now have to learn a trade and begin to support self and family and the nation.
  • Abortion clinics relying on public funding.
  • Monsanto (GMO) permitted by Clinton to hide what they are doing to poison our food.
  • Bribed politicians and on and on.

No wonder there are a lot of unhappy people.

That they love him speaks a lot for Donald Trump.
  • Trump’s political views are still evolving and he is not fixed. He evaluates the situation in front of him, he observes, and then he decides before he acts. He is able TO SEE.
  • He is transparent, and tells it like it is. This is likable.
  • He understands TV; and as an entertainer he is supreme
  • He understands finance; and this is something we badly need, it has become beyond vital to fix the failing economy before the next economic bubble pops (derivatives)
  • In the event of an economic or any major catastrophe, Trump is a strong man. In such a bad event we will need strength in a leader.
  • He promises jobs, knowing that putting us ALL back to work will raise our morale
  • He is sensible: “identify your goals, know precisely what you want to achieve, then find and surround yourself with the best people”  Good advice. Already we have seen this work for him.
  • He is sound on Education (He supports school choice, and opposes Common Core)
  • He is sound on Taxes. He asks simplification of the cumbersome and complex income tax code. His plan to tax the rich is coming under attack, yet what he proposes is an amazingly fair and gradient approach to handle income inequality
  • That he only hits back when attacked, yet hits back hard and effectively.
  • Most of all we are coming to realize that those who oppose him are corrupt. There is a whole thick, entrenched system in Washington which is rigged.  We begin to understand the opposition to Trump better when we realize just how much money the elites (both global, democratic and republican) are standing to lose.Trump will expose their corruption.

corporate greed

Not all who oppose Trump are corrupt, some are wary because . . .

  • His style is somewhat new and he is not in any way politically correct. As a friend put it, “Trump is saying all the right things, I just wish somebody else was saying it.”
  • Would he have the strength and the smarts to take America through a bankruptcy without letting the fabric of our society fall apart, for that is what it may take?
  • Will he introduce change on an acceptable gradient, giving us time to catch up. We see that he is way ahead even than the smartest of our thinkers. Will he be gentle on us?
  • The true test of his greatness will be to bring his prior enemies onto the train, invite them to WAKE UP.
  • Will Trump grant others the ability to  see things their own way, to disagree with him AS LONG AS THEY ARE FAIR?  The true test of greatness will be to LEARN to love his enemies provided they are declawed.

Some of these are valid concerns, electing  an outsider to the post of President is a big change from politics as usual. He has my support because he supports the Republican form of government; in a Republic, government rules only with consent of the governed. In a global or progressive administration “Might is Right” and this opens the door to oppression.

And that folks is what was at stake in 2016. We could have lost America. We could have been forced by the Clintons into the North American Union to become just another corrupt, Banana Republic bowing down the might of the corrupt global elite.

character

So where do we go from here? We come together as Americans, grateful that once again America has stood up to the challenge.

I  am now studying that incomparable Hillsdale College Course on the Constitution and finding that Trump’s instinctive solutions are mostly aligned with the core beliefs of the founding fathers. They, too, valued common sense.

Don’t feel bad if you got it wrong: the political lies were so many as to be overwhelming. The key difference between the candidates: I do believe that Trump can change. He will grow into his new position. I don’t see that Hillary has changed in thirty years. She has always put power over people.

In times of great change we need a President who is in no way a puppet as has been Hillary & Obama. America needs an outsider who can think on his feet. I do believe such a man is Donald Trump.

So I have a message for those who still oppose Trump:

Do your homework.

  • Get educated on the “out of touch” globalists many of whom do not have your better interests at heart
  • If you do not understand a Constitutional Republic take some time to study the incomparable FREE online course from Hillsdale College.
  • Read one or two of Trump’s books, (you may start start with the Midas Touch)
  • Learn about the Political Lies being told by the Corporate Oligarchies.
  • Learn how Main Stream Media is now a Monopoly and the dubious techniques they use to mislead you Recognize that it is the lies and half truths that has you all upset.  Learn to spot the false labels and the generalities.

It is a big world out there, a big responsibility. We turth-seekers honestly believe that it begins by first fixing up our own house and then we can help other soveriegn nations. “America First” is common sense.

We will see if Power corrupts Trump or not, and we will be vigilant and become active again to curb his power if that is needed.

But for now it is the dawn of a new day.

families at night

We all need to give our new president- elect some time and space. We need to have faith in the American system; the people have spoken.

I have a dream, and this is that Trump will pattern himself after George Washington with the aggression and strength to fight for what is right; but the restraint to earn him a true legacy.

Federal Funding

What Federal and State Governments Should and Should Not Spend Money On

by Griping Grandpa

Senator Rand Paul recently spoke out against so-called Sanctuary Cities, like San Francisco, that refuse to comply with Federal laws on illegal immigration. He proposed to withhold federal aid to these cities to help enforce compliance.

While on the one hand I sympathize with Senator Paul’s views, on the other hand I disapprove of such coercive means. However, I mention this incident because it raised another question in my mind, “Should ANY city be receiving federal funding at all?”

The Constitution’s 14th Amendment instructs, “… nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.” While this does not exactly promise “equal justice for all,” it is an ideal to strive for.

Equal justice for all means that no person or group should be singled out to be rewarded in any way, other than what they are owed. The reason for that is simple: If the government rewards someone with public funds, it can only do so by taking it away from others.
Davy CrockettThere is a story about Davy Crockett, of Alamo fame, who also served as a Congressman in the 1800’s. During his first term, some homes burned down in Georgetown. Congress, with Crockett’s support, approved funds to help the victims of the fire rebuild their homes.

Later, when campaigning for re-election, a constituent rebuked him for voting in favor of financial aid to the fire victims, because by doing so he was taking money from others whose need was even greater. Crockett realized the man was right and, after he was re-elected, when financial aid to the widow of a deceased officer was proposed, he voted against the measure, while offering to contribute a week’s pay of his own money to help her. He made an impassioned speech about the issue and the measure was defeated as a result. No other member of Congress offered any of their own money.

No Bail-Outs!

Of course the federal government needs money to operate at all and do its job, such as protecting our borders and maintaining friendly relations with other countries. But it should not engage in bail-outs, hand-outs, foreign aid, or subsidies. Those things are unfair and a burden on those who are not the immediate beneficiaries. Similar rules should apply to state, county and city governments.

These principles are things to keep in mind when voting on propositions in the future. If we demand impartiality and vote down any measure that would favor one group or individual at the expense of others, who knows, we might even reduce the national debt!

Will ObamaTrade benefit the American Taxpayer?

Is the  Devil in the Details, and are these Details have been Hidden and Obfuscated?

The TPA sneaked through the Senate at the end of May and this was largely a matter of timing. It was put through when all eyes were on Rand Paul and his epic second filibuster. Despite feeble efforts to inject it with continuing life, Paul forced the Patriot Act to die an ignoble death.

The problem was that while  all this was happening Obama’s Fast Track Trade bill was quietly slipped through the Senate. A lot of bribe money then and I suspect even more bribe money now.

Sadly (it would seem) few Senators even bothered to read the TPA  bill or even went down to the uber-secret room to get updated on the terms of TPP.

Open Secrets Blog reported several politicians whose net worth went up.  You can google this there.

Now Obama is back probably with even more BRIBE MONEY especially from BIG PHARMA.

THIS TRADE DEAL WILL BE DISASTROUS FOR AMERICA depriving of our sovereignty.

obamatrade

Trans Promotion Authority (TPA)
TPA and TPP are actually different bills.

TPA (Trade Promotion Authority) or Fast Track gives a president increased power to negotiate Trade Deals with other countries without “interference” from Congress.  Congress may approve or disapprove a President’s Trade Agreement but Congressmen cannot amend or filibuster the deal once agreement is reached.

Historically this authority is not an executive right. For a limited time Congress grants a President this temporary privilege during the named life of a treaty, but only for the duration of a specific trade-deal.

Nixon first kicked off this authority and it stayed in effect from 1975 – 1994.   It was resurrected by the Trade Act of 2002 but expired on July 1, 2007. In 2012 the Obama Administration began seeking a renewal for the authority (and as we speak the heat is on).

What congressional rights will Congress be forced to give up with TPA, ?

Congress gives up the power to write legislation, the power to amend legislation, the power to fully examine legislation, the power to predict and investigate the consequences to a specific bill.  In addition Congress gives up the chance to keep debate open until cloture. Most of all Congress gives up the constitutional requirement that Trade -treaties can only be approved  by a full two-thirds vote.

Pros
Republicans like Free Trade; they like the idea of giving a President the freedom to negotiate a Trade Deal with other countries, provided they can get an up and down vote on the agreement and with TPA  they can.

  • Countries are unlikely to commit to a deal that could later be changed in part or in full by Congress. Foreign countries want to know what they are getting into and that the deal is stable.
  •  This point is a negative/positive: Obama has shown in the past that when stopped by Congress he is quite willing to go it alone. His unilateral International agreements are likely to be thrown out by the courts (over time)for such is the American system. However in the meantime having a rogue President is an international embarrassment for America and would become a distraction and a liability as we ramp up for the next election. So why not let a little steam tickle out of those big ears, keep the lame-duck President happy and occupied. Then it would be less likely for things to blow up again.

Cons forTPA
Obama is no longer trusted by Republicans, by Americans or for that matter  even by his own party on this issue. So why give him more executive authority to again gum the works?

  • It would seem that Fast Track and TPP will operate ABOVE THE CONSTITUTION. With this transfer of authority Legislators give up their God Given right to do their job as defined by the constitution.
  • Already there is an unhealthy imbalance between the Executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary; TPA and TPP make this worse.
  •  While TPA is something different from TPP many republicans (like Paul Ryan) recognize that once a trade deal has been put on Fast Track, it is all but impossible to stop it. Since Fast Track was created by Richard Nixon few Trade Deals have been thwarted once they get fast-tracked.

With this in mind we have to look a little more intently at TPA and TPP. Do we really want ObamaTrade? Does the American Taxpayer really want Fast Track ?

or TPP?

Trans Pacific Partnership

Why do we seek to make Trade agreements?  The advantage lies in removing obstacles to the flow of goods and services between countries originating from local tariffs – remove the tariffs and producer and consumer both benefit whatever the country.

Liberalizing services in a Trade deal make them more accessible and efficient and provides an opportunity to open up industries long sheltered from foreign competitors. This is a good thing.

However according to leaks there is a lot in this partnership that has nothing whatever to do with trade:

  • Strong patent protection rules for Big Pharma.
  • Changes to the USA copyright law. Under the TPP, copyright terms for individuals would go from life of the author plus 50 years to life of the author plus 70 years.
  • The creation of International-Investor Tribunals. There are provisions that grant foreign investors the right to sue governments on the basis of vague and broad obligations regarding loss of “expected” profits.
Such suits would not be conducted by judges appointed for life in the American courts which subordinate to the Constitution.Where special interests appoint both the judge and the jury there will be arbitrary justice as in the darker ages on a darker continent.

esstablishment
Pros of TPP
The TPP covers a wide range of goods and services and finding common ground could be facilitated by a central agency similar to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs..This would facilitate Trade.

  • Industries like Big Pharma will get a boost because the treaty protects patents.
  •  Americans educated to provide technical services at home or abroad are likely to see their income go up as the demand for their services increases.

The movie, book and music Industries will benefit with copyrights given more teeth (protected by the TPP) Therefore, the higher-paid owners of intellectual property would receive more of the income gains from this Trade Treaty.

Cons to TPP

  • Trade Treaties promote cheaper goods from lower wage countries creating competition and putting local shops out of business.
  • Fair Use and Free Speech could be adversely impacted. Social Media Sharing could berestricted, citing copyright restrictions. Yet this innocent social sharing has become an intrinsic part of the new Internet Culture and is a form of free speech and it is a good thing.
  •  The protected patents are going to reduce the availability of cheap generics, making drugs more expensive. This is bad especially for the poorer world countries, denying them generics that could save lives.
  • Corporations get excused from safety and/or quality and/or environmental responsibilities – not a good thing.
  • Product transparency will be disallowed. Efforts to get Big Agri to label meat products was thrown out in May justified by the most recent Trade deal. Instead of reinforcing transparency it would seem that TPP leans towards secrecy and complexity.
  • The extreme secrecy in which TPP has been incubated is a negative. Many of the things that went wrong with ObamaCare could also go awry with ObamaTrade simply because the devil is in the details and the details are being hidden or obfuscated. And because of TPA Congress will not be able to do anything about problems that surface AFTER THE DEAL IS STRUCK. With Fast Track, Congress is left with no other option than to throw out the whole Treaty BUT killing the treaty may not be the best solution; throwing out the baby with the bath water?
  • Of most concern though, is that TPP is designed to supersede American financial regulations. This will make ti all but impossible to get in ethics and correction on the International Banking Monopolies. TPP would empower the world’s largest banks, including 19 of the 30 biggest non-U.S. banks, to “sue” the U.S. government before extrajudicial tribunals. Note:it is said that the USA Federal Reserve has in the past bailed out some of these international banks We do not know this for sure, for this, too, is shrouded in an unacceptable secrecy. In all its existence the Federal Reserve has never been subjected to an audit.According to leakes the TPP empowers foreign banks to challenge new U.S. financial protections on the flimsiest of pretexts –  it becomes “illegal” to  frustrate the banks’ “expectation of profit.”  Hello? There is nothing specific or finite here, nothing to be proven, the profit clause is vague and a generality.TPP is also slated to include deregulation provisions written before the financial crisis – provisions that would conflict with bans on risky derivatives or policies that prevent banks from becoming “too big to fail.”  Sen. Warren and other financial experts are warning Congress and Obama that TPP “could make it harder for Congress and regulatory agencies to prevent future financial crises

So we have to ask the key question – is TPP intended to replace our Constitution?

Way back then, it was the States that created the Union, and they gave no authority to the central government via the U. S. Constitution that would provide powers they were not willing to give the central authority. They did not permit functions or activities given the Union to be given over to any agency outside the Union.

The Constitution states that the President shall have the power only with the Advice and Consent of the Senate to make treaties provided two thirds of the Senators present concur.  (Article II, section 2 paragraph 2)

unconstitutional

Where to from Here?

So what really happened when TPA was railroaded through the Senate when nobody was looking? And what of the everyday citizens and taxpayers of America? Do we still have the rights given us in the Constitution?

The people of America are suspicious and they do not like the TPP; polls show this clearly. Politicians beware.  Polls show an overwhelming majority oppose TPP and they are out there on Social Media howling their outrage. Politicians who support TPP should wake up and smell the coffee.

2016 is just around the corner.

Polls however won’t defeat TPP.  It is only if we stand together to oppose this assault on our constitution, our heritage and our rights. If we stand up and speak out, and get in the face of power will the people be able to overcome TPP’s plutocracy?.

The Pros and Cons of Electronic Surveillance.

(Excerpt from Politics IOU by Grandma Thunder)

From the Political Research Foundation:

Has the Intelligence Community overreacted to the threat of terrorism? Do we have a handle on just how real this threat is to our national security, not when the towers came down but the threat in present time, right now?

God coin sinking

The Federal Government has authorized B.O.S.S. to conduct unlimited electronic surveillance on the citizens of the New World and to store this information in one BIG biometric database. Once upon a time before all the snooping on our citizens the intelligence community were required to prove that a specific crime had been committed, now with the BOSS Act this restriction is no longer. Electronic data can now be collected on anyone, anytime and in any way. The Department of Justice (which mistakenly exists in the Executive but has nothing actually to do with Justice) can nowadays peek into your computer and listen in on your phone calls whenever it so chooses. If it doesn’t like what you are saying, you are in trouble for there is no recourse, no recourse whatsoever under the BOSS Act which operates under a separate secret court.

We asked the presidential candidates to comment:

Priscilla Laws: (Candidate for the Establishment)
There is a HUGE terrorist threat which adversely impacts our lives. The oil, our gold and our diamonds are at risk. We have to act quickly against terrorism, faster than the bureaucratic checks previously provided by the courts, in order to properly protect our resources. The intelligence failed in the past. The reason for this was too many disparate intelligence communities. This is the main reason for BOSS. We have eliminated situations where the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing in the intelligence community. We have eliminated duplicate functions, creating a far more efficient intelligence department. In this regard the administration collects data using all means available to it, and certainly it collects electronic data for that is the quickest. The government uses facial recognition mined primarily from Social Search and Media to identify and apprehend terrorists. Before we had fingerprinting but with BOSS we now have retina scans and facial feature recognition.

Spying on American Citizens

This is a true state of Emergency: The authority on which the Federal Government has been setting up this biometric database is vested in the “Commander in Chief” by the constitution, for these are very dangerous times.

McClosky: (the libertarian candidate)
The “probable cause” requirement of the fourth amendment has the purpose of keeping the Federal Government out of our lives unless it has reason to believe that a specific crime has been committed. It prohibits inspection before the fact; by this I mean the assumption of guilt before the objective facts have all been assimilated.

Citizens living in the free world have the god-given right to express their political beliefs without fear of government censor; we should have this god-given right to speak on the phone, to write our opinions, and share our observations on social media, without anybody snooping on us or restricting our communication.

The Constitution Party opposes  the BOSS Act in every way.

The Federal Government refuses to consider debate on this subject because their top DOJ officials have already considered all the relevant arguments for and against, behind closed doors. The President tells us they have worked out the perfect formula for sacrificing privacy to security. What is this formula? You will have to take his word on this, because, guess what? Even his formula is secret and classified.

I recently talked with a BOSS official. He was trying to dicker with our party financials and he was getting it all wrong. Luckily I was still able to set him right on the finances. He was a good guy and we straightened out the misunderstanding. Or so I thought we had? As an afterthought I asked him about surveillance drones.

“Cool,” he said, “We got eyes and ears in the sky! Soon we are going to arm these. Then, Senator, if you put a foot out of line again, we got ya!”

Note: He had just conceded I was innocent of any wrong doing and that he was the one who had made a mistake. I realized it was a moot point; The Federal Government has the guns and in his federal view might is right. Instant punishment! Instant pain even when you are not guilty! That is why they want to take away our guns.

Gonzali Larkin:
(Representing the Producers Party)
He didn’t send in a written response, he dropped in to see the Foundation personally, considering this subject a matter of high importance.

The third party candidate began lightly: “If they want to snoop into my bedroom, maybe I can teach them a thing or two!”

Laughter

He grinned, “My son yesterday got one of those scare spam calls telling him that the Government knows all about his porn surfing on the web” ; he nearly jumped out of his “too tight” teenage britches.

Laughter

“We are already two thirds into a new digital culture and marketers have used electronic cookies to collect data on potential customers for nearly thirty years; I am not all that concerned: Actually one can use technology to protect against electronic snooping. Did you know that?”

Most of us didn’t know and he promised to send us the tech-tools to protect ourselves.

When he continued, his tone was a little more serious.  “BOSS collects and stores the full content of photographs, emails, chat transcripts, and other documents that don’t belong to them, actually these belong to us. They say they are keeping this data secret but it seems they can’t even keep our sensitive data secure, for we have already had several whistle-blower leaks to the Press!”

More Laughter.

He went on:  “For locating and tracking people BOSS relies on facial recognition. In Silicon there is a popular shift towards using “selfies” instead of passwords. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn’t. Face recognition is not all that cut and dried, not yet. “The danger of permitting this kind of database is in the wrong profiling. I could walk past a mosque, or share wisdom from an admired religious leader (no longer in good standing) and my name could land on a red-hot, short-list. But don’t worry my good friends, I promise not to grow a beard in this world of arbitrary intelligence.

A few giggles.

That was when his smile faded, ” I didn’t come all this way down here to entertain you, I came to warn you”

“If they make a mistake and get it wrong and detain you or me, we could have our financial assets appropriated and worst scenario we could even be tortured with no chance to defend ourselves. Under the BOSS Act all is conducted behind closed doors where everything is secret. We are dealing here with a whole new structure of secret courts our standard judicial system has been compromised and is being bypassed.

We all pay lip service to the idea of a separation of powers between the Executive, the Justice and the Legislature.  Did you know that going all the way back to shortly after the civil war we have not enjoyed this separation of powers? No, I see that you did not know that.

What we now have is a new Intelligence Department created by a President and reporting directly to the President. This is a collapse of Justice and the Executive.

“We now have loyalist Power Czars hired and fired by the President. Such appointments are not ratified by the Senate. This is a collapse of the Legislature and the Executive.

“With these new autocratic dictatorial powers that are being assumed by the Executive how long before the Federal or Intelligence people feel they has the right to tell us how we have to think, and feel and act. The Executive has no right to establish our moral code, or what is considered as RIGHT and WRONG, UNDER LAW. This is why we have elected representatives so that our values filter up through a democratic process to become the law of the land.

“I warn you gentlemen that our real problem lies in the structure of our political organization, in its departure from what was intended by our founders; this is what has to be fixed.

Looking in on the world

You can solve it with transparency and consistent with our Time Proven Constitutional Rights

With Boss what we now have had is ten years of a secret court system deciding our rights without any oversight whatsoever, and without the ability to participate or even read the legal opinion of the secret judges; is this not the antithesis to any kind of due process of law.

Our nation is known for freedom all over the world and we have a responsibility to lead the world to sanity and to freedom.

Our founders fled to the New World to escape arbitrary rule and arbitrary justice in an old and troubled world, and for almost a decade in the face of a real terrorist threat we have been sliding backwards. We can solve this in a far better way.We have to solve this in a better way.

We don’t have to give up our rights. Evil proliferates only in the presence of secrecy. We have to craft an open-solution to the problem that is in no way contrary to our fundamental constitutional principles. I truly believe this is possible.

Stand up, turn around and lets keep the forward motion going. Stay free.

Transparency

Excerpt from Politics IOU

. . .  The disgraced politician barricaded himself in his office where he read and reread every blog-post Majula had ever written. He wanted to reach out to her and to say, “you were right, blog queen, it was voter fraud, I was fraudulently elected; you were right the election was manipulated,” but it was far too late for that. He could honestly say “I didn’t know” but when had that ever been a justification? So instead now she had exposed it, he hid from the nation, he hid from the world and he hid from himself.  Barricaded in his officed he reread and reread and read again all her words. He finally came to admire her. However had she figured it all out when he,  who was the apparent benefactor of the scam, had had no idea?

He also came to agree with her vibrant message, voiced in so many different ways,  in so many posts and on so many different websites: She had written, “Transparency alone will flush out the evil, transparency will set us free.”  So it was that creating transparency became his new goal.

He withdrew from the presidential race, he withdrew from politics altogether, but he was not done. He was determined to use what power and influence that he still had for the greater good. The vehicle he chose was his Research Foundation; something he had started ten years before. He began to rework this institution to make transparency its mission.

News from the “Research Foundation.”

Did you know?

It is a comfortable idea that it is good to kill at a comfortable distance without having to put boots on the ground. B.O.S.S. (Bureau of State Security) claims that no New World Citizen is being targeted by drones yet the Security Agency refuses to give us specifics. The foundation asks,  “What are the real civilian drone casualties around the world?”

International watch groups place this number at over 5000 (mainly women and children). The national security world denies this number, but the foundation suspects their numbers are false for they count children over the age of twelve in a strike zone as militants; these young children who should be in school are being called guilty as charged and have no recourse.

drone two

We ask the presidential candidates to comment.

Gonzali Larkin:

(Representing the Producer’s Party)

This is a new technology, it is very powerful, expensive technology which can harm and destroy and as such it wants proper oversight. The real problem here is not that drones are being used to seek out and destroy our enemies, the real problem here is that there is actually transparently NO LEGISLATION that defines how we are to honorably use drones.

Under no circumstances would I approve the use drones on the citizens of our nation. That said, I do support the use of drones under certain, specific conditions to handle our enemies, those who seek us harm.

Yet is still have to ask where Congress stands on this matter? The Senate has been somewhat vocal on the suject of drones but there are still many questions.

My office has asked the DOJ but gotten no answers, there appears to be no satisfactory rules in place to govern how in the future we are to use this powerful technology, no safeguards on government using it against the people. It is all clouded in secrecy.

My office has been told there is a secret court and that there are secret laws governing their use, but I do not see that the legislature, Congress or the Senate  has clearly and transparently defined how we are to use drones in the future..

I hear there are sectet rules but I do not hold with this secrecy. Even when we attempt the freedom of information my office hits a blank wall.
So I have to ask, regarding the use by the military of drones, is Congress and the Senate doing their sacred duty? I am deeply concerned that we are fast (again) becoming a country that condones arbitrary force.

Is this not what our founders fled to the New World to get away from?

drone three

Konstantin:

(Representing the Religious Right)

I fully support the use of unmanned aircraft to kill suspected terrorists. This is a religious war that has played out for centuries and I know it is a righteous war because God has now given us the technology to handle it. We have to realize that our way of life is superior and it should be praised and admired. It always amazes me that our lesser brethren do not happily accept the gift of a superior culture, but instead fight us. I have been briefed by the President and I am fully satisfied that there is adequate oversight of the drone program, and that it is being conducted within the rule of law. A president is tasked with the job of keeping his people safe. If he shuns the available defense tools in the pursuit of justice, he is not doing his job.

Priscilla Laws:

(Attorney General – running for President)

We have to carefully weigh the constitutional right to due process with the government’s obligation to keep us safe. The current administration strongly supports the use of drones. These have been useful in hitting and destroying terrorist cells on their own home ground and thus preventing terrorists from bringing their evil acts of violence onto our own sacred soil. Our administration has ordered a review into the oversight of drone actions and to this end we have established a special court to oversee instances where lethal action is being contemplated. We have also beefed up our Congressional Briefings and as President I look forward to engaging Congress to explore other options for increased oversight.

It is not possible nowadays or even desirable to deploy special troops on the ground, as this puts our own young men at risk. Furthermore putting our boots on the ground may trigger an international incident. The wonder of drones is that they can kill at a distance, while being controlled from right here at home. Regarding transparency: I see challenges in striking the right balance between security and an open society. It is important to keep information secret that protects secret operations.

dfrone four

Norman McClosky:
(Libertarian)

The President claims the unchecked authority to put desert people on “kill lists” on the basis of a secret determination, based on secret evidence, on a secret definition of enemy. If we let all of these secrets go unchallenged, how long do you think it will be before they put you and me on these same kill lists? With these new weapons of mass destruction a power czar would be able to sit in a situation room and press a button and with the new power of the drones, take out all of his political enemies. He would be able to do this with no valid congressional oversight, or any requirement of a declaration of war.

I regret to say that some of what we call terrorism is but a backlash; a payback for past imperial exploitation. I maintain that we do better when we apologize for the times in the past when we have overreached; when we take responsibility for our mistakes and make the appropriate amends and compensation. When drones harm civilians, should we not do all that we can to make up the damage to the civilian families who are in no way our enemies, yet we have harmed them?

If we want to take responsibility for leading the world to better ways, it will open the door to new friendly relations with the countries around the world and we can help them to control their own radical elements. Not all people are bad, in fact there is a majority of good people around the world everywhere. It is with these persons of goodwill that we should seek to engage. We are the super power, if we are fair and just we should not have to spend so much on military bases around the world, at the cost of our own poverty and infrastructure. If we were to take true responsibility we would not have an unfortunate state of perpetual war, a war of terror that has never been declared.

Our constitution does not give the security detail the right to act and commit international crimes in our name with no oversight from congress and with no true transparency.

Majula’s Blog

In living memory there have been three civilizing waves: the Agricultural, the Industrial and now the Digital-Electronic Wave. The changes we now experience are fast and furious and are akin to a gigantic wave that is descending on us. Imagine a powerful sea, with large waves breaking. The force of each new wave is met by the force of the prior wave receding. At the place where the two waves meet, their force is broken into a thousand swirling eddies. Is this the cultural confusion we are now experiencing? It is not the first time two powerful civilizing waves have met and wreaked havoc on society. It was the force of the Industrial Revolution that undid the old Agricultural Order of Kings and Aristocrats. The difference is that in those days it was easy to see the unfair advantage and it was inevitable that justice and fair play would eventually win out.

As the Industrial wave meets the Digital Wave, the conflict is both bigger and more subtle. This is because in the industrial order it is easy for bad men to hide, because of the split between the consumer and the producer. Those taking advantage learned to steal from both producer and consumer and they perfected the art of hiding. When men do not act to serve the greatest good, their activities MUST be conducted in secrecy.

But times are changing. Now we are all connected via the Internet. The glory of the Internet is that it brings with it a new transparency; it gives men of goodwill a tool to bring bad men and bad acts to the light of day. The web empowers the individual, connects people and groups, but most of all it mandates transparency. Those who have bad secrets are finally running scared and finally, if we truly come to terms with this, we can spot evil men by their efforts to keep their secrets.

Our economy is in disarray with too much debt and far too much unemployment, yet the corporate and financial orders still operate in what has now become unacceptable secrecy. As the old industrial model finally crumbles, it is exciting that we can replace the corrupt order with a better culture, maybe even a Golden Age, but we are going to need men of vision, men of integrity, and men who understand the new culture. I maintain that all men of goodwill should stand up and demand transparency, we should all demand transparency, each and every one of us we should demand transparency both in the corporate world and in government. It is only transparency that can flush out the old evil and the old industrial and banking corruption.

It may be hard for us to see and it may be hard for us to accept as we cling to our secrets while the energy swirls around us. It may be hard to see while the banking and corporate and military and political powers fight to maintain what has been their unfair privilege.

You and I can ride and command this new electronic wave, but only if we use our strong demand for transparency as the raft to keep us all afloat, not just in our nation but all around the world.

We can use transparency to help us create a better system – for if we don’t the new electronic wave will but absorb the old evil and the new wave which before was shining with such promise, could go black and crash and engulf us.

Socialism

Proof that you cannot Multiply Wealth by Dividing it!

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that socialism worked, and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

picture of skunk looking at new flag for USAThe professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism ”
… All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A…. (Substituting grades for dollars – something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

This story was forwarded without the original source. Grandma did not write it.  She thought it great, and so is sharing with you.

This is Grandma’s take on Socialism

  1. When the people get the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.
  2. When some of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, that is also the beginning of the end of the nation.
  3. Government cannot give to anybody anything what the government does not first take from somebody else.  When politicians perfect the art of taking from producers, it is the beginning of the end of a nation.
  4. Oligarchies, Monopolies and Crony Capitalism does this better (i.e.Stealing from the people) than even Big Government.  When the idle rich and the idle poor get in bed with the force of Big Government with intent to steal from the people (in other words to create Socialism) the end is very nigh.
  5. Socialism destroys society and local communities. It is mostly embraced by those who seek unfair advantage over others. It is also attractive to victims, those who do not take responsibility. Give such people power and that is the beginning of the end of a nation.

This is a blog post from Grandma Thunder. Can you think of a single reason for not sharing this classroom story? Neither could Grandma! So she has shared it with you. Please do also share!

Quote for the Week

The Problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money
Margaret Thatcher

old woman walking on water.

Capitalism and Prosperity

Capitalism is the best system, but is that what we have in America?

When we look back in history, we see that Capitalism is closely linked to prosperity. Sadly, Socialism (a managed economy) always brings with it poverty. The propaganda in favor of socialism notwithstanding, compare the standard of living in America (flawed as it is) with the low standard of living in Europe and the even worse standard of living in Mexico and other Third World countries. There is a reason for this?

“Sally”, goes to work and produces product, and if she is effective, she is able to produce more than she needs for her own consumption; in other words she has some spare-change. In a Socialist Country she gives this money to the State, in a Capitalistic country she either invests her spare money in a friend’s business, a 401K for her retirement, or she puts the surplus in a bank. She has her own account in the bank and to that degree she still has some cause and control over her surplus, in other words she doesn’t owe it to anybody.  In a capitalistic system even the bank she uses to store her money is not owned by the State. In our little story here, a story that will be woven over several related posts, our banker is called “Dick”

Why should Capitalism bring prosperity when socialism brings poverty?

Hercules and the World

It is in the nature of man to work hard for private property (wealth)  It is also in the nature of man to like the game; working men and women thrive on competition.

Both Sally and Tom work in a canteen in a big hospital. She is a cashier in the food court and he is a cashier in the Canteen Retail Store. Both work under the Canteen Chief who has only one assistant who is about to retire. Both Sally and Tom want this post, so here is a healthy scarcity and some healthy competition. This is not a bad thing for both wanting that job motivates them. In fact Sally is quite determined to prove that as a woman she is as good as or better than Tom!  It is true that both Tom and Sally want to advance, yet only one of them will promote to assistant with better prospects and a better salary and better opportunities for the future.

If it comes to pass that Tom likes the good life and goofs off, yet Sally puts in extra diligence and works long hours efficiently; and Sally, although a woman, is better liked by the other workers and goes out of her way to help the Canteen Chief whenever she can, she will in time get the  job she wants   So as Sally promotes and as she begins to earn a surplus, she invests this in Dick’s bank. In a capitalistic economy she is also free to choose her bank

Free competition is the freedom to produce, and the freedom to trade what one has produced with whomsoever one chooses in the pursuit of happiness.

A different man, (call him “Harry”) is an effective entrepreneur and he starts a furniture company, expanding his small business to where he and his workers reach maximum efficiency. He will need new materials, new machinery, and more personnel if he wanted to take his business to the next, higher level. Going from small, to a medium sized or big business requires capital. Seeing his need, Dick the banker goes to Harry and he says “Hey there, Harry, I have got this money, I got this money from Sally and what am I to do with it?” He forgets conveniently that it isn’t really his money, that it really still belongs to Sally who entrusted him with its safe-keeping.

“Ah, “says Harry, “If I can just use ‘your’ money for a little while, I could really make it worth your while.” Harry also makes the mistake of thinking the money belongs to Dick, for after all possession is nine tenths of the law.  So Dick and Harry enter into a financial transaction, which defines how much is loaned and when the loan will be repaid  This is a good transaction, well it is good if Dick is honorable and shares some of the gains with Sally, whose money it is.

Sally was the initial good producer, and prosperity comes to a community when producers are rewarded. But this trade between Dick and Harry, it is a good thing, for it enables Harry to buy more machinery and employ more workers.  If he manages his enterprise efficiently, everybody wins.

Capitalism has been known to function more efficiently than socialism?  This is because free men left to their own best interests without interference, are able to adapt to local and cultural changes. State-owned economies are cumbersome, they get top heavy and unwieldy, and so they slow things down. In a capitalistic economy creative men are able to see a need and have the smarts to fill it, and to fill it quickly. This was true for both Dick and Harry in our example. It was also true of Sally. True capitalism is dynamic, it is fast and it is sensitive to change.

Contrary to the black propaganda, Capitalism is also fair, for the free market is able to organize a billion economic decisions; how much a worker should be paid, how much inventory a company should carry, who should get product, and what new technology the firm should get, it organizes an incredible amount of complexity The amazing thing is that Capitalism’s price mechanism sorts it all out. The wonder of a dynamic capitalistic economy is that because creativity is rewarded, there is always an abundance of new solutions, new ideas, and new inventions. It works, it works efficiently and the community is rewarded with abundance.

Let’s take out our magnifying glass and newly examine how it works: Harry’s furniture factory gets bigger and bigger until he saturates the local market. There comes a time when most people in his local community own his cabinets, chairs, beds and tables. This can be a problem, giving him three choices. He can widen his reach and export his furniture to other counties and/or even ship out to other countries, but this will eat into his profits. A better solution would be to use his knowledge, his expertise, his people and his factory to create something else, a new product but one closely related to his first successful product   In a free economy he can use his smarts and his ingenuity to make a new product, where he can use the machinery and people he already has. In this way the community is enriched with more product selection.

Harry has a third choice but it is an unethical one. He could ask the state or government to protect his enterprise, or protect his workers or bail out the activity after he allowed it to get too big and unwieldy. This is bad news for the tax-payer who will have to pitch in to subsidize what is essentially inefficiency, non-production and a rigid system..

God coin sinking

End of Capitalism

In a socialistic system we have seen this happen, even in a quasi socialistic system the dice is loaded. One spots a “managed” economy (and the resultant onset of poverty) by the weighted dice, the irrational regulations and the enforced hidden agenda, by the crony capitalism. .

Those who advocate socialism or state intervention always point to the inequities in a free capitalistic society. What they don’t see is that these very inequities show that the system has already been tampered with.  It can get so far South that the only way to fix it is to reconfigure the full fundamentals of the economy.

The enemies of Capitalism are:

  • Big, Bad Banking
  • Crony Capitalism
  • Corrupt Corporatism
  • Corrupt Education
  • An inept public sector
  • Keynesian Economics (Quantitative Easing)
  • Mismanaged Tech Advances
  • Communism
  • International Socialism

You may be surprised to find the biggest enemy of Capitalism lies in the area of Justice whose job it is to police out the corruption.  Grandma believes that this went wrong just after Lincoln was assassinated. Surprised? Stay tuned and all will be explained.

It is the force of government that tells Sally she HAS to pay taxes and that she HAS to give all her spare money to the government. It is the force of government that tells Harry that he, too, MUST pay a hefty corporate tax and that he HAS to pay all the medical bills of his employees, and moreover provide a safety net of welfare for his workers, but also for the nation. He is also forced to do the work of government collecting the sales tax and other taxes when he could be working on promotion and production for his own company. Government forces him to do this work.

Sadly Harry knows that he (as a small business) cannot do all this and still compete with those from across the border. He is being unfairly squeezed.  So he goes out of business and another small business has been FORCED to close its doors

Government is force, and like fire it can be a force for good or for evil. Government is necessary for it keeps things on an even keel; government (OR JUSTICE) does have the job of playing umpire. Not all regulations are bad.

Our elected officers have to come up to understanding our system and knowing that it does bring prosperity, that capitalism is the only proven system that does in fact bring prosperity. We (the people) do not want this poverty that an inept (corrupt) government has forced upon us. So what is it that we can we do? There is always something can be done about it.

Like Grandma each and every one of us can take the time to understand the system for only then can we honestly evaluate and elect responsible leaders in 2014.

In understanding lies our strength.

The Merry-Go-Round (2013)

Why the GOP lost the Election (updated in September 2013)

grandma walking on water.

The 2012 election was a spectacle with titillating, incredibly scintillating razzle-dazzle! With all that juicy, sparkling money coming in from Super PACs should we be surprised that the election became one big circus.

the circus
What goes Around comes Around

And when the circus was all over with the lights on the merry-go-round going dim and winking out, it was the donkeys who had won and they had won big time.

A herd of dejected, elephants were leaving office and trudging down the hill.

We are inclined to think that most of the money coming in from these independent political groups creating influence and super PACs were leaning to the right.  If you were to make this assumption you would be dead wrong. They are now increasingly looking LEFT! LOL. These super-rich men are seeking perks from a party that ran on the platform “Tax the Rich!”

  • Tax-exempt foundations supporting Obama have assets ten times greater than tax-exempt trusts and foundations supporting the GOP.
  • That the moneyed, philanthropic world is fast moving to the left.  Among the Obama supporters you can find: The Rockefeller Foundation; the Rockefeller Family Fund; the Ford Foundation; the Carnegie Corporation; the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation; the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation; the Heinz Family Foundation; the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation; the Fannie Mae Foundation; the Chevron-Texaco Foundation; the Annie E. Casey Foundation; the AT&T Foundation and many more.
  • The super rich CEO’s backed Obama in 2008: Jamie Dimon (JP Morgan Chase) Dick Fuld (CEO Lehman Bros) Warren Spector (CEO Bear Sterns) Larry Fink (Black Rock Money Management) Greg Fleming (Merrill Lynch) and Larry Blankfein (CEO Goldman Sachs).
  • Warren Buffet and George Soros are known to be Obama cronies and both have been well rewarded by the administration. Other donkey-perks have gone to Walmart (food stamps), J.P.Morgan Chase (Food Stamp EBT bank-fees) , and Pfizer (Obamacare).

The average man was hurting financially in 2012 and Grandma hasn’t seen it get much better in 2013. So the question is why did the GOP lose the presidential election in 2012? Typically when the economy is tight,  the country favors Republicans.

Politicians tend to think that when they do their dirty deeds that there are no consequences. Not true! Even in politics it seems that doing unto others as you would have them do unto you, is actually (long-term) the cleverer thing to do. Good politics builds trust. Our country has lost its faith in the political process.

The GOP Karl Rove invented and perfected the negative attack ad which created in turn a toxic, fearful & divisive parliament.  It was these dirty, diabolical tricks that gave us Bush-baby and kept him in office for two terms and he nearly did us in. These ugly techniques were so effective that politicians, both conservative and progressive, began to shake and quake in their boots. If they failed to toe the line would the dirty attack ads be used in the next election against them? Not a good game to play, Karl Rove, for what goes around comes around.  These black-propaganda techniques were actually damaging to the Republican party and to the democratic process. There is no substitute for truth in politics.

By 2012, the Democrats had finally mastered the same black arts with a brilliance unmatched even in the prior elections of Bush Daddy and Bush Baby. Mitt Romney was positioned as a liar, a tax evader, out of touch and uncaring – I suspect that there is little truth in any of these allegations yet they were thrown out so often and on so many channels that they were made to stick.

Karl Rove was initially a Bush-Daddy man. That is right, H.W. Bush the GOP one-term president who was defeated by Clinton and is famous for the line, “read my lips – no new taxes” just before he raised the taxes The irony is that the real crime was in the lie not in the taxes. People rarely forgive politicians when they make a promise and fail to deliver. The truth is that taxes are sometimes good and sometimes bad, politicians shouldn’t ever generalize or make promises they cannot keep.

Now Daddy-Bush is an interesting character. It is rumored he engaged in covert shenanigans with his Saudi friends to prevent the American hostages being released for long enough to undo Carter’s bid for a second term.  The fact is the hostages were released, but they were released only when Reagan was about to be sworn in.  President. Carter has said that his failure to bring the hostages home cost him his second term.  So Daddy-Bush made Carter a one-term president – and guess what, not too long thereafter, Daddy-Bush also became a one-term President. What goes around comes around

But what has all this to do with the GOP defeat in 2012? The thing is that Romney failed to differentiate himself from Bush or from Karl Rove, or from the torture/war maniac, Dick Cheney. So what happened is he assumed their crimes and sadly, for he is a good man, he got their payback.

The GOP lost the White House, yet they are still able to control Congress. Grandma’s advice to them,If they want to stay in office, with such a low approval rating, that they should investigate not only the Obama years but also the Bush years. Then they should put not one but two heads on a pike. They should hold the worst of the bunch criminal associated with the Obama administration, but they should also investigate the military-industrial complex usually associated with Republicans.  The party needs to wash its hands of the greed and the graft and all the civilian deaths in Iraq, and Afghanistan and elsewhere in the world that occurred at the hands of American soldiers.

Guns and hunger

Congress is investigating Soros but what about Cheney?  Investigating both and holding each accountable for their crimes would free up the Republican party from past crimes committed in their own ranks. It would  also send a CLEAR bipartisan American message to the world that we do not tolerate criminal behaviour in our own political ranks. It would tell the world that we in America can handle power without going corrupt. It would tell the world that War crimes like those in Syria and Egypt are not a national thing, no need for a national war here. Lets hold individuals with influence and power wherever in the world, responsible for what they do. War is not part of the vision bequeathed to us by our founding fathers. and I Grandma, as an American, feel that we as the Big Guy on the block, should be setting the good example.

If you look at all the presidents since WWII you will find that all except Carter were involved in a little or a big war. President Carter was/is positioned as a weakling and a wimp, yet it was he who said that when he had the option to go to war, he chose not to do it. It was wanted that he go to war to get the hostages released yet he bucked the military, saying that he didn’t want to kill, didn’t want to kill not only the hostages but 200,000 or more innocent Middle Eastern civilians. It took courage for Carter to take that stance. After he left office he became a Saint, contributing more to America and to the world with his Habitat for Humanity than any other past president.

We are experiencing great changes ushered in by an  electronic revolution. In the midst of this confusion we desperately, oh so desperately need good leaders that we can trust.

Of all the politicians gearing up for the 2016 election in terms of principle and integrity, Rand Paul shows the most promise for he (and his father) clearly love and follow the constitution.  Not a bad rock on which to pin our hopes for the future. Not a bad rock at all on which to pin the hopes of the world.

In 2014 & 2016 the GOP will get a second chance to clean up their act and if they do, then I sincerely believe they will win big time, for the current administration is corrupt, and therefore easy to beat.

But first the Republican Party will need to clean up their own act and distance themselves from corrupt past Republican shenanigans.

Audit the FED

.

government bad control

How’d you like it that every single dollar the federal government spent is “off the books”? No budget. No recordkeeping.

If you’re up in arms about our federal government’s $3.8 TRILLION on-the-books annual spending (and you should be), what do you say about the Federal Reserve putting the American people on the hook for $16 TRILLION in secret bailouts to crony capitalists and overseas banks as happened in secret only recently?

Rand Paul the Senator from Kentucky has newly introduced S. 209, the Audit the Fed bill.  He Is doing  everything he can to EXPOSE the Fed and stop Ben Bernanke’s economic snake oil “solutions” and he should be supported before we begin to find a loaf of bread now costs us  $10 or $20 or upwards of $30 dollars.

You may think we should not panic, and that there is no cause for concern. Don’t  buy the PR line that it is all getting better? Get the FACTS and  Insist on an audit. To solve our economic, to solve all our problems we NEED THE TRUTH. Insist on the audit.

Out of Control

We have to take action before it is too late.  We have to stand together and I think we have a chance if we STAND WITH RAND in 2016.

With our national debt spiraling out of control, and Ben Bernanke continuing to print money like there’s no tomorrow, there’s no time to waste to get educated and to make meaningful changes.

Illegal Immigration

Could this powder keg, always just waiting to go off, destroy America?

explosion

I am going to take you on a visit with an imaginary neighbor family. They have three children, all of school going age. The mother is a Special Education teacher and a Democrat, while the father also teaches, but his specialty is Math and he is and has always been a Republican. Did you say she’s a Democrat and he is Republican, are you sure?

Well did you know that Janna Ryan, wife of Mitt Romney’s running mate in the 2012 election was a Liberal Democrat when she met her husband? And did you know that first lady Laura Bush was also once a registered Democrat before marrying George W. Bush? And of course you did know that the infamous former California Republican Governor endorsed John McCain, in 2008, while his then-wife Maria Shriver was a strident Obama supporter?

Let me introduce you to this couple: Her name is Abigail and he is Noah. They have been together for fifteen years, two years longer than the age of their oldest child Troy who has just turned thirteen. On this day when we check in on them, they are sitting at an old kitchen table. Abbey has just made her husband apple/cinnamon pancakes, his favorite. She has also just discovered that if she brews their favorite Columbian coffee and pours it over a long glass of ice cubes and then throws in an Irish cream at the top, it is a summer treat par excellence!

“I have been thinking about the recent GOP opposition to illegal immigrants,” she says.. “I think it is going to cost the GOP the election. I think Obama is too shrewd to buck the Latinos.”

“And you want the Democrats to win?”

‘Of course, but more than that, I want to see a good, stable solution.”

“I thought you favored controlling illegal immigration,” said Noah.

He was surprised by her remark. Her sister from Australia had come to the USA and the immigration process had taken five years and cost his sister-in-law $8,000 in lawyer’s fees. The family had often discussed the Mexican problem, eleven million entering and now living illegally.

“My viewpoint has been shifting since I have been teaching Special Ed,” said Abbey. “A lot of my kids are from illegal families, and some have been in the country as long as seventeen years. So what to do with them now? Pluck them up and send them back to Mexico? Maybe we should not have given the parents driver’s licenses and education and benefits, when the kids first went to school, but those were the good years. We could afford the largess.”

“The problem is we can’t afford it now,” said Noah, “We can’t carry passengers when our own people are struggling.”

“I understand, but America has invested in these people. Noah I really see them as Americans. They see themselves as Americans. We have invested years of work in these children.”

Noah was listening to her intently. “Do you have a solution?” he asks.

“Yes I actually think I do,” she says

“And?”

“It’s like this Noah. Do you remember our discussion in the teacher’s lounge about school rules? Dr. Fowler made the very good point that there is no purpose to creating a rule that cannot be enforced. That is just asking for trouble.”

“And a good point that is,” says Noah.

“Well applying that to the illegal immigrants I just don’t think it is feasible to send eleven million people back over the border.”

“True – and your point’?

“Well, what if the President were to declare an amnesty?”

“Would that be fair to people who came in legally, like your sister?”

“No.”

“I don’t like the idea of immigrants starting off in our country thinking it okay to break the law, Abbey,” says Noah.

“Agreed. So, listen up Noah, what if there were an amnesty but it includes that they have to learn the language and do five or more years of community service?”

“You know I think you are on to something.”

‘Yes, they would do the community work among their own people and that would raise the level of the areas where they live.”

“I like it,” said Noah.

“Should I email Obama about this?”

“You do that. Tell him though, that it applies only to illegal immigrants living in America at this time.”

“And the new ones?”

“They should come with job skills or enough money to start a business and they should  have learned the language before they come.”

“Isn’t that a bit arrogant, forcing them learn our language?”

“English is our national language and I don’t care it could be Spanish, but it happens to be English. We want just one official language. Costs of translating are enormous and this is a money that can better be spent on education. If immigrants want to come to America for the good life, it is probably a good idea to force them to show their colors. Will they contribute after they arrive or be a burden?”

“I see what you are saying,” Abbey said.

She smiled to herself as she drafted her email.  There were some things about Republicans where she did agree. Mostly they had a good handle on the economy.

Just look at it, together they had come up with a really good solution, or that was what she thought. Would Obama agree? She wondered if he was going to be able to get Republicans and Democrats to work together in Washington.

Everywhere she went these days she was seeing Blacks arm-in-arm with Latinos or Caucasians. America was leading the world in Ethnic Diversity. What about Political Diversity? Wouldn’t that be a good PR campaign? PR was the true American Way.

The country needed both viewpoints, Democratic and Republican. Abbey decided that listening to each other without interrupting was the trick; listening and understanding the viewpoint and the message. Even if she didn’t agree with it. They were Americans and America supported Diversity.

Quote for the Day

We will never stop illegal immigration until this country has a comprehensive, realistic immigration policy – Ruben Hinojosa
