Understanding War and Peace

By Griping Grandpa

Here is what I wrote to President-elect Donald Trump on his greatagain.gov website and which may be of interest to our readers as well..

Dear Mr. President-elect,

I agree with most of your statements and I have voted for you, because I too want to see America become great again. While I agree that we need a strong military, we should not become hawkish. During its history as a nation, there have been very few years when America was not involved in some military conflict. Many of these conflicts were started as a result of false flag events or by provoking conflict with other nations.

Currently, our Congress wants to impose a no-fly zone in Syria. Apparently they don’t care if they start World War 3. Russia is fighting ISIS in Syria. Is that not what we want also? Is that not more important than deposing that country’s government? I don’t see any benefit in provoking Russia. And then there is China, which might be willing to waste a billion men!

I understand who benefits from war. The banking elite loves war – they profit from financing both sides of the conflict (at interest and with money created from thin air) and afterwards from loans to repair the damage. The military-industrial complex that President Eisenhower warned us about also profits handsomely. Politicians also like war because it hides their incompetence, raises morale among the people, has them agree to draconian measures and stimulates the economy with the production of war materials.

Personally, I don’t like war and I don’t think any sane person does either. It causes great human suffering and destruction of property. I lived through World War 2 in a Nazi-occupied country and it wasn’t pretty. It is not an experience I would like to repeat. Mr. President-elect, I trust that with your negotiating skills, you will be able to end our current military conflicts and prevent new ones from occurring during your presidency.

Of course, it would be naive to believe that a well-trained and well-equipped military would be sitting idle for long, so I would propose that in addition to their destructive skills, they should also be tasked with constructive work. The military would be of great service in providing disaster relief following natural (or man-made) disasters and with one-time large projects. For instance, they could be put to work building that wall on our Southern border. Foreign governments could request such assistance as well, if prepared to pay for it, in which case our men would tackle the project, get it done and then get out fast.

Understanding Trade

Not all Trade Deals are Good for America

With ObamaTrade the devil is in the details, hidden from Congress & the American people

Why does America seek Trade agreements?  We all agree we are better off if we trade with our neighbors, so what is the deal here?   While many Trade deals are good and put America First with ObamaTrade the American Citizen loses out. It is a lot worse than that though, with ObamaTrade America gives up her sovereignty.

This is serious guys. No vote should be cast on this lightly.

This is a Trade Deal destroys our Sovereignty

This is a Trade Deal destroys our Sovereignty

The TPA was sneaked through the Senate at the end of May 2015, and this was largely a matter of timing. It was put through when all eyes were on Rand Paul and his epic filibuster. Despite feeble efforts to inject it with continuing life, Paul forced the Patriot Act to die an ignoble death. This was something good.

However, there was something else happening in the wings? With a lot of bribe money in his back pocket, Obama was hard and fast working the politicians in Congress to get TPA approved.  And he succeeded. TPA is designed to give the President (and his executive branch) the sole authority to negotiate trade treaties and and in the face of this, Congress becomes almost irrelevant. Not a good scene, the imbalance between the Legislature, the Judiciary and the Executive was already out of whack, and this just made it even worse.

unconstitutionalA lot of money went into getting TPA passed; paid for by the U.S. Business Coalition for TPP. Donors to the Coalition were Goldman Sachs, followed closely by Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and members of the military industrial complex, which included GE, Halliburton and Northrop Grumman. The Coalition bought Senate support for $1,148,971 being given as bribes to senators, an average of $19,673.28 for Republicans and $9,689.23 for Democrats.

TPA was enacted to ensure fast passage TPP, otherwise called ObamaTrade.

Does this tell you anything?

What congressional rights did Congress give up with the passage of TPA?

Congress gave up the power to write legislation, the power to amend legislation, the power to fully examine legislation, the power to predict and investigate the consequences to a specific bill.  In addition Congress gave up the chance to keep debate open until cloture. Most of all Congress gave up the constitutional requirement that Trade-treaties can only be approved  by a full two-thirds vote.

Both Presidential candidates have said they will disapprove ObamaTrade (TPP) However this is a global play, and Clinton if anything, is a global candidate who was for TPP before she was against it.  Still . . .

Obama is back with even more (I suspect) Global bribe money He wants to get TPP approved during the lame duck session. So in order to be sure to get presidential approval he has to get it signed WHILE HE IS STILL PRESIDENT. What better time than around the holidays after all the excitement of the election when nobody is looking. He is still calling the shots, yet nobody is seeing it like that, he has legal power. Expect another titillating controversy to absorb our protest and attention while he sneaks it through.

Why would this would be a disaster?

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is not TPA, that now a done deal. It is a complex and convoluted legislation that has been shrouded in secrecy. Few of the Congressmen who will finally have to ratify it, have even read it.

TPP (ObamaTrade) is a trade agreement among twelve Pacific Rim countries. The finalized proposal was signed on 4 February 2016 in Auckland, New Zealand, concluding seven years of negotiations. However IT IS NOT LAW UNTIL RATIFIED BY CONGRESS in an up down vote which now only has to get a 50% majority.

Donald Trump says, there are good and bad Trade Deals. and this is one abomination. How so? With this new trading block we have something akin to the EU set up, with a bureaucratic stranglehold on true free Trade. True free trade is good, but this is not that.

There is a lot in ObamaTrade that has nothing whatsoever to do with trade:

  1. Strong patent protection rules for Big Pharma. This increases cost of medications globally, putting a burden on the global poor
  2. Changes to the USA copyright law. Under the TPP, copyright terms for individuals would go from life of the author plus 50 years to life of the author plus 70 years.
  3. Worst of all are the International-Investor Tribunals. There are provisions that grant foreign investors the right to sue governments on the basis of vague and broad obligations regarding loss of “expected” profits. Such suits would not be decided by judges appointed for life in the American courts which subordinate to the Constitution. Where special interests appoint both the judge and the jury we can expect arbitrary justice.Let me give an example. It seems Goldman Sachs may have had a part in the crash of the Greek economy (done with currency finagling) So let’s just say the Greek people wake up and elect a new government.  They are good people and want to follow rule of law.

inijustrice

So they investigate the situation and yes they think there are financial crimes. They are quite sure there are financial crimes. They sue

Any chance of them winning? Wake up to the real world, now dominated by TPP. The court finds for Goldman Sachs, after all did they not lose profits?

So we are about to subject our jurisprudence to tribunals appointed by the corporate oligarchies. Might is right and there will be no justice. America has been snookered into losing her sovereignty.

You see Obama Trade operates ABOVE THE CONSTITUTION. With this transfer of authority legislators give up their god given right to do their job as defined by the constitution.

Sadly there is an unhealthy imbalance between the Executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary; ObamaTrade makes this far worse.

jobsAnd finally jobs, jobs, jobs  which just happens to be our weakest area. TPP like NAFTA & TAFTA will steal jobs from good Americans.

Yes Donald Trump, there are good deals and bad deals and this one is an abomination.

 Where to from Here?

So what really happened when TPA was railroaded through the Senate when nobody was looking? Did we lose our country? And what of the everyday citizens and taxpayers of America? Do we still have any of the rights left given us in the Constitution?

The people of America do not like the TPP; polls show this clearly. RINOs beware.  Polls show an overwhelming majority oppose TPP and they are out there on Social Media howling their outrage. Politicians who support TPP should wake up and smell the coffee and vote their conscience and for America and not for their back pocket.

Polls or voting won’t defeat TPP; it’s too far along. It is only if we stand together to oppose this assault on our constitution, our heritage and our rights; if we stand up and speak out, and get right in the face of power, will the people be able to overcome TPP’s plutocracy.

Why Do Attacks On Trump Continue Despite Massive Popular Support?

By Griping Grandpa

Donald Trump has been criticized, attacked and ridiculed, not just by others running for President, but also by members of his own party, who apparently would prefer to see Hillary in the White House.

“Why?” you may ask.

Mr. X

Before I answer that, let me tell you about the person who, for convenience, I call “Mr. X”. Actually, Mr. X is not really one guy; he represents a type of person who cares about little else than accumulating vast amounts of money and power. In truth, there are many such guys. and have been for hundreds, perhaps thousands, of years. A few of them were very successful and floated to the top of the pyramid. Keep that in mind, but for now, let’s stick with the idea of a Mr. X. That’s easier to visualize and focus on.

Mr. X at Work

Mr. X at Work

Mr. X is super rich. How did he get that way? Well, once upon a time, there was a war. Wars are very expensive, you know. You have to pay all those soldiers, buy them uniforms, guns and ammo, as well as feed them. And wars tend to drag on. After a while one side was running out of money and instead of quitting at that time, Mr. X came to the rescue. He ran a bank and was looking after the savings of many people. So he lent them money. “No rush,” he said, “You can pay me back, with interest, after the war.” So it was agreed. Soon afterward the other side also ran out of money, so Mr. X extended the same offer to them. When the war was over, Mr. X scored big. Not only did he have two governments that owed him money and/or favors, but whole cities had to be rebuilt and lots of money was needed for that. Mr. X again came through with new loans at interest.

More wars followed, with Mr. X helping out. He prospered beyond his wildest dreams. Not only did he have heaps of money, he had several governments – the ones that couldn’t pay off the loans – in his pocket. (Kind of silly, if you think about it. The governments shouldn’t have started wars in the first place, but if they did, they didn’t have to borrow money – they could have printed their own.)

Mr. X was very clever, in a fiendish way. He applied four principles to strengthen his wealth and power:
1. Create debt, by lending money at interest. If they can’t pay off the loan, take their property or secure favors.
2. Create scarcity. Wars will do that, as will economic boom-bust cycles. Both of these can be created at will.
3. Create fear. People in fear can’t see what is really going on and become ineffective.
4. Create conflict. The old “divide and conquer” principle, preventing people from handling what really undermines them.

Today, Mr. X still does the banking trick. Here in the US, his job is made quite easy. If you deposit $100 into the bank, Mr. X will lend $1000 (which he doesn’t really have) with interest by writing a check. It’s totally legal. And you wonder why most people are broke. But Mr. X’s influence extends far beyond banking. He’s got his finger in just about every pie: money, energy, agriculture, education, the media, medicine, manufacturing, trade, politics and religion, to name a few. His goal is world domination.

For many years the media dismissed mention of Mr. X as”conspiracy theory” and laughed it off as paranoid imagination, but today we have more than a theory, thanks to Wikileaks and whistle blowers.

Trump

Trump’s plans clash with Mr. X’s agenda. Here are some examples of why Trump does not fit the mold.

1. Trump puts America first. Any rational American would agree that one should put one’s own house in order before trying to change the rest of the world. Mr. X wants a borderless world, which will make it easier to control.

2. Trump wants to boost the economy by renegotiating trade agreements so they are more favorable for America. He wants to bring back American companies that have moved to other countries, which should bring back previously lost jobs and raise prosperity levels. Mr. X does not want a prosperous America. The United States, with its tradition of individual freedom is the greatest obstacle to achieving world domination, so he wants us to struggle and to become more and more dependent on government support.

3. Trump wants to control immigration. He rightly is against illegal immigration, as law-abiding people should be against any illegal activity, and he wants would-be immigrants vetted to ensure they endorse the American way of life. Mr. X wants to bring in vast numbers of refugees from majorly different cultures, so he can divide (Christians vs. Muslims for example) and conquer.

4. Trump wants to return control over education to the States. Mr. X wants the schools to teach his one-world propaganda and keep the students dumb, igmorant, cowed and obedient to authority. Mr. X does not want bright, independent thinkers. Widespread drug use of course helps him with that.

We can’t be sure that Trump, as President, would fulfill all of his promised reforms, but as a billionaire himself, he does not need financial support from Mr. X, which is a big step in the right direction.

We are all complicit, to some degree, in allowing Mr. X’s influence to become so pervasive. We can do something about it by getting out of debt, educating ourselves, spreading the word and not getting involved in any “us vs. them” conflicts.

If you value your (and your children’s) freedom and life and do not want to further Mr. X’s one-world keep-everyone-poor agenda, you know who to vote for.

They try so hard to block Trump’s message

Helping you make sense out of the efforts to “slime Donald J. Trump

shutterstock_177770915

CRC senior vice president Matthew Vadum has an interesting take in FrontPageMag about the mainstream media’s all-out war to destroy GOP nominee Donald Trump. It’s not really about countering Trump’s message. It’s about preventing him from reaching the voters.

As he writes, “The leftist narrative being deployed against Trump is based on lies, half-truths, and nothing-burgers. They don’t even have to make sense. All they have to accomplish is to hold Trump up to ridicule.”

Now that Donald Trump is safely ensconced as the official Republican nominee for president, the mainstream media is running an intense around-the-clock operation to deprive him of the relatively unfiltered media exposure he needs to seal the deal with the American people.

Trump being silly and playful in front of TV cameras or utilizing his sense of humor is cast as evidence of a disordered, antisocial mind. The media is focusing on minor benign details and marketing them as the evil deeds of an evil man. This is by design.

Preventing Trump from communicating effectively with Americans didn’t work so well during the primaries. We will see what happens now.  With Trump, the master communicator whose outreach skills arguably mirror President Obama’s, the message is everything. Squelch his voice and he’s finished.

So Americans are subjected to a buffet of stupid “news” stories that happen to help journalists make their case against Trump. Meeting the Donald head-on wouldn’t work at  all so instead it’s death by a thousand cuts from a thousand mosquito directions.

For example: the fact that a veteran admired Trump so much that he gave a copy of his Purple Heart medal to the candidate who made a lighthearted joke about always wanting to receive the medal (an obvious absurdity since you have to be injured during military service to get it) was twisted to make the case Trump was a draft dodger who hates military families that have lost loved ones in wars.  Trump is at the same time a war monger and a cowards war dodger. Of course, there’s  Barack Obama, the Left’s anti-war president of all time. After being elected Obama didn’t bother to consult Congress before launching an illegal, ill-advised war against Libya’s Muammar Qaddafi. Now LIbya is an unholy mess, and the American people are getting refugees they do not want.

At the DNC according to the wrathful Khizr Khan Trump has sacrificed nothing, so he needs to shut up.

That is what it is all about, shutting up Trump.

Trump’s run-in with the sleazy immigration lawyer is still receiving media attention. The lie that Trump attacked Khan’s hero son who died in Iraq won’t die. It’s taken on a life of its own and hardened into fact in the minds of many.

Yet the media ignores the fact that Hillary Clinton let four men die in Benghazi, Libya, when U.S. facilities came under terrorist attack, and then lied to the surviving family members’ faces, blaming an anti-Islam YouTube video nobody saw. The media also avoids providing a body count for the Arab Spring that Clinton inflicted on North Africa and the Middle East. Trump gets creamed by the media no matter what he says or does.

After playfully tolerating an infant’s crying from the podium at a rally, Trump eventually asked the mother to remove the baby from an event. That’s what decent people do. It’s called politeness. At CNN’s website MoveOn mom Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner berates Trump, claiming he was mocking the mother. Trump doesn’t realize “that when he throws a baby out, the metaphorical bathwater can’t be ignored.” This garden-variety humorless left-wing feminist used the opportunity to blather on about equal pay, how women outnumber men in this country, and the need for crazy-expensive big government programs like paid family parental leave.

To the Left what Trump did is a grievous offense against civility and social norms, yet Clinton’s communistic blueprint It Takes A Village, calls for the state “to teach, train and raise children,” adding that “[p]arents have a secondary role.” Put Hillary in the White House and she’ll solve the problem of crying babies by terminating parental rights. After all, that’s what she says in her book.

Trump & Manafort are attacked for being pro Russia yet Clinton is much closer to Russia than Trump . She even cut bad deals with that country to hand over a big chunk of American uranium to the Kremlin.

Journalists are engaging in all this mischief because they are acutely aware that if Trump can somehow penetrate the massive propaganda force-field the mainstream media has erected around his campaign, the party is over. The thinking among the media and the Left – but I repeat myself – is that if they can keep strategically placing nasty little booby-traps in the undisciplined candidate’s path they can keep him off-message and floundering long enough to get would-be federal inmate Hillary Clinton across the finish line on Nov. 8.

trump promiseOn the other hand if Trump can reach voters with his tremendously popular message of law and order, immigration enforcement and border security, and mostly pro-growth economic policies, he wins – convincingly – in a year of political populism and anti-establishment anger.

Understanding Trump Leadership

When Tragedy hits, Good to have a Good Man at the Helm (Updated September 2017)

Top marks to Trump Team for working together to resolve this Harvey crisis. We see Ben Carson hard at repairing homes and providing shelter for those in need;
Rick Perry protecting our pipelines and keeping the gas pumping at the stations; and Mike Pence in the trenches with his wife comforting those hit by the storm.

harvey-damage

The recovery in Texas will be driven by the faith-based community as they exert what is best about Christian values of compassion and community and help to those in need.

“We’re watching a very, very thoughtful, well-orchestrated effort in the face of a massive, massive storm that Mother Nature has thrown the state of Texas.” said Rick Perry.

Team Trump decided to tap the oil reserve following the shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline, which normally carries a huge amount of gasoline between Houston and the East Coast. Rick Perry reassured the nation that the Colonial Pipeline outage is driven by limited gasoline supplies, not damage to the pipeline itself. Keeping the gas flowing is vital to the economic recovery. High prices at the pump would be counter-productive to the Harvey recovery.

What we are seeing is a supremely competent, well orchestrated response to a big, national disaster; amazing team effort and support from the Governor of Texas for the Trump relief efforts.

What may not be appreciated is the vital role our President is playing in making this all happen.  He has been criticized for not going to Houston and commiserating with those who have lost much.It was a correct call to stay HIGH and coordinate the relief effort.   It is my guess that he is on the phones pulling it together and fascinating some of the questions we hear he is asking. Trump is a builder and we are grateful to have his building expertise as he pulls this together. Believe me the next time a monster storm hits, the damage is going to be less. Trump thinks in futures. He shows his caring, by sacrificing his border wall and reaching out to Democrats to fund the recovery.

Shame on those who have criticized a President who is making it go right. The one thing to realize is that this president  always elects his decisions based on the greatest good.

The demonization continues even while the country reels from a natural disaster. Whatever Trump does they will find him wrong.  He cannot do anything right. They project their swamp-dwelling condition onto him.

America’s crisis is a moral one. America (and the world) is looking to find its moral compass.

election-2016

America’s Third Crisis
Since its founding, America has faced three crises, the first was when we won our independence from the tyranny of a British King who was denying representative government.

The second, the Civil War was designed to divide North from South and challenged slavery. It was also this war that should have put an end to racism and may have until inverse racism began to be exploited politically.

The founding fathers envisioned a limited Federal Government with explicit and restricted responsibilities. The role of government was to protect the security of the nation and to keep the domestic peace and safety. With a rot in Federal education, most citizens no longer understand the meaning of “Conservative” or “Republic” or “Progressive” or “Liberal” or “Socialist”. There is also a big confusion between “human rights” and “natural rights”. Natural rights are God-given, the right of every citizen to equal opportunity under law and the protection of person and property.

Note well: a citizen’s standard of living is not protected under the American constitution. Each citizen is expected to go out and learn a trade and go to work for self, family and the country.

Our democratic process was designed to resolve BIG ideological differences. It has kept us away from civil war. It would have done so again were we not subverted and divided by evil influences.  Against a backdrop of the traditional conflict between Republican and Progressive ideas we have new challenges to the American Liberty & Prosperity. There is growing circumstantial evidence of infiltration of the SOROS/Obama/Hillary and the Progressive movement by the Muslim Brotherhood – an orchestrated world movement to change our culture and bring the western world to its knees, under Sharia Law.

We see this in:

  • The Iran Deal (Kerry’s son in law is an Iranian doctor)
  • Why “Muslim Brother” Keith Ellingson is the “chosen” new leader of the Democratic Party.
  • Why Obama & Kerry failed to protect our ally Israel from censor by the Security Council at the U.N.

Note: America is now at #4 on this chart while England at #7.

Historically the Arab nations have demonstrated poverty, inequality oppression and a lack of individual freedom and were no threat to America. THEN CAME OIL. THEN CAME 9/11. Then came a troubling flow of money into our educational institutions. Now on the international stage we have a resurgent Islam, dominated by ISIS and the sophisticated Muslim Brotherhood a movement that has grown since the “Arab Spring”.

The Trump camp (by observation) is clean and sees this danger clearly but (again by observation) it seems Brotherhood tentacles have penetrated the Democrats who refuse the connection between Muslim & Islam.  Obama refuses to use the words “Radical Islam.”

The degree of turmoil in America at this time is a clear indication that there have been efforts to subvert us.

Also a danger to America is INTERNATIONAL MARXISM. Obama was featured on the cover of the official magazine for International Socialism.
In the planned subversive actions of the SOROS Foundations, we see enemy action. MoveON Soros/paid agitators at Trump rallies are not trying to build up America. These are criminal, enemy actions.  We are witnessing efforts to overwhelm us with Middle Eastern refugees (their aggression fostered in the family and encouraged in the mosque). We see it In the conflicts, the violence and chaos that we are witnessing in our social order, and in the structures and cultures of the western nations of Europe.

Is the final goal to subvert, dominate and then exploit America?  Are there those intent on destroying our religions, our institutions, our constitution, and our families? Sadly Socialism, Marxism, & Communism are all highly attractive to the immoral and out of touch oligarchies who run the world.

Let’s put this all into perspective:
Technology opened the door to global trade. This lifted government up and out of the traditional American system of checks and balances. America still has the remnants of a good constitutional system, but it has been sorely compromised.

Technology gave rise to unchecked international banking monopolies, which is what is fueling the rising income inequality. corporate greedGlobal Elites and GOP Party Elites (in the game for power) were forced back into a corner by the Trump movement. Why is this? Trump is surely no angel, but he is rich in his own right. What the Elites hate most about him is that he cannot be bought. In 2016 America was put off by all the rotten “bribe” money pouring into the Clinton coffers. Many of these donors make their money gaming a rigged system.

As Trump begins to govern, he has a great freedom. Until the Swamp is drained the corrupt will fight him all the way.

Main-stream Media owned by Oligarchies?
Somewhere along the line the Press got owned by the corrupt international oligarchies who began to dictate the narrative. Some Americans, getting their political data only from TV, have not yet realized the bias. Trump was forced to bypass the crooked media to get his message out to the American public. Sadly although elected, he is still doing this, for over the last eight years, Americans have not been educated on “Constitutional and/or Electoral Basics”.Add to this are the pernicious political lies from corrupt political candidates and consultants.   Call it liberal or progressive, or Crony Capitalism, Corrupt Banks, or GOP Establishment, the truth is it boils down to “authoritarian coercive might is right” vs “consent of the governed”. Trump stands for the latter, loud & clear.

Many not buying into the “Fake News” narrative.  Google and FaceBook have already evolved too far for coercive or restrictive censorship to win. There is a lot of love for Trump out there.

free ride

Illegal Immigrants
The eleven million illegals  already living in America are not a problem of Trump’s making, but he has shown willingness to get the problem fixed within the rule of law.

He is not against Latinos, any more than he is against women, against gays, against blacks or AGAINST anybody.  What he is saying is often taken out of context.

Relevant to the immigrant problem is immigrant welfare. Trump has a good fiscal compass. He knows a country as deeply in debt as we, cannot survive. Can we afford to carry this burden.

Trump stands for rule of law, for the constitution and for military strength and for PEACE. Proof of this is the fine spiritual people he has chosen on his team. There is no way the sincerely religious Mike Pence or Dr. Ben Carson would let him walk us into more, corrupt imperial wars.

We need a president who, like our founder George Washington, was aggressive in the degree to fight for what is right, but who has the moral restraint to create a true and lasting legacy.

Trump’s favorite past-president is Jackson.  Like Jackson Trump has the moral compass, the social relationships & strength to stand up to the global rich. Will he succeed? Only time will tell. He does give us a chance and  nobody else has done that in a long, long time. It seems the world is at a tipping point.

Why we cannot Trust Hillary with our Foreign Policy

Hillary Rejects ‘
America First’

By Patrick J. Buchanan

Clinton to Paint Trump as a Risk to World Order.”

The Global Elite
Thus did page one of Thursday’s New York Times tee up Hillary Clinton’s big San Diego speech on foreign policy.

Inside the Times, the headline was edited to underline the point:

“Clinton to Portray Trump as Risk to the World.”

The Times promoted the speech as “scorching,” a “sweeping and fearsome portrayal of Mr. Trump, one that the Clinton campaign will deliver like a drumbeat to voters in the coming months.”

What is happening here?

As Donald Trump is splitting off blue-collar Democrats on issues like America’s broken borders and Bill Clinton’s trade debacles like NAFTA, Hillary Clinton is trying to peel off independents and Republicans by painting Trump as “temperamentally unfit” to be commander in chief.

Clinton contends that a Trump presidency would be a national embarrassment, that his ideas are outside the bipartisan mainstream of U.S. foreign policy, and that he is as contemptuous of our democratic allies as he is solicitous of our antidemocratic adversaries.

In portraying Trump as an intolerable alternative, Clinton will find echoes in the GOP establishment and among the Kristol-Kagan neocons, many of whom have already signed an open letter rejecting Trump.

William Kristol has recruited one David French to run on a National Review-Weekly Standard line to siphon off just enough votes from the GOP nominee to tip a couple of swing states to Clinton.

Robert Kagan contributed an op-ed to a welcoming Washington Post saying the Trump campaign is “how fascism comes to America.”

Yet, if Clinton means to engage on foreign policy, this is not a battle Trump should avoid. For the lady has an abysmal record on foreign policy and a report card replete with failures.

PathillaryAs senator, Clinton voted to authorize President Bush to attack and invade a nation, Iraq, that had not attacked us and did not want war with us.

Clinton calls it her biggest mistake, another way of saying that the most important vote she ever cast proved disastrous for her country, costing 4,500 U.S. dead and a trillion dollars.

That invasion was the worst blunder in U.S. history and a contributing factor to the deepening disaster of the Middle East, from which, it appears, we will not soon be able to extricate ourselves.

As secretary of state, Clinton supported the unprovoked U.S.-NATO attack on Libya and joked of the lynching of Moammar Gadhafi, “We came. We saw. He died.”

Yet, even Barack Obama now agrees the Libyan war was started without advance planning for what would happen when Gadhafi fell. And that lack of planning, that failure in which Clinton was directly involved, Obama now calls the worst mistake of his presidency.

Is Clinton’s role in pushing for two wars, both of which resulted in disasters for her country and the entire Middle East, something to commend her for the presidency of the United States?

Is the slogan to be, “Let Hillary clean up the mess she helped to make?”

Whether or not Clinton was complicit in the debacle in Benghazi, can anyone defend her deceiving the families of the fallen by talking about finding the evildoer who supposedly made the videotape that caused it all?

Even then, she knew better.

How many other secretaries of state have been condemned by their own inspector general for violating the rules for handling state secrets, for deceiving investigators, and for engaging, along with that cabal she brought into her secretary’s office, in a systematic stonewall to keep the department from learning the truth?

Where in all of this is there the slightest qualification, other than a honed instinct for political survival, for Clinton to lead America out of the morass into which she, and the failed foreign policy elite nesting around her, plunged the United States?

If Trump will stay true to his message, he can win the foreign policy debate, and the election, because what he is arguing for is what Americans want.

They do not want any more Middle East wars. They do not want to fight Russians in the Baltic or Ukraine, or the Chinese over some rocks in the South China Sea.

They understand that, as Truman had to deal with Stalin, and Ike with Khrushchev, and Nixon with Brezhnev, and Reagan with Gorbachev, a U.S. president should sit down with a Vladimir Putin to avoid a clash neither country wants, and from which neither country would benefit.

The coming Clinton-neocon nuptials have long been predicted in this space. They have so much in common. They belong with each other.

But this country will not survive as the last superpower if we do not shed this self-anointed role as the “indispensable nation” that makes and enforces the rules for the “rules-based world order,” and that acts as first responder in every major firefight on earth.

What Trump has hit upon, what the country wants, is a foreign policy designed to protect the vital interests of the United States, and a president who will — ever and always — put America first.

Note from Grandma Thunder

Two things to think about regarding American Foreign Policy

The world is a mess, economically and politically. Persons of goodwill and those who can see, know that the next president inherits a foreign policy disaster.

In 2016 with Donald Trump with America First, we finally have a chance to fix it up

“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” Gutle Schnaper. –Mayer Amschel Rothschild’s wife.

Hillary has a cozy, close relationship with the Rothchilds, a family that has profited from war over the last century.

Kissinger & the constitutionMore than any other person, the un-American, evil  Henry Kissinger has defined American foreign policy over the last half century.

“The Illegal we do immediately – the un-constitutional takes a little longer” said Kissinger.

Hillary has a cozy, close relationship with Henry Kissinger.

Of the two candidates based on their record and their connections and their emotional tone, it seems more likely that Hillary would lead us into war than Donald Trump.

We keep our fingers crossed and keep them both in our prayers.

Will the Debates influence the Election Outcome?

It seems to us that Main Stream Media has forgotten we have a country in trouble and this is the time for all men of good will to work together to turn it around and fix it up.

Genuine emotion, is it a factor in an election?

Although not reported thus by MSM, Hillary lost the first debate because she was supercilious, smug and took her campaign down into the gutter.  Small minded Lester Holt must also be held accountable for wasting our time on trivia; beauty queens and the silly birther issue long ago settled. I am speaking on behalf of independents and new voters.

Our Future

    Our Future

Breaking news: Hillary Clinton is taking no responsibility for the plight of millennials.

I quote from Breitbart News: “Some are new to politics completely. They’re children of the Great Recession. And they are living in their parents’ basement,” Clinton adds. “They feel they got their education and the jobs that are available to them are not at all what they envisioned for themselves. And they don’t see much of a future.”

She continues, “If you’re feeling like you’re consigned to, you know, being a barista, or you know, some other job that doesn’t pay a lot, and doesn’t have some other ladder of opportunity attached to it, then the idea that maybe, just maybe, you could be part of a political revolution is pretty appealing.”

Of course what is omitted is Bill’s complicity in the Crash of 2008, and her own support of the Iraq war. These are the two events that stole away the opportunity and future from the New Millennials.

Examine these mind blowing facts

Ben Carson, Donald Trump and on the other side of the aisle, Bernie Sanders are for the people, and intend to create a more equitable society for all.

 About Bad Lobbying:

corporate greed

About Bad Banking

Ex President Jimmy Carter called America an oligarchy with unlimited bribery. Definition of oligarchy: a government in which a small group of elites, exercises control for corrupt and selfish purposes.  (Merriam Webster)

The international socialist cabal operating behind the scenes in the White House, and the corrupt crony capitalists working on K Street, and the Banking Oligarchies working with the FED, are NOW running scared because it seems they fear they cannot bribe Trump and Carson or Sanders or bring them to heel.

third partyFor a decade or more they have persuaded conservatives to NOT increase taxes on the banking class; never tax the rich. That is true, but only if you are talking about the productive rich. There is a significant difference between facilitating production (making things) and the casino-like profits made by banksters and investors. There has been much concern about the dwindling middle class. This inequity won’t be handled until the economic “rules of the game” no longer unfairly benefit bankers and investors.

What would happen to the Global Elites if Bernie were able to redistribute the wealth of the one percent? What would happen to them if Trump were able to stop up these corrupt laws that protect their rigged privilege?

Bernie favors taxing the rich to provide for free education, and free healthcare for all. This little man is gutsy, honest and he cares for the American voter – just one glitch in his plan. Thanks to the Digital Revolution the rich now take and hide their wealth in little hidden pockets all over the globe; in places far outside the jurisdiction of the IRS. Trump calls on the “investor class” to account for their unfair share of the assets in the economy. Trump understands they do not exchange value for value and he has promised to undo their false privilege. He will reform Wall Street.

There is a real simple FIX to both the housing stress and the Student loan crisis:
CONGRESS MUST CANCEL BANKING COMPOUND INTEREST and we need a president who would sign this reform legislation.  No chance for that to happen if Clinton is president – she favors the elite (banksters) over we the people.  But with Trump who like Bernie is not beholden to the banking crowd there is hope. Bernie tried, he tried hard but he failed. We have to wonder what they have on him.

What is the difference between these two candidates?

  • Bernie feels for the Latinos Trump concerned about taxes and the  economy, while wants to send back home illegal Latinos.
  • Bernie wants to tax the rich and fund good things like education. Nice but what is the point if no jobs after graduation?
  • Trump wants to reform Wall Street and BRING BACK JOB OPPORTUNITY.
Trump is more focused on an economic recovery

How interesting it would have been to have debate BETWEEN TWO HONEST CANDIDATES EACH WITH TRUE FOLLOWING (Bernie said would need an enormous arena – right)  Both Trump and Bernie stand for something and both have a true following.  Both have a true moral compass and both genuinely want to fix Wall Street. Both care about America and Americans and the future. Both are focused on education. On the other side of the aisle we have the globalists

Do you wonder why globalists are so desperate to have crooked Hillary elected? Do you see why it would be such a bad idea?

Over the last half century the corrupt corporate and banking spoils have been enormous, especially in 2008 when the banks, and the auto industry were bailed out. The FED even used American taxpayer money to bail out foreign banks.  And what has been the consequence? The big banks are now bigger than ever before. The American taxpayer is at much or more at risk NOW than 2008 after eight years of Obama. Neither Hillary nor phony Obama have a good production record.

Obama's legacy

The attack on Ben Carson (before he dropped out) is interesting. Ben Carson came out and said clearly in one debate that HE WOULD NOT BAIL OUT THE BANKS. Since Ben Carson joined Trump, his influence is now even bigger. Ben Carson is Black and being successful in the GOP, calls the “racist” lie. How can Donald Trump use Ben Carson as one of his main advisers, and he is black? No Trump is not a racist, ample proof to the contrary.

Do you see what we are really talking about here a whole lot of money up for grabs. We are also talking about an elite corporate industry, an international pharmaceutical industry and banking industries with no moral compass. And one more point when talking NWO, Soros’s hand in world affairs may be unknown to some. He is best known for manipulating the overthrow of Slobadan Milosivicin 2000, the “Rose Revolution” of 2003 and the 2006 push of Turkey into Sharia law. He works with paid agitators at political rallies. Go figure?

Bernie’s weakness was his connection to Soros, th violence of Black Lives Matter.  and Moveon.Org funded by Soros rejected by most millennials.

Many Americans do not know about the secretive New World Order but they are waking up. Hillary is a very secretive person. You have to realize that she was carefully chosen by the elites to be president in 2016. According to (Open Secrets Blog) she promised Goldman Sachs, banking as usual. Is this why she won’t release the transcripts of her speeches?

As we move from spring into the summer of 2016, the gloves are finally off. Obama and Bill and Hillary are openly talking New World Order, an order with no constitution or balance of power and not grounded in any kind of moral code. All indications are it will be coercive. At every turn these global elites fight our first and second constitutional amendments. They are using the simple and genuine progressives to do their dirty deeds.

There will be no end to the attack on Trump & even Ben Carson in the media until they crumble and creep back into the mold, and until we all slide back into poverty.

Bernie is gone. They would not even let his signs be displayed at the Democratic Convention. They put up “white sound boxes” to make sure there were no Bernie protesters giving the wrong message. By selecting Tim Kaine Hillary signaled to the Bernie crowd reforming Wall Street is not a part of her agenda. Axelrod is now part of CNN a donor for the Hillary campaign. So much for the objectivity of the press.

They won’t cease their ugly attacks until the Global elites, the Democratic Elites, and the GOP Elites get back the comfort of banking as usual and politics as usual.

If Hillary wins there will be more income inequality.

If Trump wins there is just a small chance there will be an economic recovery.

Political Lies – How they Serve the Corrupt

(June/July  2017)

I feel sorry for the poor CNN journalists, caught as they are between a rock and a hard place. After all they are only following global orders.

Their long-term survival lies in following the truth.

Here is the elite agenda.

How we are controlled

The elites have for some time perfected the art of winning elections. It is done by spin, negative attack ads , voter fraud, but most of all by DIVIDE AND RULE.

About Big, Bad Banking
Ex President Jimmy Carter called America an oligarchy with unlimited bribery. Definition of oligarchy: a government in which a small group of elites, exercises control for corrupt and selfish purposes.  (Merriam Webster)

The international socialist cabal operating behind the scenes, the corrupt crony capitalists working through K Street, and the ever growing bigger Banking Oligarchies working with and through the FED, are scared because (so far) they have been unable to pull the strings on Donald Trump. Much of the noise and lots of of the trouble in politics is coming from the BIG multi billion donors or secretive PACs and political consultants paid megabucks by the mega-rich who no longer have their finger on the pulse.

In a digital age even Hollywood is at risk, for  they have relied on the force of government to protect an unfair privilege. To get our entertainment we can now make our own movies, write and publish our own books and songs. Trump is hated by the “bought” media who once upon a time controlled the narrative, no longer.  Realize just how much money is at stake, once upon a time the press could tell BIG BUSINESS that they dominated your thinking. They cannot do that any more and they are lashing out at Trump, for who else should they blame? Never themselves.

Donald Trump breaks up the relationship between BIG money, BIG business and BIG government. We love him for this but he is hated by the elites because they cannot control or buy him.

Jacob Rothchild  even came out of the closet to say, “Donald Trump endangers the New World Order”  and yes he does, not because he is bad or mean, it is because it is the globalists who have the most to lose from “America First”. I think the elites have enjoyed an unfair advantage throughout the industrial age and that is long enough. Unfortunately they now tend to think that this is the natural order. For decades they have been able to buy political candidates and politicians. The election in Georgia has shown America and the world that, that time is over.

I think people should think freely, that people should be able to choose freely, how about you?

About Bad TV.
The press is very adept at putting a spin on things.  Political consultants aim to “smear” the opponent and sadly the press (who should be guardians of the truth) are letting them get away with it  Elections have been won or lost by just how well the opponent is being mis-defined. The art of the attack ad was created by GOP Karl Rove in daddy-bush days, but perfected in 2008 & 2012 by the Democrats

Definition of black propaganda – with lies and innuendo seeking to destroy another’s reputation.  Dr Ben has faulty memory, Trump is anti-women, Trump is too-much-for women, Trump is racialist,  Trump is Hitler, Trump is anti-Muslim, Trump is anti-Latino. Spot the lies by the generalities.

Russo-phobia

trump-russia

Informed Americans know that Russo-phobia is FAKE. Like Donald Trump, Putin is no golden boy, but he is different from those who came before him in Russia. He has seen through communism, knows it doesn’t work, he now supports orthodox Christianity and sovereign nations. Putin is funny about Russo-phobia. He raises an eyebrow and says, “Do you really think I, Putin, am able to influence your American elections? Are you not a Super Power? ” He makes a good point. It was the Obama administration’s job to secure the integrity of the voting. Clinton supporters should be mad at Obama, not Putin.  The voter fraud of 2012 & 2016 has now been proven by Judicial Watch and it had much to do with illegals voting, not much to do with Russia which is proving out to be a nothing-burger.

Russo-phobia is filled with generalities and like all generalities the clever voter spots that they are partly or largely FALSE. Truth is very specific.

Sadly there has been bad blood between America and Russia for a long, long time and Putin has to be dealt with from a position of strength. Trump understands this. He is no pawn in Putin’s chess game.  Have to ask, is this FAKE NEWS narrative and the exaggerated Russo-phobia a ruse to make sure Putin & Trump NEVER reach detente? For I tell you, if they do, the global war games and the global banking scam-game is OVER.

Shadow Government
Is the unrest after the 2016 election  orchestrated? Of the corrupt, global, political donors, the very worst is the fascist George Soros.

shadow-gvt

Climate Change
Trump has great bullshit antenna. He called out the international community who were set to rob us blind, with the Paris Climate agreement.

Do you want to pay a city tax, a county tax a sales tax, a value added tax, a State Tax , a Federal Tax AND A GLOBAL CARBON TAX?

The sad part about this climate agreement is that the money would have been going to corrupt bureaucrats and not even reach the good people who can fix the bad use of land and the rape of trees or to honestly police carbon emissions.  Real climate help comes from bypassing the corrupt governments of third world countries and dealing with those who honestly want to fix the problem. A perfect example is PermaCulture.

Climate is in God’s hands and it has been changing for millennia.

Justice has been blind for the last eight years. We should demand that congress polices those who knowingly and deliberately create upset and dissent between us.

This revolution is not about the Elephants vs the Donkeys it is about “We the People”, honest grassroots movements, vs the Establishment

In Conclusion:
America is the land of the free. England is where rule of law has its roots. Support our dual heritage.

Be savvy, double check your facts, be suspicious of a press that stirs up controversy, look for the ugly generalities, understand the corrupt economics of the situation.

Follow the money. You can find the figures at opensecrets.org  In this crazy time every American owes it to himself to do due diligence and to conduct his own research.

Also restudy, as I am now doing – our Constitution to give yourself an anchor and to get in your own political basics.

3-branches-of-govt

NOTE: The press is reporting on the people who have the courage to stand up to lead us. How badly in these troubled times do we need good people to lead us but how very badly the freaking Press, wants to tear them down.

I don’t think Donald Trump is going to crumble.

Quote for the Day

“On January 21st of 2017, the day after I take the oath of office, Americans will finally wake up in a country where the laws of the United States are enforced.

We are going to be considerate and compassionate to everyone. But my greatest compassion will be for our own struggling citizens.”

The Amazing Story of Iceland

Can we too, bring Prosperity back to America by following the Proven Example of Iceland?

What the banking sector doesn’t want known, is that there has been an economic recovery in Iceland BUT ONLY after they let their banks fail and prosecuted their more corrupt bankers. Is this why the press has been almost completely silent about Iceland?

bank on cracking iceBefore the crash of 2008, Iceland was one of the richest little countries in the world. In 2003, where before they had relied on fishing and tourism, they decided to privatize their banks and the little country became the latest “haven” for investing money, like the Cayman Islands. These Icelandic banks were able to attract online foreign investors (especially from England and Holland) because of few regulations and minimal costs. These accounts were called Icesave and soon they became the in-thing.

Unfortunately as more and more money flowed into the banks, those running the banks began to use this money to play the world markets. More money was racked up in debt than the money coming into the country. There was little oversight or control put in by Congress. It went sour in 2008 during the global financial crash and the top three banks went belly up. Please note: the money being used to play the markets was investor money and/or deposits that should have been held in trust by the banks.

The European shark-debtors moved in, demanding payment of three and a half million Euros, (each Icelander was to pay 100 euros a month for fifteen years at 5.5% interest). Riots and protests seemed just around the corner.

 What happened next was extraordinary!

Their president (Olafur Ragnar Grimsson) differentiated between the banks and the nation; he challenged the fond held banking belief that an entire nation should be taxed to pay off the private debts of a corrupt and failing banking institution. He argued that the problem was not just an “economic and financial challenge”, but a “profound social, political, and even judicial” problem. Of course things needed to be straightened out, but most of all, it was the banks needed the correction. He began to tackle the problems one at a time. (This went against “the prevailing economic orthodoxies of the American, European and IMF model) He began to handle the situation by first taking the decision to the people in a referendum; 93% of the people chose not to assume the bank’s debt.  In fact they voted three times, same result. (Handling it thus was a clever move as Iceland has a democratic rule that goes back to the Vikings. (930)

Supported by the people and a newly elected government, their President held a full and complete judicial investigation. The banks were nationalized, it is true there was inflation had to be contained and the krone was devalued. In this ethics investigation, the target was the banks, and not the country.  In Iceland these are seen as different things. The country is not the banks and the banks are not the country.

The IMF froze all Icelandic loans but Iceland held firm. It was a stressful time while the country unraveled their banking mess.

When the U.K. and Holland demanded money of the citizenry for English and Dutch Icesave accounts, again the people of Iceland held firm.  It was the bankrupt banks held this debt and not the country or its people. Their refusal sparked a major international incident. Iceland was threatened with international anti-terrorism legislation. Yet through all of this they held firm.  Finally the IMF came round and gave them a loan.

The new government launched a full civil and penal investigation into those responsible for the prior financial crisis of 2008. They are still going ahead in Iceland to indict 90 banker/investors for fraud. All three former chief executives of Iceland’s three big banks are facing criminal charges. Two ex CEOs have been incarcerated.

It didn’t end there. The government went ahead and drafted a new constitution, a constitution that would free its people from the exaggerated power of international finance and virtual money and an unbacked currency. This was a real exercise in democracy while the nation participated fully in the drafting of the new constitution via social media where comments and suggestions were encouraged. All men of good will in Iceland came together in a POWER OF ONE and with this working unity; they have prevailed and overcome the attack on their sovereignty, and resolved their economy.

Their president Olafur says, “I have never understood the argument — why a private bank or financial fund is somehow better for the well being and future of the economy than the industrial sector, the IT sector, the creative sector, or the manufacturing sector”. He blamed the huge growth of Iceland’s banking sector on the prevailing European banking philosophy and incompetent rating agencies.

Iceland1Now freed from the finance industry, Iceland relies not only on its cleaned up banking, but even more on its creative and intellectual capital, and its unique geographical situation.

It all seems to be working. They have paid off their IMF loans ahead of time.

Unemployment is down.  GDP is up and inflation has been brought under control.  The country is calm and happy.

Olafur says, “Europe is and should be more about democracy than about financial markets. Based with this choice, it was in the end, clear that I had to choose democracy.”

Could we adopt the Icelandic solution in America, putting democracy ahead of banking clout? Would this not go a long way to making America Great Again?

Quote for the Week

Fraud

According to the Collins English Dictionary 10th Edition fraud can be defined as: “deceit, trickery, sharp practice, or breach of confidence, perpetrated for profit or to gain some unfair or dishonest advantage”.  In the broadest sense, a fraud is an intentional deception made for personal gain or to damage another individual; the related adjective is fraudulent. The specific legal definition varies by legal jurisdiction. Fraud is a crime, and also a civil law violation.

The high cost of illegal immigration

This problem has yet to be solved.

900 teachers just got laid off from the Los Angeles Unified School District.

The following by an English teacher helps to explain one area that looms large over California’s educational crisis.

FROM A CALIFORNIA SCHOOL TEACHER – – –
“As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:

kid crying

I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a large Southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its students average lower socioeconomic and income levels. Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park , etc., where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.

Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. When I say free breakfast, I’m not talking a glass of milk and a roll — but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make the Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK!)

I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones. The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids

I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new computers for the computer learning center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America

I have had to intervene several times for young substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less than 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them putas (whores ) and throwing things, that the teachers were in tears.

To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs.

Americans, We need to wake up!

The problem here is a all about culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15, and that refuses to assimilate, and an American culture that has become so weak and worried about “political correctness” that we don’t have the will to put in proper control.

BUSINESS DOESN’T WANT TO PAY A DECENT WAGE.

CONSUMERS DON’T WANT EXPENSIVE PRODUCE.

GOVERNMENT WILL TELL YOU, “AMERICANS DON’T WANT THE JOBS.”

But the bottom line is cheap labor. The phrase “cheap labor” is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as “cheap labor.” Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children. He takes a job for $5.00 or $6.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an “earned income credit” of up to $3,200 free.

HE QUALIFIES FOR SECTION 8 HOUSING AND SUBSIDIZED RENT.

HE QUALIFIES FOR FOOD STAMPS.

HE QUALIFIES FOR FREE (NO DEDUCTIBLE), NO CO-PAY) HEALTH CARE.

HIS CHILDREN GET FREE BREAKFASTS AND LUNCHES AT SCHOOL.

HE REQUIRES BILINGUAL TEACHERS AND BOOKS.

HE QUALIFIES FOR RELIEF FROM HIGH ENERGY BILLS.

IF THEY ARE OR BECOME AGED, BLIND OR DISABLED, THEY QUALIFY FOR SSI.

ONCE QUALIFIED FOR SSI THEY CAN QUALIFY FOR MEDICARE.

TAXPAYERS PROVIDE SPANISH LANGUAGE SIGNS, BULLETINS AND PRINTED MATERIAL.

THEN ALSO WE NEED TO PAY FOR CLEAN-UP OF THE GRAFFITI AND THE TRASH CLEANUP.

HE AND HIS FAMILY RECEIVE THE EQUIVALENT OF $20.00 TO $30.00/HOUR IN BENEFITS.

WORKING AMERICANS ARE LUCKY TO HAVE $5.00 OR $6.00/HOUR LEFT AFTER PAYING ALL OF THEIR BILLS AND HIS.

CHEAP LABOR?  YEAH RIGHT!  WAKE UP PEOPLE!

                   Quote for the Week

Secure our borders first. Let us know and let us make sure the American people know that we’re taking care of the important business of dealing with the illegal immigration into this country. You cannot begin to address the concerns of the people who are already here unless and until you have made certain that no more are coming in behind them.

Expect the Best, but prepare for the Worst

Are banks buying politicians in an effort to keep an unfair privilege?
(See contributions to Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton)  Too many voters have their heads like ostriches in the sand.

money in 2016Seeing their darling on the left (Hillary) hit the skids and their favorite on the right (Jeb Bush) in sad decline, the reaction of the banking industry reminds me of a cat I once had.
She was placid, until one morning some dogs backed her into a corner. Then she lost it.

You only have to watch some of the Club for Growth negative ads to wonder if they have lost it.  Don’t they realize they are on the wrong side of history. 2016 is the year when the negative ads finally stop working. This 2016 electorate wants positive, STRONG solutions.

Now this cat, she bit and clawed and screeched and pounced and even although we saved her, she was never the same again.  She was irascible, unpredictable and mean. Possibly this had been her basic personality all along.

So the big question is, are the banking elites frightened that their unfair privilege is about to come to an end? Is this becoming a vital factor in Election 2016? Are the statists and now the conservative elites (crony capitalists)  frightened because they can’t buy Trump?

There is a situation here that the next President will have to face, and it is going to take a very strong man (Trump or Cruz) to bring us through.

Hello! It is finally time to face the facts of this economy.

No, it is not all doom and gloom, it is a situation that can still be fixed but only if we choose wisely in the next election.

In a nutshell here is the situation:  In spite of a bottomless pit of FED money creation, the debt is unsustainable; the “created” income inequality is finally being seen and understood by voters and they are resenting the injustice.. Stop gap measures to settle out the protest  like food stamps are only making matters worse.  Past efforts by the banksters to pin the blame elsewhere are no longer working. On Twitter and Facebook we learn that with the crash of 2008, only the immediate danger was handled but ethics and correction and reorganization NEVER WENT IN. All the money printed by the FED to bail out the banks, and to “stimulate the economy” didn’t go to the people; it went right back to the banks. The biggest danger: derivatives  could be the next bubble to pop and make life mighty hard on main street.

inijustrice

We are going to have to wake up and realize that we need a STRONG and good president!. Please read the following:

” As my fellow Heritage colleague Norbert Michel and other scholars have thoroughly documented, the crash of 2008 was caused by government policies and regulatory failure, including easy money policies that flooded the markets with debt. Within a decade, these policies led to preposterous mortgage loans being issued, and massive over-leverage of government, companies, and households.

Now the Fed, the White House, and Congress are recreating the very same conditions for another financial bubble. If it pops, we could replay the same devastating effects as occurred during the first bubble in 1999 and 2000.

It is doing so in four ways:
First, the Dodd-Frank regulations are exacerbating one of the greatest consolidations of the banking industry since the Great Depression. Those indispensable small banks, like the one Jimmy Stewart operated in the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life,” are disappearing from the American landscape.

This is largely because big government policies are slanting the system in favor of big banks. Because of this, we have created a competitive advantage that allows the sharks to swallow the minnows. Meanwhile, the “too big to fail” safety net to Bank of America, Citi, and other titans exacerbates this cost advantage of big banks and thus makes bailouts even more likely in the future.

Second, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are engaged in the same low down payment lending mania of 2004-07, and the Obama administration is on a Bush-like homeownership push. Fannie and Freddie are again guaranteeing mortgages with as little as 3 percent down payment. Have we learned nothing at all?

Third, the Fed refused to tighten its stance in September, and, hello, that easy money policy is how we got into the mess in 2000 and then in 2008. Wall Street cheered Janet Yellen’s decision to keep the cheap dollars flowing.

sliding banks

Finally, there is the saturation of debt. When the crisis hit in 2008, the national debt stood at a little under $10 trillion. Now we are over $18 trillion. Government is hopelessly over-leveraged, and the interest rate exposure is enormous. With each one-percentage-point rise in long-term rates, the servicing costs of the debt rises by about $1.8 trillion over ten years.

Fannie and Freddie are again guaranteeing mortgages with as little as 3 percent down payment. Have we learned nothing at all?

The point is that government and politicians have no learning curve. All of the conditions of financial wreckage are reappearing. The presidential candidates should start warning voters that Washington is rebuilding another financial house of cards”

 Quote for the week

In choosing a president, we really don’t choose a Republican or Democrat, a conservative or liberal. We choose a leader.

Rudy Giuliani

Corrupt  Banking destroys Capitalism and Prosperity

Is the corrupt system that we have sustainable?

greed

Letting the market adjust in accordance with pricing determined by supply and demand is fair and it is far more efficient than leaving it to politicians.  You don’t believe Grandma? You are in good company for financiers all over teh world would never agree.  And why not? Because they have injected all sorts of unusual  interruptions to the business cycle to give themselves an unfair advantage. Don’t be deceived by these extremes put forward by the Crony Capitalists.(Republican and Democrats alike) for this is actually one group and not two, and the divide is artificial. Liberty Lovers define these politicians as Statists. Statists can also be defined as those who want to keep and protect the (corrupt) status-quo. Goldman Sachs and AIG and cronies (assholes in greed) earning big bonuses in a casino designed by bankers for bankers, are the prime defenders of the status-quo. They want things to stay the same – investment business as usual.

The big question is – has business as usual given us a fair and workable distribution of American wealth and resources. Take a few minutes to examine the true facts and you may find the situation more dire than the propaganda line.

Watch this video: mind blowing facts

Now are you ready to listen up here, and help to educate and spread the word?  If you care, your hat is to make what is really going on real to voters in 2016. This is a critical year. Grandma believes that the world is on a tipping point and the outcome of the next election, will decide our fate. Free and Prosperous again? Maybe, but maybe not?

This is the second in grandma’s series.of educational posts about free market economics. In the first post she used an anecdotal example, introducing Tom and Sally who both work in the canteen in a VA hospital. In that first post it was Sally who was promoted and as she began to earn more money, she put her surplus in a bank owned by Dick. In the first post we also met small business owner Harry who has a furniture factory/shop and it is Dick the banker who financed his enterprise and helped him to take it up to the next level. Harry got his loan for ten thousand dollars from banker Dick and he paid ten percent for the privilege of using the bank’s money. He invested this money in machinery and raw materials and his enterprise prospered.

The fundamental problem is that the money was never Dicks. It was money deposited in his bank by hard worker Sally and many others like her.  The loan Harry got from Dick was for ten years and he was to pay it back in ten years or else Harry would be subject to a penalty. The penalty was that if not paid in ten years, compound interest would accrue.

Harry did well and in the beginning even Sally was rewarded with a good return on her deposited money.. Here we find Dick the banker engaged in a constructive activity.  This is how Capitalism works in the ideal.

Then Dick got greedy!

There is a problem with people who work only with numbers, for it is easy to have a disconnect. Decisions are made and policies put in place that are not for the greatest good. I think most Americans sense that there is something wrong, they just don’t understand how it works. So they cannot use elections to right the wrongs. The answer is to educate them. .

The first corruption occurred when Banker Dick got greedy and decided to charge compound interest from the get-go and to add insult to injury  to make these charges retroactive. Then to make matters even worse  he cut Sally’s interest rate to way lower than 5%.  How was he able to put his hand in the cookie jar an get away with this stealing?

 Politicians propitiating

This is the exact point where an honest government (justice department) should have stepped in to play umpire and to say, “Oh no, hold it right there corrupt bankster, Dick There was an agreement here between you and Harry and an agreement between you and Sally and you are unilaterally changing the rules.

When government (which is force) gives Dick the right to change the terms of his agreements, the system is being corrupted by the force of government and we no longer have true Capitalism. Do you think it right that banks can change the terms of agreements without even asking you? Does that sound just a little bit familiar; just a little bit too close to home? When did banks last change the interest rates on you? It is always all hidden in the small print.

“But that is not what we agreed to,” wails Harry.  “I am perfectly happy to pay a penalty if I default, but . . . ”  Well if Dick is contributing to election coffers, and has the politicians in his pocket, poor Harry can protest as much as he wants and there will be nobody there listening. Government (especially DOJ) is no longer playing umpire and properly calling the fouls. In short they have quit doing their job.

A fair transaction is one where both parties agree and both parties benefit and the transaction is transparent. If the bank persuades its buddy, big government to allow it to charge compound interest from the get go, the system has been corrupted and banks (who are in no way producers) are getting an unfair slice of the dice. If the banks persuade big government to also let them have floating rates of interest, fractional banking and variable penalties, this destroys Capitalism and our way of life, our liberty and our prosperity.

So let’s pretend a little longer: Another banker, Banker Dikhead, sees Harry doing well and casts his greedy eye on Harry’s loan.  So he goes to Banker Dick and says “I want to buy that loan from you”.Can he do this? Was there an honest transaction between Harry and Dikhead? Of course not. Both Dick and Dikhead’s confusion is that a loan is a product or a service when what it actually is, is a private agreement between Dick and Harry that ought to be honored. This is a point where justice should be stepping in, but this has not happened for a very long time.

If Justice allows Dick to sell the loan to Investor Dikhead, who in turn sells it to banker Moby Dick who passes it along to Savings and Loan, Dikneck, we get a “dick, thick” market that is filled with sludge, and everything slows down. In a slow, confused economy poverty enters in. We all get poorer and even the super rich will eventually get sucked into the dwindling spiral. Even if some good politician were to bring about a fair exchange for the electorate, it has now become almost impossible because we no longer have clear and clean transactions and government has a corrupted organizing board where even justice has become the tool of the super rich.

To add to all the silliness in the system, let us say that investor Dick Sorrowmaker looks it over and he says “Mmmm, I think we may have a bubble here. (sound familiar?) I shall bet my sorry fortune that this bubble is going to pop!” Of course it is going to pop because it has no intrinsic economic integrity.  Dick Sorrowmaker wins his bet and gets to be one of richest men in the world, profiting from a decline, a burst economic bubble; and it is downright scary that he can get away with it. I mean be objective here. Should any investor be able to profit from a decline?   This is crazy economics.  Investors should profit when they contribute to growing the economy and creating jobs. And what of the unintended consequences? We now have an investor who was able to buy countries and politicians and radically change elections and not always for the better. Is Dick Sorrowmaker a producer? Investors, bankers and politicians, none of them are producers.

They do not make anything.

Oligarchy defines a society or a system that is ruled and dominated by a small minority of the top wealthiest (corrupt) citizens. Oligarchy is a way to enrich the few at the cost of the many. So the free market ceases to function and Capitalism becomes a system in name only.

Those who are at least up to seeing the inequities tend to embrace socialism as the solution. Socialism has one major flaw.  The common denominator in the decline of honest banking has been a lack of banking integrity and the greed of bankers and an inept Justice Department.   Capitalism detractors see this as a flaw in the free market system. Yet what it truly is, is a flaw in government and a corruption of justice.

Sally is well rewarded by an honest bank for her industry and thrift. She uses her surplus to buy a house and her spending as she decorates keeps several other small businesses afloat. She even buys furniture from Harry.

In a free economy Harry gets his loan, buys new machinery and starts to make fancy decks and sun porches. He employs new workers who are paid fairly. Employment goes up. After all Small Business is the largest employer of all. This new market he has newly found is wide open and he can keep his furniture at an even keel and depend on the new products for his profit. He has already learned all the woodworking tricks that will take him successfully into his next venture.  The price for his furniture and for his decks will be determined not by government but by supply and demand.

And so the market grows and the nation gets prosperous.

True Capitalism is governed by self interest, but it is the community’s cumulative transactions (the market) that has the power to transform self interest into the greatest good for the greatest number “as if by an invisible hand”

healthy economy

How to Choose a President

by Griping Grandpa

Let’s get above the fray of the Presidential Debates and base our preferences, not on party lines, or on looks or likability, or even their rhetoric, but on attributes a good president should have. I have compiled a list of attributes I think most Americans would agree with as desirable in a President.

While for convenience I am using masculine pronouns in this post, these guidelines of course also apply to female candidates.

A good President:

  • Bases his decisions on the Constitution, his Conscience and the Greatest Good for the Nation and the World
  • Cannot be bought or intimidated into favoring or attacking a particular group or individual
  • Knows and effectively addresses the issues that are most important to the well-being of the Nation and the rest of the World
  • Has the wisdom, insight, honesty and integrity to make decisions that are best for the Nation and the World
  • Knows how to choose competent people to assist him, knows how to delegate to them and shows appreciation for their good work done, thus earning their loyalty
  • Is decisive and stands by his decisions, while ready to admit his mistakes if proven wrong
  • Is respectful of others, including his opponents; knowing that mud slinging is below the dignity of the Presidential Office; does not blame others for his own shortcomings
  • By his positive leadership and good example inspires the people
  • Is compassionate, considerate, just, fair and humble enough to listen in his dealings with others, thus earning the respect of his opponents
  • Lets the Congress and the Judiciary do their jobs; knows what the Federal Government’s and the President’s rights and duties are, and acts accordingly

MountRushmoreThis list by no means is all-inclusive. You can probably add a few attributes as well. While it may be unrealistic to expect any human being to pass on all of these points, this list can serve as a guideline in determining your choice of Presidential candidate. And of course vote when the time comes.

I look forward to hearing your feedback on this post. In future posts I will give my take on what is the most important issue to address and how to deal with it. See you next time.

Much Ado about Donald Trump (updated after the election)

A few of us knew that Trump was going to be the next President; and how did we know this? We read his books and studied his record and realized that when Trump decides something, that is the way it is going to be. This strength of mind and self-confidence (and his knowledge of how finance works) should stand us in good stead in the troubled times that still lie ahead.

Donald TrumpGiven that he won the election fair and square why is there still opposition?

It is going to take time for the lies and slander to fade away.  The swamp has not yet been drained. It will take at least four years  maybe eight and maybe even thirty which is what I predict the GOP has ahead. I predict this because of the greater efficiency of their political organization.

So given the Democrats in disarray, what is this wild noise we are still hearing?
There are a lot of people were supporting corrupt HIllary, freaking, because they stand to lose an unfair privilege.

Just to name a few:

  • Sanctuary Cities
  • Illegal immigrants and Refugees living off the public dole when some of our children are starving and our veterans are struggling.
  • Those planning and rigging the vote counting machines to falsify election results. (So sick) I have suspicions about Harry Reid.
  • Those gaming the legislative process (Harry Reid, Mich McConnell, Bill Clinton)
  • Teachers protected by seniority and not judged on their performance.
  • Government workers insisting on high wages and demanding high benefits but failing the public they serve.
  • Those in high office like Clinton betraying her public trust, taking bribes (bribes laundered through the Clinton Foundation)
  • Those in high office like Clinton choosing to set up her records on a public server (SO THAT HER EMAILS COULD NEVER BE SOUGHT BY JUDICIAL WATCH ON A FREEDOM OF iNFORMATION REQUEST) Thanks to Wikileaks we found out what she and those in high office in the Democrats wanted to hide.
  • Lots of little bureacrats who were also raking it in on the side. We have far too many bureaucrats.
  • Main Stream Media owned by Global Interests engaging in bias and slander and failing to tell the truth.
  • Big pharma making a killing from Government patents and regulations that protect their unfair monopoly – why can’t we buy our drugs in Canada or Mexico? Why can’t HMOs compete across state lines. Where is all this cushy protection.
  • Farmers getting subsidies long out of date
  • Investors like George Soros using arcane investing rules to allow them to profit from an economic decline (Then they use thier wealth and power to create such decline)
  • People on welfare now have to learn a trade and begin to support self and family and the nation.
  • Abortion clinics relying on public funding.
  • Monsanto (GMO) permitted by Clinton to hide what they are doing to poison our food.
  • Bribed politicians and on and on.

No wonder there are a lot of unhappy people.

Those who love Donald Trump see that . . .

  • He has observed that America is in trouble, and he has decided that he is the one to make America Great Again.
  • He has the unique ability to attract honorable and able men to his side. None can challenge the production records of Pence or Ben Carson or their spiritual integrity. That they love him speaks a lot for Donald Trump.
  • Trump’s political views are still evolving and he is not fixed. He evaluates the situation in front of him, he observes, and then he decides before he acts. He is able TO SEE.
  • He is transparent, and tells it like it is. This is likable.
  • He understands TV; and as an entertainer he is supreme
  • He understands finance; and this is something we badly need, it has become beyond vital to fix the failing economy before the next economic bubble pops (derivatives)
  • In the event of an economic or any major catastrophe, Trump is a strong man. In such a bad event we will need strength in a leader.
  • He promises jobs, knowing that putting us ALL back to work will raise our morale
  • He is sensible: “identify your goals, know precisely what you want to achieve, then find and surround yourself with the best people”  Good advice. Already we have seen this work for him.
  • He is sound on Education (He supports school choice, and opposes Common Core)
  • He is sound on Taxes. He asks simplification of the cumbersome and complex income tax code. His plan to tax the rich is coming under attack, yet what he proposes is an amazingly fair and gradient approach to handle income inequality
  • That he only hits back when attacked, yet hits back hard and effectively.
  • Most of all we are coming to realize that those who oppose him are corrupt. There is a whole thick, entrenched system in Washington which is rigged.  We begin to understand the opposition to Trump better when we realize just how much money the elites (both global, democratic and republican) are standing to lose.Trump will expose their corruption.

corporate greed

Not all who oppose Trump are corrupt, some are wary because . . .

  • His style is somewhat new and he is not in any way politically correct. As a friend put it, “Trump is saying all the right things, I just wish somebody else was saying it.”
  • Would he have the strength and the smarts to take America through a bankruptcy without letting the fabric of our society fall apart, for that is what it may take?
  • Will he introduce change on an acceptable gradient, giving us time to catch up. We see that he is way ahead even than the smartest of our thinkers. Will he be gentle on us?
  • The true test of his greatness will be to bring his prior enemies onto the train, invite them to WAKE UP.
  • Will Trump grant others the ability to  see things their own way, to disagree with him AS LONG AS THEY ARE FAIR?  The true test of greatness will be to LEARN to love his enemies provided they are declawed.

Some of these are valid concerns, electing  an outsider to the post of President is a big change from politics as usual. He has my support because he supports the Republican form of government; in a Republic, government rules only with consent of the governed. In a global or progressive administration “Might is Right” and this opens the door to oppression.

And that folks is what was at stake in 2016. We could have lost America. We could have been forced by the Clintons into the North American Union to become just another corrupt, Banana Republic bowing down the might of the corrupt global elite.

character

So where do we go from here? We come together as Americans, grateful that once again America has stood up to the challenge.

I  am now studying that incomparable Hillsdale College Course on the Constitution and finding that Trump’s instinctive solutions are mostly aligned with the core beliefs of the founding fathers. They, too, valued common sense.

Don’t feel bad if you got it wrong: the political lies were so many as to be overwhelming. The key difference between the candidates: I do believe that Trump can change. He will grow into his new position. I don’t see that Hillary has changed in thirty years. She has always put power over people.

In times of great change we need a President who is in no way a puppet as has been Hillary & Obama. America needs an outsider who can think on his feet. I do believe such a man is Donald Trump.

So I have a message for those who still oppose Trump:

Do your homework.

  • Get educated on the “out of touch” globalists many of whom do not have your better interests at heart
  • If you do not understand a Constitutional Republic take some time to study the incomparable FREE online course from Hillsdale College.
  • Read one or two of Trump’s books, (you may start start with the Midas Touch)
  • Learn about the Political Lies being told by the Corporate Oligarchies.
  • Learn how Main Stream Media is now a Monopoly and the dubious techniques they use to mislead you Recognize that it is the lies and half truths that has you all upset.  Learn to spot the false labels and the generalities.

It is a big world out there, a big responsibility. We turth-seekers honestly believe that it begins by first fixing up our own house and then we can help other soveriegn nations. “America First” is common sense.

We will see if Power corrupts Trump or not, and we will be vigilant and become active again to curb his power if that is needed.

But for now it is the dawn of a new day.

families at night

We all need to give our new president- elect some time and space. We need to have faith in the American system; the people have spoken.

I have a dream, and this is that Trump will pattern himself after George Washington with the aggression and strength to fight for what is right; but the restraint to earn him a true legacy.

Illegal Immigration 2015

Latinos are the fastest growing ethnic group in USA and 17% of these are undocumented workers.

Latinos increasing their numbers

Illegal immigration has become a part in the power struggle between the Democrats and the GOP,  THERE IS MUCH RIGHT AND WRONG on both sides of the aisle which makes it difficult to reach a workable solution.

Legal is as Legal does

We tend to think that anybody of Hispanic descent and living in America, is an immigrant (either legal or illegal) but the truth is that over half of the Latinos in America are natural-born Americans; that is born in America to parents who were themselves born in America. Such are fully legal.  Then there are also those born in America to illegal immigrants also pronounced legal, but this is questionable.

According to a paper written in 2005 by P.A. Madison, Former Research Fellow in Constitutional Studies such children would not be legal. Anchor babies are not constitutional. The lower courts have upheld that any child born on American soil is a citizen of the United States of America. (Fourteenth Amendment)  Madison presents contrary constitutional evidence citing Sen.Jacob M. Howard (MI) who framed the amendment in 1866 and clarified the difference between “jurisdiction” and “limits”.  Born under the jurisdiction is different from born on American soil (limits)  Children born to parents not subject to the jurisdiction of America because they are themselves foreigners are to also be declared foreigners and are not automatically accepted into the body of our citizenry. Common sense? You bet.

Birthright citizenship has not yet been challenged in the Supreme Court and when it is there could be a radical change to that graph above.

I have a question for you; would Latinos come to America given the enormous risk and cost of crossing the border illegally, were there no big advantages to coming?

Graph showing undocumented spread.

California Benefits
Why are there more illegal immigrants in California?  Why do 49% of children born to undocumented workers reside in California?  California unlike other states provides a low-cost auto insurance program for unauthorized immigrants who as of January 2, 2014, are now finally able to get driver’s licenses.  Illegals in California are now also eligible for a DREAM loan program to the University of California and the California State University systems. As for minors who face deportation, they are granted 3 million each for legal representation in California. All paid for by the Taxpayer of course.

Food stamps
Illegal immigrants can get food stamps on behalf of their eligible kids in all states – without having to disclose their immigration status, according to documents uncovered by Judicial Watch.   The food-stamps offer is spelled out in a Spanish language flyer provided by the United States Department of Agriculture to the Mexican Embassy.

Health Care
Most undocumented immigrants are uninsured. They are not officially eligible to participate in ObamaCare – given no subsidies to purchase health insurance. They also cannot sign up for Medicaid. Many do not seek medical treatment until it is urgent, putting a strain on hospital emergency services for which they are rarely able to pay. The Center for Immigration Studies puts the total for uninsured undocumented immigrants around $4.3 billion per year

However you should know that ObamaCare does not check the legal status of those applying for the benefit. Right now there is not much to stop illegals from signing up for ObamaCare and getting the benefits.

Education
2014 wiped out the provisions of Prop 187 adopted by California voters 20 years ago. The measure prohibited education, doctor visits, and other public services to undocumented workers and their children. Most of Prop 187 provisions were found to be unconstitutional. (Sic)

Graph shoving high school drop-outs

Conclusion

There are Legal Latinos who have risen to make big contributions to America, like Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. Even among the illegals we should not generalize, lots of good people. In 2013, the median length of residence for unauthorized immigrants in the United States was 13 years and 45% of these own their own home and pay property tax. 62 percent of undocumented immigrants have lived in the United States for 10 years or longer. That said, we cannot deny that we have a major situation here. If we point fingers we shouldn’t point at immigrants but rather at those in public office who have allowed this situation to develop and to continue.   We look at those officials running Sanctuary Cities and we have to take a good, hard look at the Courts.

Is it not time to frame an Illegal Immigration law that is both compassionate and fair and constitutional, a law where everybody wins? We have to reward production and hard work.  We have to control the lawless elements coming across our borders. We have to correct our courts. If we use our imagination, our innovation and our resources I am sure that there are solutions that we will all find workable.

Joke: If all else fails we can invade Mexico and give the country to California to fix up and straighten out. If done right the flow across the border will begin to go the other way. Mexico is a beautiful country.

 Quote for the Week

Our nation stands at the crossroads of liberty. Crushing national debt, rampart illegal immigration, insane business regulations and staggering national unemployment are pushing our nation into unchartered territory.  James Lankford.

Can Bill Clinton fix small business for Hillary?

Small business just happens to be the largest employer in America. Wipe out small business and you destroy jobs.

When he was president Bill Clinton understood this; but that was then and now is now. After eight years of Obama, small business has been all but destroyed by regulations, banking corruption and global priorities.

The seeds for the 2008 crash were actually sown on Bill Clinton’s watch, an inept president who didn’t really understand, and his greedy banking cronies who took advantage. Bernie Sanders pushed to get this fixed with Glass Steagall. However, now that Clinton has chosen Tim Kaine over Elizabeth Warren as her VP, is it likely she will follow through on this very needed banking correction?

To Regulate or not to Regulate; that is the question . . .

Wells Fargo: Another major banking scandal: so what’s new?

robtheworld

The economy got turned around after the 2008 crash, but the Wells Fargo scandal shows us that while the danger was handled in 2008 (taxpayer bailouts of both American and Foreign Banks) a Federal Reserve in bed with Obama, saved the system, but they failed to fix the problem.

Hillary is propitiating the corrupt banking Industry. Hillary is the establishment candidate.

2008 halved the value of many homes and if Americans were able to keep their houses it was a small miracle. Many walked away from the biggest investment of their lifetime.  Now, paying sometimes exorbitant rents, to foreign owner capitalists in a global world, our Moms & Pops live from paycheck to paycheck. Their kids, having lost jobs to India, China and Mexico, are being forced to move back in with them.

Note well: It was the crash of 2008 that brought on the income inequality that is now destroying our culture?

A little background on Glass Steagall: bringing this back has has been included in the GOP platform.

In the roaring twenties there was so much easy money in risky-investments that several big Wall Street banks began salivating. They then decided to pull the deposit money out of trusted accounts and use this money to speculate. It wasn’t their money and it wasn’t ethical, so it all went appetite over tin cup; bankers jumped out of high windows and America went a slipping and a sliding into a great Depression.

The Glass Steagall Act of 1933 is a set of good reforms that ushered in a crisis-free period in USA financial history.

Today we see that banking corruptIon still exists. We can hope that Wells Fargo will become the head on a pike and corrupt bankers will be put on notice that they commit crimes, they get locked away. Don’t hold your breath with a Hillary presidency. She will protect the corrupt justice department and the numbers tell us she is in bed with the industry.,

We should learn from our past mistakes.

1933 the evidence of banking corruption was irrefutable: After the then ethics investigation, it was found that BANKING & BROKERING WAS A POISONOUS MARRIAGE.

TBTF

Hillary is making noises to placate the Bernie voters, but once in power can we trust her? Her banking connections tell us, otherwise! Follow the money.

Is the danger real that we could have another banking crash?  Don’t take my word on it, look at the graph for yourself and check out the numbers.

************

Then read my story so that you, too, understand.

“Young Bobby has just turned thirteen and in honor of his teenage status Dad has decided to give him a weekly allowance.  Bobby is a born entrepreneur and he and his neighbor friend, Goldy owned a lemonade stand (this was in the days before bureaucrats made this kind of endeavor illegal)

Goldy like Bobby, was also a producer and although young, she had a knack with food and drinks. Their little corner business was popular for the word had gotten around that stopping there was well worth the wait. So it came to be that Bobby had not only his allowance but also his profits. What to do with all the extra money?Bobby went to talk to Dad.

Dad called the boys together to educate them about income and outgo and savings – it seemed the right time. (Bobby had a big brother called George and Dad included him) Dad gave the boys a collective savings bank (his first mistake) and entrusted the bank to George’s care; after all he was the oldest and he was tall enough to reach to put the box on top of the closet. (Dad’s second mistake)

There was one small problem that neither Bobby nor Dad figured into the equation; George was into Pokeman Cards and his obsession had quickly got him outspending his own allowance.  George unlike Bobby and Goldy was not a producer, he was a gambler. Are you surprised that he began to steal from the box?

As time went along it got hotter; summer is the best of all times to sell lemonade. The little entrepreneurs decided they needed a canopy. Bobby asked to get the savings-box down and was devastated to find that it was empty. What were they to do? They really needed that canopy! It was hot.

George whined that he had always intended to pay the money back; he suggested that Dad step in and make it right and buy the canopy for Bobby, after all Dad didn’t want to see his little brother suffer, right? George’s strongest argument (which Dad bought), was that Bobby wouldn’t have been able to do the Pokeman investing by himself, so he was really trying to help him. I mean what did Bobby know about Pokeman?  He was always out there making lemonade and Goldy was now also baking. George knew a man who knew a man who said they were going to close the stand down because the kids didn’t have a licence.

Should George sell all the cards, he wasn’t sure how much he could get for them now?

Bobby didn’t want silly cards, he wanted a canopy, a canopy to give him and Goldy and his customers good shade in the summer for his lemonade stall; a local enterprise that the whole, local neighborhood agreed was a gem, was a neighborhood thriving business.

Unfortunately Dad backed George, buying into the theory that might is right.

Dad was also intimidated by the bureaucrat, clipboard in hand who had come to call.

Dad did promise to buy Bobby a canopy for Christmas, but it was too little, too late. It would be cold for a lemonade stand in December, no canopy would be needed.  And maybe, after all long before then, the city would close down the best lemonade stand in the neighborhood.

This is how two enthusiastic and enterprising entrepreneurs bit the dust.

Of course they could still work their lemonade stand without a canopy, that is until the nearby bakery persuaded the authorities that they were stealing his business.

“What?” said Bobby.

“Regulations are designed to protect established businesses that pay taxes,” said Dad.

“Duh?”

The lemonade stand continued for a brief while for it was still popular but it wasn’t the same. Then the city closed them down.

Neither Bobby, nor Goldy would ever recover from the betrayal after trust. It would stay with them and limit them as entrepreneurs for the rest of their lives.

mom&PopWith rumblings that we could again have another banking crash, having the big banks again steal assets from these hardworking little Mom & Pop shop enterprises is not an option. It is totally unacceptable. It is little Mom & Pop enterprises that depend on the banks to keep their meager money safe.

Purists argue that we should let the big banks be forced into bankruptcy for that is how a free market system works. The American voter thinks this banking danger has gone away, but all that has happened is that it has been swept under a dirty carpet that is still big banking today.

It all comes back to a good law deliberately wiped out for banking greed and one inept President who lacked any kind of personal ethics. Do we want his wife to bring back all the same bad laws and advisers? Do we want Hillary to perpetuate banking corruption?

When originally introduced, Glass-Steagall gave banks a year to decide: they could get out of the securities business, and enjoy the benefits of deposit insurance and access to the low-interest credit of the Federal Reserve; or they could choose to be investment banks and brokerage houses, and forego the banking privileges given them by depositors.

It is one or the other, and once again in 2016 it is time for we the people to force the banks to make the choice.

 ***********

Bobby said to his Dad, “I think I will put my money in a real bank next time.”

Oh yeah?

Until the banks get their act together not such a good idea Bobby?

*************

It is true that most regulations are counter productive but there are some like the Glass-Steagall Act that are absolutely vital to our economic prosperity and the stability of our culture. America survived the Great Depression because there was effective ethics investigation, effective reorganization of the banking sector and new, strong policy put in place to make sure t didn’t happen again.

An open letter to Donald Trump from Grandma Thunder

Who is against you Donald, and do you know why they oppose you?

Let me begin by thanking you. I am grateful that you chose to step up to the plate.

About how dirty this game is. . .

Where you find yourself is in the middle of a dirty game; and it is a game where you may have profited in the past because you are shrewd, but it is not a game of your making.  Now you are being given the chance to fix it up.

your chance to make America Great again

Just how dirty this game is now, you are just starting to find out.  When the bad things people do to get unfair advantage, get missed, they get highly upset and go on the attack.

You jumped into the fray, only to find everything imploding..  It must have seemed like going through the sound barrier, where you wake up one morning and everything is reversed; your friends are now your enemies, the Americans you came to help and save are the ones attacking you.  You seek out safe places, TV has always been good to you, only to find TV fraught with danger. Fox liked you and now Fox hates you. Even your Twitter Account, your biggest asset, has been hacked and not what it was before   . .

This blog post has been written to explain why some of this is happening.

About Bad Journalism
Even although FOX is still defending their princess she was out of line in that first debate; The political class have gotten so used to a climate of attack that they are now see “Journalism as Usual” and “Politics as Usual” as perfectly justifiable, as perfectly okay.

2016 is the year when these dirty tricks stop working.

They tell me it wasn’t proper but I loved your rejoinder to Megyn.  You don’t ever let anybody get away with an unfair attack do you?

The people don’t like these political  attack ads. It is a couple of decades since Karl Rove invented and perfected the negative political attack ad. With all the money donated to the favorites we are expecting lots of these and I cringe in anticipation. Knowingly or unknowingly Megyn was using these ugly “Karl Rove” techniques which consist of lies, generality, innuendo and insinuation: “The war on women” “the temperament of a president” and in saying these things I don’t think she even knew she was forwarding “enemy line”  You are lucky she didn’t go so far as to call you “racist”. (New definition of racist: anybody who opposes the International, Liberal Agenda) Even if I know you are not anti-black, hang in there for I predict you are going to be called racist. The “Race Attack” is old hat.

It is an attack that has not only been used by liberals; Rove’s most damaging (and successful use of these black propaganda techniques was to “suggest” that John McCain had fathered a black love child, totally untrue. Actually as a rich white man I think that adopting and raising a child from Bangladesh is something to be admired,  but I digress . . .

Definition of black propaganda – with lies and innuendo seeking to destroy another’s reputation. Watch out for it for this for it is ugly. It turns voters off.

About Nationalism and Internationalism
You may want to look beyond Megyn at Fox;  Murdock may well be at the root of your problems in the first debate.  I always look for the third party in any conflict. Why would Murdock oppose you? Well that is very simple, you are a Nationalist, and Murdock, Obama and Bill Clinton (Rhodes Scholar) are all Internationalists. We are seeing how Obama tries to bypass Congress on the Iran deal by going to the United Nations.

About Obama
That Obama is the only president to ever secure a second term with a smaller percentage of the vote than in his first election. He got roughly 7.8 fewer million votes from whites, 1.6 million fewer voters from blacks, 1.8 million fewer votes from young voters, and four million fewer votes from women. In fact contrary to popular belief, fewer people voted in election 2012 than in any of the three previous elections.  So how was he able to win? Obama won the election because his share of the Latino votes rose a full 4 points to 71% giving him a full 700,000 plus additional votes from Latinos. This was called a seismic shift in the voting pattern. Not true.  Was there some “Monkey Business”?.

There is a lot of black propaganda (lies) connected with Illegal Immigration. One of these is “Anchor Babies” which is unconstitutional.  Yes I know a high court pronounced this constitutional, but aren’t we finding that one of the key areas we HAVE to FIX is the Justice Department, which at best is riddled with other agenda and at worst does not exercise due diligence. We don’t have to enact new laws about anchor babies. We just have to get the constitution applied to them correctly.

Because of Obama’s 2012 win, it seems the powers that be have decided that it is a good idea to give Latinos everything that they want. Why do I think this? Why else choose Jeb Bush with his Latino wifey?

There are a few more reasons why Obama must hate and fear you.

  • You might still prove that his birth certificate is false, some convincing data circulating on this on the net.
  • You block his efforts to try for a third term, without you he could have bamboozled the other candidates into letting him run, but with you there he can no longer use the argument that there is nobody there out there able to do the job.
  • You stand to destroy his heritage. You challenged him on illegal immigration and I am willing to bet my bottom dollar that you will undo his Iran deal. There is a volcano that is going to erupt when you create a workable healthcare system and replace ObamaCare.  Don’t underestimate teh man, he has the military in his pocket.Obama must hate you with a passion and he is a tricky-dicky who doesn’t play by any ethical or political rules.  So Mr. Trump please watch your back.

About Big Pharma
Their strategy is to make billions off “enforced” inoculations in 2016 and beyond.  You oppose this because you understand and know about autism.  So you can expect Big Pharma to spend millions trying to get you destroyed. Thank you for your integrity on this matter.

About Big Banking
Ex President Jimmy Carter called America an oligarchy with unlimited bribery.  Definition of oligarchy: a government in which a small group of elites, exercises control for corrupt and selfish purposes.  (Merriam Webster)

Examine these mind blowing facts

For a decade or more the corporate class and teh investor class they have persuaded conservatives NOT to increase corporate taxes. Unfortunately the effective and workable solution is often in the middle. It appears you know this. Your tax policy is both simple and fair, and doesn’t favor any American, corporate or otherwise.  Your tax plan also calls it on the “investor class” to account for their unfair share of the economy. The top investors of America have used lobbyists to get privileged loopholes in what is deliberately an extremely complicated tax plan.

Hey one likes to play as a true team member and demonstrate loyalty.  We don’t live in an ideal world and you need to do what you have to do to win.

Cutting a bribe

The truth is that many people in high places have started getting nervous. The big-money interests have the system ‘gamed’; win or lose, they win. Furthermore in the past when they have lost they have succeeded in having the American taxpayer pick up the tab.. But you, Donald Trump, iIf elected you will break up a nice cozy relationship between BIG money, BIG business and BIG government.

The international socialist cabal operating behind the scenes in the White House, and the corrupt crony capitalists working on K Street, and the Banking Oligarchies working with the FED, all of these corrupt people are NOW running scared because you entered the race. What scares them is that you are the genuine thing; you got to the one percent through talent, intelligence and a lot of  hard work. They have bribed and cheated or twisted the game to get an unfair advantage. Maybe you have done so also, but now you are at the top of the game and no longer need to play along. They have made a system out of the idle rich (the banking class) and the idle poor (the welfare class) stealing from the man in the middle and I think you can see that it is high time that this pick pocketing should stop for it has been destroying America. There are some in the one percent who like you have earned their riches and their influence honestly, but they are now in the minority. There are many, many more who don’t deserve their ill-gotten gains. Sure they are in the one percent but they are corrupt. Definition of corrupt, using public office or position of influence for one’s own selfish ends. Such people are scared shitless that you will get elected and close down their rackets.

But again Donald please watch your back, for you are at risk. There is a lot of money in banking-as-usual. and this is what it looks like: Banking Today

third party

They are at risk because if you are the next president and if you are clean, they will be unable to bribe or blackmail you.  Then they are going to find themselves out in the cold.  Heavy-weights in the banking industry like Goldman Sachs are sitting pretty because, as one private-equity exec put it, “We’re in a no-lose situation.”  The Democrats win and we have Hillary, the GOP wins and we have Jeb Bush and Rubio. They can’t accept you or treat you nice.  It  is not only because this requires a change in their thinking, but what your success tells them is that their own ability to effect the outcome of elections is waning. They are having trouble facing the decline in their clout. Acknowledging that Washington politicians can’t stop you or still control the voters tells them that their game is over; their influence is declining.  This is why they are mad at you..

You have made great strides in making friends since you declared your candidacy, but other than giving the statists everything they want, you can expect  the class of republicans who rule an antiquated and corrupt Senate will seek to block you. This groups also controls teh party so expect them to be mean.  It won’t be anything you have done, it won’t be anything you are or stand for, it will be because you are a threat to them and “politics as usual”.  They cannot control or buy you.’

Note well: It was on Clinton’s watch that the Glass-Steagall Act was repealed, leading to the creation of the too-big-to-fail banks, and the banking crash of 2008. Clinton has promised Goldman Sachs that if she is elected there will be  “banking as usual”  With a simple stroke of your pen as president you could approve Elizabeth Warren’s “Glass-Steagall Act.”  and the big-bad-banking situation goes away, just like flimsy smoke from your genie lamp. Nobody else would have the courage but you. YOu don’t want to do it until you have teh reins firmly in your hands but you really do need to do it if you are sincere in wanting “to Make America Great Again”

About getting the Vote out
Your biggest challenge, the one that might still undo you,  is the opposition from the Koch brothers.  I visited your website this morning and observed you have good people working for you, some of them old Koch workers and are already aware of this challenge. I learned that your team is already translating your celebrity pull into organization on the ground. The crowds are coming to you, you don’t have to go to them. America and the world may still find out that you are not “just a pretty face”

The reason I bring subject of organization up is because recent presidential elections have been won by getting out the vote.  For G.W. Bush: it was having the Church Pastors take little old ladies to the polling booths; for Obama it was mounting a massively organized effort financed by George Soros to corral the older Latinos who did not understand the language nor did they understand the process and they were clueless on the Constitution. The Kochs have the boots on the ground and they are aware of the get-out-the vote challenge or they would not have been preparing for 2016 with Americans for Prosperity. If you can involve the young kids that would also be good. 20% do not even go out to vote and many are still living unhappily with their parents. Capture the imagination of the youth and you could win big time.

Yes you can finance your own election and yes you can win as the Republican Candidate or even as an Independent but I do not believe you can win unless you can match their organization. If they know you can do that , the Koch opposition will fold.

Word has it that the Kochs have budgeted 900 million for election 2016.

graph showing Koch political organization

Koch Political Organization; Americans for Prosperity

Yet, if they and all the powers-that-be continue to be mean to you, you can absolutely run as an independent AND you can absolutely WIN as an independent.  Remember you do not have to get the 51% of the vote in a three way race.   If Bernie Sanders loses to Clinton, you will pick up many of his voters who lean Independent  You may lose some votes by switching, but gain many more.  Times have changed and today Independents outnumber registered voters, and today Independents are sick and tired of “Politics-as-Usual” and “Journalism-as-Usual”. We are especially sick of “Banking-as-Usual.”

If you choose to run as an Independent read “Politics IOU” for the successful blueprint.

Getting Out the Vote

Excerpt from “Politics IOU”

(Norman is the candidate for the Constitution Party
Ginger is his wife
Rith is his Campaign Manager. (Prior to joining the campaign she had been a Volunteer     Manager in a large hospital.)
Spider is the campaign’s volunteer coordinator)

Volunteer Calling Out

“Elections are won in many ways and a large factor is the ability to get out the vote,” said Norman, “I need a clever plan.”

Rith had her brilliant ideas in the early hours of the morning when she was lying in bed. As soon as it was light she called Ginger who promised to fund the plan, and then the candidates wife began to laugh. She was still laughing when they all met around the kitchen table to share the idea. “With more than a third of the electorate over sixty, Rith, I think this is a brilliant idea,” said Norman.

So Rith went ahead and called her favorite volunteer who was now living in a Senior Center together with Spider’s mother-in-law, the diminutive 60 year old Pearl. Listening to Rith explain the project, the little lady began to jump up and down in excitement. She asked Rith to hold on while she talked with Jay and Marjorie. Yes, they would do it, they were all gung-ho, boy were they gung-ho!

Volunteers calling

Spider had discovered that the voters had been bombarded with election messages and that most were blocking their calls. He was hoping this new plan would change when the word began to get around that cute little seniors were calling out for Norman. So he flew out to corral his mother-in-law and their friends and to get them started.   “Not an outing,” said Jay, President of the Auxiliary, to his fellow volunteers, coming into the lobby with two suitcases. “This is serious, political stuff.” He did a little jig. Are you in? Are you coming with me. “  Of course they were. They had been bored out of their mind.

Spider quickly turned them into a working team. He put them calling out. He was considerate and didn’t overtax them, they worked in comfortable shifts. If a volunteer failed to reach a voter he would have them leave this message. “Blessed are the children, for they shall inherit the national debt!”

Pearl on the phone

Voters were charmed by the novel messages and the phones began to ring and ring.  Spider was into creating games for them: If a senior could stay on the phone talking for half an hour, he would reward the volunteer with a chocolate ice cream cone! The volunteer who had most promises to go to the polling booths in a day would be rewarded with a special volunteer pin. The volunteer with the most pledges got to choose from a selection of kiddy-gifts on a table, and have Ginger send the gift out to a grandchild with a glorious card.

Jay loved chocolate ice cream and so he was their best “stay on the line” caller.

“Why am I calling you?” he would say, “I am calling because I have five grandchildren and they mean a lot to me. Do you have grandkids? Seven, now ain’t that something?” He would then share family anecdotes and precious kid moments. He was so interested that he bonded with every voter that he called. His four hairs would flop into his face as he warmed to his subject and as he moved into the home stretch he would ask, “Now Mrs. Bumble what do you think is the worst thing, I mean the very worst thing that we are leaving our grandkids?” The voter would answer up, “That’s right, that’s right, you are quite right, it is the national debt!” The voter would lament the bad politics, and say that nothing could be done about it. “There is something you can do, Mrs. Bumble,” he would say, “Are you planning to vote in the primaries?”

Occasionally, Pearl would beat him with the number of pledges, but not too often. Her specialty was getting return calls. “I have called you three times; sweet Maryanne and you haven’t returned my call. I am really, really worried about your grandkids!” “Thank you for calling back, Maryanne.” “How old am I? Oh I forget. I am not trying to be funny. Does this happen to you sometimes? The answer is in here somewhere, I just have to find it.” Spider knew his sweet mother-in-law knew her exact age to the very last minute, but she had reached a dodderer and she wanted to bond.

“Why do I do this calling out?” Comment from the voter. “Yes it is very important to me, very important. I don’t like the state of the world.” Long talk from the voter. “Sorry to interrupt you, I have it now; I am all of 73 years old.” Admiration from the voter. “Aren’t you also worried about your grandkids?” Answer from the voter. “You are quite right, it’s way out of control. Plug for Norman (following Spider’s script) and another voter was taking the pledge! “

old twoMost seniors in Shadow State went to the polling booths come polling day and they also took their dogs and their cats and their friends and families with them.

Will ObamaTrade benefit the American Taxpayer?

Is the  Devil in the Details, and are these Details have been Hidden and Obfuscated?

The TPA sneaked through the Senate at the end of May and this was largely a matter of timing. It was put through when all eyes were on Rand Paul and his epic second filibuster. Despite feeble efforts to inject it with continuing life, Paul forced the Patriot Act to die an ignoble death.

The problem was that while  all this was happening Obama’s Fast Track Trade bill was quietly slipped through the Senate. A lot of bribe money then and I suspect even more bribe money now.

Sadly (it would seem) few Senators even bothered to read the TPA  bill or even went down to the uber-secret room to get updated on the terms of TPP.

Open Secrets Blog reported several politicians whose net worth went up.  You can google this there.

Now Obama is back probably with even more BRIBE MONEY especially from BIG PHARMA.

THIS TRADE DEAL WILL BE DISASTROUS FOR AMERICA depriving of our sovereignty.

obamatrade

Trans Promotion Authority (TPA)
TPA and TPP are actually different bills.

TPA (Trade Promotion Authority) or Fast Track gives a president increased power to negotiate Trade Deals with other countries without “interference” from Congress.  Congress may approve or disapprove a President’s Trade Agreement but Congressmen cannot amend or filibuster the deal once agreement is reached.

Historically this authority is not an executive right. For a limited time Congress grants a President this temporary privilege during the named life of a treaty, but only for the duration of a specific trade-deal.

Nixon first kicked off this authority and it stayed in effect from 1975 – 1994.   It was resurrected by the Trade Act of 2002 but expired on July 1, 2007. In 2012 the Obama Administration began seeking a renewal for the authority (and as we speak the heat is on).

What congressional rights will Congress be forced to give up with TPA, ?

Congress gives up the power to write legislation, the power to amend legislation, the power to fully examine legislation, the power to predict and investigate the consequences to a specific bill.  In addition Congress gives up the chance to keep debate open until cloture. Most of all Congress gives up the constitutional requirement that Trade -treaties can only be approved  by a full two-thirds vote.

inijustrice

Pros
Republicans like Free Trade; they like the idea of giving a President the freedom to negotiate a Trade Deal with other countries, provided they can get an up and down vote on the agreement and with TPA  they can.

  • Countries are unlikely to commit to a deal that could later be changed in part or in full by Congress. Foreign countries want to know what they are getting into and that the deal is stable.
  •  This point is a negative/positive: Obama has shown in the past that when stopped by Congress he is quite willing to go it alone. His unilateral International agreements are likely to be thrown out by the courts (over time)for such is the American system. However in the meantime having a rogue President is an international embarrassment for America and would become a distraction and a liability as we ramp up for the next election. So why not let a little steam tickle out of those big ears, keep the lame-duck President happy and occupied. Then it would be less likely for things to blow up again.

Cons forTPA
Obama is no longer trusted by Republicans, by Americans or for that matter  even by his own party on this issue. So why give him more executive authority to again gum the works?

  • It would seem that Fast Track and TPP will operate ABOVE THE CONSTITUTION. With this transfer of authority Legislators give up their God Given right to do their job as defined by the constitution.
  • Already there is an unhealthy imbalance between the Executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary; TPA and TPP make this worse.
  •  While TPA is something different from TPP many republicans (like Paul Ryan) recognize that once a trade deal has been put on Fast Track, it is all but impossible to stop it. Since Fast Track was created by Richard Nixon few Trade Deals have been thwarted once they get fast-tracked.

With this in mind we have to look a little more intently at TPA and TPP. Do we really want ObamaTrade? Does the American Taxpayer really want Fast Track ?

or TPP?

Trans Pacific Partnership

Why do we seek to make Trade agreements?  The advantage lies in removing obstacles to the flow of goods and services between countries originating from local tariffs – remove the tariffs and producer and consumer both benefit whatever the country.

Liberalizing services in a Trade deal make them more accessible and efficient and provides an opportunity to open up industries long sheltered from foreign competitors. This is a good thing.

However according to leaks there is a lot in this partnership that has nothing whatever to do with trade:

  • Strong patent protection rules for Big Pharma.
  • Changes to the USA copyright law. Under the TPP, copyright terms for individuals would go from life of the author plus 50 years to life of the author plus 70 years.
  • The creation of International-Investor Tribunals. There are provisions that grant foreign investors the right to sue governments on the basis of vague and broad obligations regarding loss of “expected” profits.
Such suits would not be conducted by judges appointed for life in the American courts which subordinate to the Constitution.Where special interests appoint both the judge and the jury there will be arbitrary justice as in the darker ages on a darker continent.

esstablishment
Pros of TPP
The TPP covers a wide range of goods and services and finding common ground could be facilitated by a central agency similar to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs..This would facilitate Trade.

  • Industries like Big Pharma will get a boost because the treaty protects patents.
  •  Americans educated to provide technical services at home or abroad are likely to see their income go up as the demand for their services increases.

The movie, book and music Industries will benefit with copyrights given more teeth (protected by the TPP) Therefore, the higher-paid owners of intellectual property would receive more of the income gains from this Trade Treaty.

Cons to TPP

  • Trade Treaties promote cheaper goods from lower wage countries creating competition and putting local shops out of business.
  • Fair Use and Free Speech could be adversely impacted. Social Media Sharing could berestricted, citing copyright restrictions. Yet this innocent social sharing has become an intrinsic part of the new Internet Culture and is a form of free speech and it is a good thing.
  •  The protected patents are going to reduce the availability of cheap generics, making drugs more expensive. This is bad especially for the poorer world countries, denying them generics that could save lives.
  • Corporations get excused from safety and/or quality and/or environmental responsibilities – not a good thing.
  • Product transparency will be disallowed. Efforts to get Big Agri to label meat products was thrown out in May justified by the most recent Trade deal. Instead of reinforcing transparency it would seem that TPP leans towards secrecy and complexity.
  • The extreme secrecy in which TPP has been incubated is a negative. Many of the things that went wrong with ObamaCare could also go awry with ObamaTrade simply because the devil is in the details and the details are being hidden or obfuscated. And because of TPA Congress will not be able to do anything about problems that surface AFTER THE DEAL IS STRUCK. With Fast Track, Congress is left with no other option than to throw out the whole Treaty BUT killing the treaty may not be the best solution; throwing out the baby with the bath water?
  • Of most concern though, is that TPP is designed to supersede American financial regulations. This will make ti all but impossible to get in ethics and correction on the International Banking Monopolies. TPP would empower the world’s largest banks, including 19 of the 30 biggest non-U.S. banks, to “sue” the U.S. government before extrajudicial tribunals. Note:it is said that the USA Federal Reserve has in the past bailed out some of these international banks We do not know this for sure, for this, too, is shrouded in an unacceptable secrecy. In all its existence the Federal Reserve has never been subjected to an audit.According to leakes the TPP empowers foreign banks to challenge new U.S. financial protections on the flimsiest of pretexts –  it becomes “illegal” to  frustrate the banks’ “expectation of profit.”  Hello? There is nothing specific or finite here, nothing to be proven, the profit clause is vague and a generality.TPP is also slated to include deregulation provisions written before the financial crisis – provisions that would conflict with bans on risky derivatives or policies that prevent banks from becoming “too big to fail.”  Sen. Warren and other financial experts are warning Congress and Obama that TPP “could make it harder for Congress and regulatory agencies to prevent future financial crises

So we have to ask the key question – is TPP intended to replace our Constitution?

Way back then, it was the States that created the Union, and they gave no authority to the central government via the U. S. Constitution that would provide powers they were not willing to give the central authority. They did not permit functions or activities given the Union to be given over to any agency outside the Union.

The Constitution states that the President shall have the power only with the Advice and Consent of the Senate to make treaties provided two thirds of the Senators present concur.  (Article II, section 2 paragraph 2)

unconstitutional

Where to from Here?

So what really happened when TPA was railroaded through the Senate when nobody was looking? And what of the everyday citizens and taxpayers of America? Do we still have the rights given us in the Constitution?

The people of America are suspicious and they do not like the TPP; polls show this clearly. Politicians beware.  Polls show an overwhelming majority oppose TPP and they are out there on Social Media howling their outrage. Politicians who support TPP should wake up and smell the coffee.

2016 is just around the corner.

Polls however won’t defeat TPP.  It is only if we stand together to oppose this assault on our constitution, our heritage and our rights. If we stand up and speak out, and get in the face of power will the people be able to overcome TPP’s plutocracy?.

About Transparency- what we still don’t know over ten years later?

Does Government have the right to suppress data in this new Information Age?

We yearn for freedom

Absolutely not.

Before the infamous “911 Commission” was formed, Congress had its own 9/11 investigation…

From February to December, 2002, the Senate and House Intelligence Committees conducted a “Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001.”

The shocking truth is that President Bush censored 28 pages from the report.

Members of Congress who wanted to read the missing pages were first required to swear an oath not to reveal their contents. President Obama promised to release the pages, but hasn’t yet done so; yet another promise broken.

What’s in those pages?

We don’t know and that is what should be unacceptable to all men of goodwill in this new age.

What do we know about this report? We DO know these pages shocked the members of Congress who read them…

  • Rep. Walter Jones: “[T]he information contained in the redacted pages is critical to our foreign policy moving forward and should thus be available to the American public.”
  • Rep. Thomas Massie: “I had to stop every two or three pages and rearrange my perception of history…it’s that fundamental.”

What does this suggest?  That things in the Middle East, and perhaps in the world are not what they seem.  It also suggests that our Government is still withholding data from us and this is unacceptable. We do not want is the American public duped into supporting inappropriate acts of costly aggression which lower our standard of life. What we surely don’t want is more False Flags. It won’t happen if we all agree and demand transparency in Government.

Walter Jones and Rep. Stephen Lynch introduced House Resolution 14, which would declassify these 28 pages and they are to be commended.
